I paid for premium to access new episodes early, but the last 3 episodes are all the exact same audio, with different titles. I doubt malicious intent, but why pay & receive nothing? Fix it!

Love the info, distracted by chitchat
Love the host and guests, but got tired of hosts trying to be funny and make jokes out of anything. No one wants a lecture, however, as someone who works at making nutrition presentations digestible, all puns intended, I would have liked the side comments cut in half. On the other hand, they are way more popular than me.

Comedy at the expense of science
Ahead of a recent roadtrip, I downloaded all podcasts in this series. The early ones were great. The later content caused me to delete the entire library. When the expert guests must keep the podcast on track, your sophomoric “comedy” has caused you to jump through shark. I, for one, listen for the science, not the inane babble.

    Being There
Telling stories about exploring doesn’t get any better than when three middle-school boys, disguised as accomplished men, share their love of and respect for the cosmos and their passion to learn all they can from it and from each other.

    Learning with laughter
I decided to listen to learn a few things. Didn’t realize I was also going to entertained with so much comedy. So great. Keep it up.

    A great cast
The rapport of Chuck and Neil is perfect. And Chuck just generally makes me laugh; he makes this podcast as humorous as it is educational. Thank you, guys!

    Chuck please stop
The topics and content is always so enjoyable but chuck NEEEEDS to please stop contributing. It is not funny and I can feel how uncomfortable the guests are.

    I always learn something!
It’s like I’m back in college sitting in a class, but with a little humor!

    Love the show but
Sometimes Neil we want to hear the guest talk. We know you are smart.

    Advice
What is the point of having guests if they’re talked over and interrupted? Please let them finish their thoughts and let them share in the expertise in whatever they are here to talk about. There’s room for all of us to shine.
  • Electraboo
    Neil chill lol
Love the show and Neil but I wish Neil wouldn’t interrupt so much and let the guests finish their sentences so we could learn more about what they have to say. That’s why they’re there after all…

Thank you for doing this podcast. It’s so informative and funny. I always feel a little bit smarter after listening to an episode <3

    Neil is awesome but….
Long time listener and had to write this. The yelling from Chuck is so ridiculous, talking over guest and he is just not funny. Lately I cannot listen to the whole podcast.

Neil DeGrasse Tyson is beyond brilliant!
This podcast should be mandatory. He explains things in such an interesting way that even I can understand it! Big Bang theory!

    One of the Best
Quite possibly the best podcast on astronomy, astrophysics, and science in general. Long-running too, so tons of backlog content. NdT is one of the best teachers of our time, making this podcast both entertaining and educational. After listening to this from the very beginning, alas, it’s time to say goodbye. Too many podcasts these days, and can only focus on those relevant to my work, so unfortunately this needs to be cut. But, if you have even a passing interest in science, you need to give this a listen!
  • mtnmliver
    Neil!
if anyone out there is reading these reviews the VAST agreement is : LET people finish their sentences and thoughts ! RELISTEN to one of these Neil and just chill out and let your guests teach us something VERY FRUSTRATING
  • Marco Fernandooo
    Been listening for years
Neil is an unbiased objective viewer of scientific truth. That’s the highest place in the scientific realm. I do wish it was more focused on cutting edge research paper (citations), thanks!
  • coneofart
    Love the show
But please allow your guests to finish a thought. There have been some very interesting people on here and I feel like we miss out when their train of thought is interrupted and then you move on to another question or topic. It’s a little frustrating and makes the show less enjoyable to listen to. Please allow some more runway for your guests! Thank you.

    Disappointed
The content is always great and Neil’s cosmic perspectives are always appreciated. However, I’ve noticed ads for gambling apps and online casinos in recent episodes. I’m sure like many podcasts these days, you all don’t do direct ads sales. But I don’t think that gets you off the hook for what you’re representing. I’m also sure you know that these apps are a cash grab that’s harming the stupid, ignorant, and addicted. I can’t imagine this is what you intend to be promoting. I’d love to see it fixed.

    Fusion power
We already have fusion power. No need to build a factory, no need for transmission lines and it is free! We call it the sun, just add photo panels. So simple…..are we over looking this solution?

    Stars-can’t-talk Radio
While I appreciate your enthusiasm Neil, let your guests speak. Nobody can finish a sentence without your constant interruptions.

