LadyBullDoggeMixed BagI LOVE how the republicunts and “Christians” are upset by this podcast. Since they are the perpetuators of evil, thank goodness for Morbid. On the plus side, the women do very good research and tell a story engagingly. On the other hand, every female victim is apparently “so pretty”. I’ve noticed that this matters in a victim? Also that being a mother elevates their importance. “And she was a MOTHER!!!!!”. It’s tragic that children have lost a mother. That does not make a woman more valuable. I like that both women look up many of the names of places they don’t know but somehow managed not to look up the pronunciation for ANY of the places in the Bay Area for the trailside killer. It was jarring. It’s kinda teenager-y but that may also reflect the fact that I’m almost 50 and not their target audience. If you can’t stand Bravo, Gilmore Girls or bad accents you may also have a hard time as I do. But, again, they do put in the work consistently and make an effort to be kind and that is admirable.

I has ADHD🥴🐐Please listen I love this podcastSo I’ve been listening to this podcast for like two years now and I love it so much it’s so much fun to listen to and I love the way they goof off my favorite kind of episodes are definitely listener tales ghost ones. These people have my love for true crime, weird and morbid stuff and I love it 10 out of 10 guaranteed from me if you read this, please make sure to at least listen to one episode because I really like it I probably listen to like 20 episodes maybe even 30 when I went on a trip trip with my family. It entertained me so so much. It’s definitely a great podcast to just walk around and listen to like for example when you’re driving, it’s a perfect podcast. You just listen to a couple of like episodes are like a listeners’s tale if you’re on the get-go and you need something easy to listen to is your podcast I’ll say this for the last time cause you’re probably gonna get bored of it. I adore this podcast. Also, the nickname is true (lol)

MorbsgirlI’m outIf you like listening to politics and uneducated opinions then this if ur podcast. I’m just waiting for them to talk about karmelo and Austin. Oh wait that will never happen even though it’s true crime. But either way I know they would take karmeloes side just to make themselves look “inclusive” these to disgust me anymore.

JennaSpoNot as good as it used to be.This podcast used to be awesome, but within the last 2 years it’s really tanked.
-
jojofrompaChatsPLEASE. You put so much work into your stories but the 10-15 minutes of cackling at the beginning of EVERY STORY is annoying. Please stop. No longer listen every week.
-
knowledgeaholicBoring and unnecessarily profaneThis show is so boring. Just two girls taking in whiny voices about a case with each sentence laced with as many F bombs as they can. Don’t waste your time
-
wobble duckLove these incredible womenThis podcast always makes everyday a little more bearable. I know that’s a little weird considering that this is a true crime podcast but it’s true. I love these wonderful, funny, intelligent women and I am so happy I found this podcast.

NotherGoldieLove yaSmall gripe on the David Carpenter episode. He was born in 1930 so he would have gone through school in the 1930s-40s, not the 1950s you repeatedly mentioned.

northsid3shawtyActually a liberal podcastI started listening in 2021 when I was looking for a new true crime podcast. I’m a PROUD Christian and republican and throughout the years I’ve just overlooked a lot of their opinions and rants but I gotta say, releasing an episode called 666 beast or whatever DURING HOLY WEEK is where I draw the line. I even bought Alana’s book that was trash because she just couldn’t give a normal thriller, no, she had to insert her views and opinions in almost every part of it. It went to the trash and I’m done giving this podcast my listen. Good riddance, goodbye.

Sid momToo many side storieslove listening to murder mystery shows, however biggest downside to this is all the cursing .. for no reason .. and i can play the game how many times does the host say like during this 30 min story .. please stop getting sidetracked with all the banter just cover the story do not recommend

ashandemmaTA favorite!Update: 4-17-25- still a listener and still love it ALL! The rants, side quest conversations, the way you cover the topics, the care for the victims, the hate for the guilty. This was my first true crime podcast I listened to. I have listened to others and appreciate their styles but Morbid is full of personality and positivity on such serious topics. I enjoy their storytelling style. Love it! Update: I’ve listened to almost the entire roster of shows! i still love this podcast, the way they share opinions, real life happenings with them and the world and everything in between.
-
LaaneeNot funnyTo laugh about the priest who performed the exorcism. A real turn off.
-
Renee2382Starting to get irritatedUsed to love this podcast, but the cutting up and long drawn out side conversations are really starting to get on my nerves. Have your side conversations at home before you record. The cases are really interesting, but I’ve had to cancel listening so many times because it’s getting OUT of CONTROL! Stawwppp it!!!!!
-
Frontier Hero!i am obsessed.i have been listening for about two years and absolutely love ash and alaina so much and this pod. I love hearing their options and the banter:))) I know some people don’t like the rants but I live for them and love how they tell the cases. I wish they did more missing persons or recent cases but otherwise I love

Kj4peaceDisappointedLady GAGA is a zionist. I wish you used your platform in an anti Zionist way. You can’t be THAT uneducated not to know there’s a Genocide happening all over the world and Gaga is complicit.

