I have to agree with others. This was my husband and I’s favorite podcasts when Ashley hosted, and we were SO sad when she stopped. When I saw it was started back up we were seriously so excited, but I honestly just can’t get through any of the new episodes. The personal stories and little banter back and forth is so staged and feels forced. We still listen to the podcast all the time, but only the old episodes where Ashley is the narrator.

Wait! Do these new hosts really think people want to hear about their personal lives? They were supposed to take the week off but they couldn’t resist getting back on the podcast to talk about themselves? And a whole episode of it?

Thoroughly enjoyed the podcast until the April 4th 2025 episode Aliens in the Hudson Valley when the hosts decided to push weather related conspiracy theories on listeners. In this day and age when science (especially meteorology) is under attack pushing baseless conspiracy theories is dangerous and harmful. Fog forms in winter it is as simple as that. There is no conspiracy theory it was just fog. I’ve listened to this show since the original run but I’m unfollowing and will no longer be listening. I cannot support a show that encourages baseless conspiracy theories that only increase distrust in scientists.

I tried so hard to like it. The content is so good, but the hosts need a lot more practice. They speak so slow, I had to check and make sure I didn’t accidentally put it on 1/2 speed. Rather than being themselves, they try to mimic Ashley Flowers and it makes it sound inauthentic. They also sound like they are reading scripts word for word. I know most podcasts have a script, but you have to make it sound like you’re not reading. Some of the episodes have sounded so interesting but I can’t make it through bc of the hosts. I really am not trying to be mean, just be honest.

Have to agree with many of the other commenters. I’ve listened to Ashley’s voice for hours in the the previous seasons. Heard all the episodes far more often than I’ll openly admit. The new format simply isn’t working for your core audience. It feels like scripted “girl time” and has very little of what the show used to deliver. Really tried to like the relaunch - slogged through the first 10 episodes- but the co hosts are simply distracting and add very little value. Can’t Ashley just come back and be amazing all by herself?

I feel really bad saying this but with the new hosts I just can’t listen. I think the new hosts should start a children’s spooky story podcast. They seem lovely but not for this podcast. Has totally changed the vibe, and I loved it before when it was Ashley.

The new so supernatural is great and I love how much more information is given. Finished listening to La Llorona and it’s so nice to hear them pronounce her name right and speak Spanish good! I also loved the night marchers episode too! You can tell it was close to the girls hearts. :)

Should have just left it alone if she wasn’t going to be hosting it. I cannot stand the hosts voices and the way they tell the story.

One of my favorite podcasts, it is so much fun and very interesting. They cover everything from UFOs to Bigfoot and ghost stories.

Supernatural was my favorite podcast of all time when Ashley hosted it. It seriously got me through the pandemic! I was so happy when I heard Audio Chuck purchased Supernatural, I couldn’t wait to hear new episodes!! I was so disappointed when I heard the new hosts, they are terrible. They sound like nails on a chalkboard, I tried I really tried but they sound so scripted. Sounds like they are just reading off a script that was handed to them. Such a shame! Wish Ashley would come back and host the entire show!!!!!!

I used to love listening to this podcast but I can’t stand the new hosts. They are trying their best but the way they talk is so scripted and fake it’s not like a conversation talking about the cases even the small banter is scripted and no emotion when they talk. I’ve tried to give it time but it’s not like it used to be and not worth listening to anymore.

Liked the old supernatural better. I don’t like the personal stories and rather just listen to the facts of the stories. Stick to the stories.

I really tried, but I’m going to have to agree with others. The new hosts are awful. It’s like listening to paint dry. A whole lot of nothing. Please bring anyone else on to host. This is not their gift and that’s ok. This used to be a great podcast. Not so much anymore.

Love the concept, love the stories, don’t love the hosts sorry to say. They just sound so scripted and I find it distracting. Keep it going, but reconsider the narrators please.