    Disappointed
Neil brings in excellent guests but the podcast has fundamental flaws. Some episodes have a comedian as cohost. Those episodes are mostly terrible IMO because the comedians add no value and usually miss the mark with their humor. He also ruined two episodes about one of my favorite movies, Interstellar. When Neil interviewed Kip Thorne he was unprepared and misremembered details from the film. When he interviewed Christopher Nolan he only shared about 10 minutes from a 45-minute interview. Instead of airing the entire interview, he had a comedian and Janna Levin share their thoughts about interview clips in a live audience podcast taping. What a waste!
  • Spartan sauce
    Good show
Love to listen butttt.. Neil’s gotta stop cutting people off and let them finish what they have to say.. when Chuck nice is the cohost I always listen; I think he makes the show.
  • Boodreax
    Let Your Guests Talk!
I enjoy this show, but it is essentially a NDG monologue. He rarely allows the guests to complete their thoughts, but he always completes his. He should just turn it into a show where him and Lord Nice talk because we don’t get much more than sound bites from guests like Brian Cox.
  • Brian Beaton
    To much Gary!
He seems like a nice guy, and a great producer. He’s not really great on the show though. Otherwise, it’s awesome! Thanks so much

    Keeping my looking up
Hey Chuck, Hey Neil. Love the show I give 5 stars! I do want to know… I bought tickets for my son and I to see Neil at an auditorium in April. Is this a scam? I don’t recall hearing any promotion of this tour. Therefore I’m second guessing my purchase. Am I going to get there, and it’s actually a sock puppet show? Can we get some clarification here? I’m super excited about it, but I’d rather have my bubble popped before I make the drive. Thank you. Ps if I can ever afford it I’ll become a patron! For sure😁

    Sociopaths
Listen to spoiled brat parasites wax benevolent godliness over the stupid unwashed masses. Please all of you go to space and never come back while we real people try to overthrow our slavery based feudal system. Sociopaths. Take it from someone who works around these people. They are violent sociopaths.

You love to drive listeners away!
I love when science is the topic and you have fun talking about it. Most of the guest are great (loved hearing Queen Latifa who seems like an amazing person). Neil seems cool but I’m pretty sure he’s covering up a massive narcissistic ego. Bill Nye, who I loved as a child, is trash. He tries to come off as funny (it doesn’t work) while he spends his time talking down to people. I’m still in fairly early episodes, getting close to pre-first term Trump, and already they’re letting their stupid and out of touch politics seep into the show in their annoying, fart box sniffing way. Chuck is not funny nearly as often as he thinks he is. *sigh* I can’t wait for the fun in the next few episodes when Trump wins and hear them crying into their big vajayjays.

    Beautiful episode, thank you!
I just listened to the Michelle Nichols episode. I almost skipped it completely because I didn’t think it would be the content I was expecting, and it was not. It was fantastic! I watched Star Trek later in the late 80s early 90s and from a different perspective. I didn’t realize how moving and generational her role was. I can’t stop thinking about the long-term effects from her role. I don’t even know what else to say. Thanks for sharing.

    Real science with real fun
I’ve listened to three episodes of StarTalk with Neil deGrasse Tyson so far, and I’m already hooked. This is a real scientist with a genuine passion for the stars, the cosmos, and science in general, and it shows. What I love most is how the show blends real, fact-based information with a light, funny, and very human tone along what special guests. The conversations are approachable and relatable, but they don’t skimp on depth—and the humor keeps me coming back for more. If you want to learn about the universe without it feeling like a lecture, this podcast is perfect.

Use to be a fan of NDT but he has unfortunately been effected by the woke mind virus.

    Left wing science
i think neil is jealous of elon musk for taking his spot light as the public scientist that is usually a household name and accomplishing more than he ever will. I also i saw his video on gender theory. NDT is officially lost his mind. no longer a credible scientist to me.

    Interstellar
Neil is wrong. The initial letter of each book did not spell out stay. Cooper used the books to spell stay using Morse Code.

    Lord Nice Fan
Neil is a legend and does a terrific job of breaking down complex topics. I’m also a huge fan of (Lord) Chuck Nice. For a layperson he has an incredible understanding of the topics but as a nonscientist keeps the others in check to not go too far astray from common understanding. The show is hugely entertaining and leaves you feeling smarter.