JNDRanchdamonLove This PodcastMy husband and I absolutely love these two ladies. They are funny and the stories are so interesting. Well done!!
-
Wronged manLess male hate please!!!!Foist of all love yall so much I listen to every episode that I can on my way to work, and I agree lots of my gender are COMPLETE douche bags but not all of us are and it breaks my heart to see men as a broad name being slandered, and I’m allready ashamed enough about the Oval Office (trump) being mostly male votes and I have huge beef now with a woman at my work who I asked out and she denied then after I respectfully clocked out after apologizing profusely she then proceeded to spread around my work that I was sexually harassing her it has really hurt me and the male hate from yall is really disturbing to me again I love yall but please LESS MALE HATEEEEE!!!
-
tma7593Love the stories. Hate the rants.I’m getting really tired of being preached at. The stories are very interesting. The rants are out of control. I don’t want to stop listening to my favorite podcast, but I get so distracted and off-put by the mid-story tangents and rants that I forget what the tale was about and stop listening. Please stick to the topic. Also, not everything needs to be compared to some juvenile tv show.
-
Molly34896Could be a great listenI would love this podcast, but the swearing and side tangents are too irritating. Why so much swearing? It doesn't add anything to the story and makes you sound stupid. The long side tangents to emphasize their point are the worst. We get it, move on.
-
WAJ314TrashCan’t even get through a story without going to some dumb story

MorganHere555My Honest ReviewI like this podcast, the hosts can get off topic sometimes and can talk about other stuff outside of the podcast for large portions of time. Which can be irritating. I enjoy hearing about their personal lives and opinions because it feels like you're listening to a friend speak to you. I love when they have guest speakers on. I wouldn't recommend this podcast to people who are Christian because a lot of times the hosts speak about them in not the best light. This is because Christianity has a big role in a lot of history, especially with the spiritual side of history. But also I believe, i'm not completely sure, I heard them speak about their backgrounds with religion and growing up religious. And honestly that's their own way of expression and their own experiences. So I think if someone doesn't like it, just go find another one.
-
ElmclainBest podcast everI love this podcast so much. I listen every day and love the topics covered. Hearing Ash and Alaina speak so passionately about cases and bringing awareness to the victims is amazing! I never want to run out of episodes!
-
Niki9393The best podcast!Hands down. I love you ladies!
-
AZ2324amYikesI used to love this podcast but I was appalled listening to this most recent episode. Mocking the Christians and Christian faith. SCREAMING “Jesus Christ” over and over again is a bad look. Also can you please stop bringing up politics? It’s a true crime podcast not Joe Rogan. Overall just disrespectful coming from 2 women that claim they are inclusive. Gross behavior. Bring back listener tales your stories are getting boooring no one cares what happened in 1920 for crying out loud. Unfollowing.
-
Hannah_batesMaking funI feel like in the past these 2 were tolerant of other religions. The episode I just listened to about the haunting ash kept saying “Jesus Christ” over and over in a mocking way and it was so not cool. Bummed.
-
MaiasageLove you guys! Can you please do more episodes of survival type scenarios? They are my favorite! Like nutty putty cave incident and all the plane crash episodes…I’m craving more!! Appreciate the level of research you do, keep it weeeiiiird
-
A135$Shut up and get on with it.These hosts make me want to hear fingernails on a chalkboard. Stop joking around and get to the topic.
-
paperpigeonsStop using blaccents 🫠I stopped listening when the I noticed the hosts using a blaccent— they do so when emphasizing a point which became intolerable. Please stop doing this— it’s embarrassing.
-
kzlmazoohrnwmImpossible to followSuper annoying how they can’t get through the story with all the interjections and going off topic. I just had to stop listening
-
K.C.92Such a good time! 😂Alaina: “So many fathers” Ash: “lots of fathers. Daddies everywhere” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 this exorcism episode had me cracking up! Love them so much
-
B.R.A.N.D.IDisappointingThe way you guys kind of mock and laugh at Christianity but then turn around and try to say it’s ok to have your own beliefs is disrespectful. A lot of victims you guys talk about believe in God and Jesus and you mock them on demotic ep. Yet you don’t mock any other religion. Love you guys but could you stop laughing at Christians you claim to care about.
-
bigbadragzChristian LongoYou guys rule. Just wanted to suggest you guys doing an episode on this case. Thanks
-
Ted BendyNoNo thanks. These two are insane
-
michelle.fdo21“I was gonna say…”I used to be a huge fan, but the format has just gotten worse over the years. Ash is a good storyteller but Alaina interjects frequently and spends too much time criticizing obvious things. Often, if one person is talking and gives an opinion, the other jumps in with “I was gonna say!” and then repeats the point that was already made. Overall it’s messy and exhausting.
-
KayLynch19Love this!Such a fun podcast! I love the combo of true crime and paranormal.
-
LJBTWeeeeeirdI adore them! Listening is like sitting down for coffee with friends. I listen to other podcasts but this is the only one that I miss hearing when I'm waiting for a new episode.