First off SHAZZAM I Listen to this podcast for a long time I thought it went away so I stopped the auto downloads I was going through to just delete podcast off the thingie that had not put out anything in a long time and I saw that so super I was like wow she is still working so I downloaded like I think 60 plus episodes and burned through them at work in less then 2 weeks. All 3 of you are doing great And just so the people that are long time listeners maybe from time to time read a renascent positive review so they know how cool you 3 are But not mine I just like you are putting out content

I’ve held off posting a review on this…in prayer that it would get better. But here I am. Years ago now…this show was my gateway drug into podcasts as a whole…prior to even knowing about Crime Junkie, Ashley Flowers, or anything related (also, please bring back It’s a Wonderful Lie, I beg you) I was promptly obsessed. When I heard it was coming back…I was beside myself. Then the baton was handed off to what seem like genuinely nice people, (but those people have never read anything aloud other than their children’s bedtime stories) and woof. I keep trying to get past it…and alas, I cannot. I understand that Ashley is busy, and the need for a new host is acceptable (I did desperately root for the new hosts)…but I have to be honest, it is not a fit. Please, please, please either help them with podcast reading training, Ashley come back, or find a host who has the gravitas to carry the topics of this show so that it doesn’t disappear again!!!

I was a little miffed when Ashley switched hosts in us, but I’m glad I didn’t call it quits. The vibe is different, sure, but I appreciate that they’ve been authentic to who they are instead of trying to be copycats, and I really enjoy the show.

I’m usually not into supernatural podcasts but when it was Ashley hosting I got hooked! Now every week is a struggle to get through the episode because the new hosts are horrible! For being sisters they have no chemistry and it’s very obvious they’re (poorly) reading from a script. Also, do they have to mention they’re from Hawaii every single episode!?!? They fined a way to shoehorn that in no matter what, which usually messes up the flow of the story and leads to awkward transitions. Just bring Ashley back, or have Brit do it and it’ll be great!

While I love the new stories, Ashley connected to listeners more than Yvette and Rasha. Ashley doing the intro reminds me of the old Pod which was in my opinion better than the new episodes

I was so excited to hear Supernatural was back! The new stories so far have been really interesting. I think Rasha and Yvette have become a lot more nuanced since the beginning and I definitely judged them too early. I can honestly admit I wasn’t on board with them as hosts. I do miss having Ashley host the show, just for the more spooky/moody vibe, but I admire how these sisters have made the show their own and have been so vulnerable with us.

I’ve tried, I just can’t relate to the people that host the show now. They’re just not good at this, bring Ashley back or give us someone new. My opinion only. Idk.

I want to like this more than I do. Mostly, the hosts interactions are noticeably scripted and hard to listen to. It’s tough to get lost in the story when the presentation seems so contrived. One thing I always enjoy about Crime Junkies is that Ashley might be reading at times, but there’s more personality and liveliness when doing so. Plus, her interactions with Brit come across as genuine. It makes all the difference. The podcast relaunch is just missing that similar dynamic.

Ashley please comeback as the host, these two are extremely boring. I always try to give these episodes a shot and without fail, I never finish an episode because of these two hosts. Dull and scripted as if they were trying to ready from a book. I wish I could leave ZERO stars.

I enjoy this show so much I was so excited when Ashley announced she was bringing it back! I have to admit I miss her on the show but the new hosts have grown on me these new topics are great and I can’t wait to hear more! I still go back and listen to the old ones even though I’ve listened about 100 times!

So I was not the biggest fan when Ashley left, i didn’t like how they told the stories, it wasn’t the same. I decided to give them another try and they have improved sooo much. I think if they keep working at it and make it sound a little more natural they’ll be the perfect hosts!