Big Mama HughesInsipid Podcast For Mindless Background NoiseHaving tried this podcast several times, I don’t understand how *anyone* who’s actually listening to it can enjoy it as anything other than morning radio talk show banter (which I don’t like, hence trying it several times to see if it ever goes beyond that - it doesn’t). That mindless chatter coupled with both the stunning lack of research and the hosts’ total disregard of valid criticisms on their social media is a big no for me. For extroverts who need background noise of conversation when they’re alone? Sure, this fits that bill. For anyone who actually wants accurate true crime material? Skip it, you’ll be disappointed. The number of people who actually like this podcast for its content is just further confirmation for me that humans are doomed as a species. If I could give it negative stars, I would.

_Elle_Cole_Weirdos for GuillotinesAfter the recent episodes covering the Killer Hippie I had to go back to the underwater days to re-watch (oops, I mean re-listen) to Edmund Kemper. I found it, the very moment you spooky ooo-ky babes hooked me.. “I think we’ve all decapitated a doll here or there.” Thank you for continuously piquing my curiosity, inspiring laughter & tears & nostalgia & disgust & joy in just 30 seconds of 1.5x speed, and empowering the embrace of weirdo culture, whatever that looks like for each of us!

Bobby BallsackioRattling dishes? AbsurdThe idea that dishes rattling gave away the position of the USS Indianapolis is more of a myth or misunderstanding than a factual account. Let’s break it down: 1. Sonar and Sound Detection In WWII, enemy submarines primarily used passive sonar to listen for ships — essentially underwater microphones. These could pick up engine noise, propeller cavitation, and other mechanical sounds. But it would be extremely unlikely for something like dishes rattling inside the ship to be audible from a submarine underwater. 2. Ship Noise Hierarchy The USS Indianapolis was a heavy cruiser, and its engines, screws (propellers), and hull vibrations would’ve produced far more acoustic signature than anything happening inside the galley. Even the ship’s plumbing or electric generators would have been louder. Dishes rattling? Not even close. That sound wouldn’t transmit effectively through the hull and water in a way sonar could detect. 3. Origin of the Myth The idea that rattling dishes gave away the ship’s position likely stems from anecdotal or dramatized retellings, not any factual sonar detection. It’s a colorful story but not technically plausible. It may have been a metaphor for vibrations caused by the ship’s speed or maneuvering — not the literal cause of its discovery. 4. What Really Happened to the USS Indianapolis The ship was not tracked or targeted because of noise. It was sailing alone, unescorted, and was torpedoed by a Japanese submarine (I-58) more due to being in the wrong place at the wrong time than because of any detectable noise profile. There’s no historical record or credible military source that supports the dishes theory. So in short: No, the rattling dishes did not give away the ship’s position. It’s a story that may have been used to illustrate how fast or unstable the ship was moving, but it’s not supported by physics or historical accounts.

BK8861Too painful of a formatToo painful of a format to listen to. Try some of the other wondery show formats where it’s presented in a story telling format. This format is just 2 idiot chicks blathering and giggling to each other
-
mysticbubble#1‼️Absolutely my favorite podcast. I have listened to every single episode and Alainas episodes at least 2 or 3 times. So comforting for me!! My favorite part of this podcast is the way Ash makes Alaina laugh. Reminds me so much of me and my sister.
-
TaderrrrGetting really cringe and annoyingBeen listening to awhile now and while I enjoy the content, starting to agree with the complaints about Alaina and Ash getting really cringe and annoying. Getting really tired of Alaina's high and mighty rants, like towards the end of eps 659 about Kristin O'Connell, and the both of them screaming about signing the petition. Just let us know the info, we don't need your rants and annoying high pitched voice. Also some of the intros are just getting out of hand. We don't need 12 minutes of garbage to start off the episode.
-
tmjordan1980Why does Alaina always need all of the attention?Alaina is dominant and Ash is passive; a good mix except when Ash is the storyteller. If Alaina isn’t too interested in the story, she’ll interject unnecessarily, make jokes and try to change the focus. They get off track telling inside jokes and even joking about the victim. It’s disrespectful.
-
Jess LovicAmazingMy fav podcast
-
Momma JenksJust an okay podcastStarted off good. I like how they advocate for the victim and the unjustly accused. I don’t care for the political comments. Their views have nothing to do with the outcome of the crime. Sometimes I feel they just talk to fill up time. I’ll check out some other podcasts.