I've listened to almost the whole series and it's never failed to put me asleep ( that's a good thing for me, it means I like your voices)! Even after falling asleep I go back and listen to the episode again so I can actually hear the story. I love all of the topics to choose from as well, sometimes it's hard to find a show that actually has variety in the supernatural topics. I love the new hosts and the episodes of just Ashley. Every episode feels like a new adventure and I can't thank you enough for that! This show as well as Crime Junkie and a few others is put together so well. Highly recommend even if you aren't a believer of all things So Supernatural!!

The topics are great. However, the podcast was a lot better when it was just Ashley. We got more details. The stories didn’t jump around as much. It’s hard to follow with all the banter. Old podcast was 5/5!

I hate to leave bad reviews, but it’s really difficult to listen to the hosts. They sound like they’re reading scripts and their tone & cadence is unnatural and awkward.

The show is just not the same with the new hosts Ashley Flowers has presenting the episodes. I really like the subjects covered but the two hosts are so dull I rarely make it through a full episode. Either take back the podcast or find a new host because these two are not it.

I’ve listened to several episodes now and there have been many opportunities for the hosts to interject with some critical thinking. All too often, on the rare occasion they mention “other explanations”, or critical analysis of the claims, they brush the criticisms aside. In the Annabelle episode, for example, after mentioning that there is a lot of evidence pointing to the fact that the Warren’s were liars and hucksters, they seem to brush that aside and conclude “those who don’t want to believe will always find a reason not to believe”. But they have it backwards. If one is making fantastical, supernatural claims, it’s up to them to provide the overwhelming evidence as to the veracity of the claim. With the Warren’s having been completely discredited, and little evidence for the veracity of any of the Annabelle stories, portraying this stuff like it all really happened, and not someone’s unverifiable story isn’t justified by the facts and is a bit disingenuous. Unsubscribe. Go listen to Monster Talk instead. They have an episode on Ed and Lorraine Warren.

Nothing against the new hosts but they are not as engaging as Ashley and their banter annoys me. I loved this show when Ashley hosted but have skipped a ton of episodes since the new hosts started. Please come back Ashley!

i was so excited for supernatural to come back as i listened to all of the original episodes. once ashley rebooted it, i couldn't get enough. with the new hosts, it's become too much commentary than storytelling. probably won't listen again until it's ashley again, if that ever happens

So I found this podcast last year and started listening to it from the oldest episodes to the more recent. I am now at the end of 2024 and unfortunately am not that big of a fan of the new hosts. It’s nothing personal to them, I just prefer Ashley’s tone and the way she speaks more than these new ladies. They laugh a lot and make the episodes more goofy than mysterious and intriguing. Their tones and humor take away from the subject matter and changes the whole aspect of the show. Alas, I guess I’ll be searching for something new. It’s super unfortunate but things happen I guess.

I wish they did more of them because I just love these stories. The hosts are great speak to the audience like friends.

Yvette and Rasha are fantastic storytellers and so engaging always looking forward to the next interesting episode!

I’m a huge fan of the show, and I have learned so much. However, I like the stories to be told without all of the extra commentary between the two hosts. It kind of takes the listener away from the story and hard to listen to details and facts. I hope you will consider this in future shows. However, I’m still a fan. :-)

Magic is always a mystery. I have heard and read of some claims of such, but have no real belief or confirmation of it. But interesting enough, as when it borders along the lines of reality. Voodoo is a version somewhat of supernatural that is actually misunderstood as evil, when its origin is of all positive and goodness. Both of such as magic and voodoo is witnessed and experienced only in one’s own mind, body and soul. Ancient text of Gods and Serpents were the ‘Netflix’ version of the then social entertainment. But all never cease to arouse the imagination. I DO although, tend to have belief of possible spirits that may roam and view from that of some birds and mammals. This world is none different from our universe, whereas we are only meant to venture so far and no more, both within (planetary) or outward (universal), thus both are considered Alpha and Omega, the very beginning and ending of all things. - s.jxn - ga

I’m totally hooked and love the flow between Rasha and Yvette. It is never easy to take over an existing show and they bring their own style to it.
