AnonymousReviewerTodayIt’s not TrekcastIt’s not Trekcast without David and Darren. They might as well have changed the name. This show used to be so good in its heyday. I always looked forward to it. I guess, all good things come to an end eventually. It’s sad, this used to be THE Star Trek podcast. It was so fun to listen to. Part of me hopes that David will get some nostalgia, at some point, for the days of doing this show, for his interest in Star Trek, and make another run at it.

BravesFan134SMHThe good days of Trekcast is gone, they should’ve let it fade away instead of rebooting it with these clowns. Used to listen to The podcast every week with Dave and Darron. I even gave the new guys a chance. Only enjoyment you’ll get out of this podcast is listening to the earlier episodes.

learsmearIf I could give zero stars I would.I listen to quite a few podcasts after every new episode, since I do not have any friends who nerd out as much as I do on Trek. I enjoy hearing other talk about the shows. I unsubscribed after the review of “There Is A Tide...” - the barrage of negativity in conjunction with names and scenes being COMPLETELY misquoted was ridiculous! How do you guys run a podcast when you can’t even remember the details of how things went down well enough to back up your bad language and hate?

Bigbk 5dc6Fallen from grace. This used to be a fantastic podcast with excellent hosts and amazing production values. I’m grateful to David and Darren for the nearly decade of podcast they gave us. Unfortunately, the next generation team need to step up the production values and try to have more interesting discussions. I gave the new team a fair chance but I just can’t listen anymore. I unsubscribed long ago but check to see if the old crew ever comes back. They aren’t coming back.

preston343117ReviewI am only 14 so don’t judge, but this show was really funny and I enjoyed it.

Reviewer74MC“a nice review”good show. love it. very nice.

Beaukay917Wow, awful interviewsEpisode 206 is my first time listening to Trekcast and it will be my last. The interviews were just abysmal l. Terrible sound quality, poor questions, and unprepared interviewers they left in a part where they were arguing about whether or not they even had the interview scheduled. If an actor takes time to talk with you, you don’t make them feel unappreciated by saying it wasn’t scheduled... and if you do, EDIT THAT OUT. There are much better Trek podcasts out there worth your time. This is not one of them.

Mmkw78GreatFun listen for all sci-fi fans 👽👍🏻

I Don't Know PodcastIt will hook you!Only listened to ONE episode and I already know this will be one of my all-time favorites (and I’m not even a die-hard Trekkie) The guys have a great time recording and it shows! Can’t wait for the next one!
-
TremolayBoringThis podcast is terribly hosted. Way too much dead air, nonsense and unfunny banter. If the guys would be a bit more lively and excited about what they're taking about, it'd be a different review. There are better Star Trek podcasts out there.
-
Darth FritterNot as good anymoreDefinitely not as good since Darren and Dave left. Lots of dead air. Get it together a little bit better here, guys.

popculture crazed fantrekfanwolf359Love the podcast. Problem is your episodes are far and in between. I'd love to have a weekly podcast again like back in the good ol' days where ya all never missed a week of delivering top notch trek.
-
ViejaCaliforniaTreksperts.Hand's down, the best Star Trek podcast out there. Like hanging out and talking Trek with your best buds. Lots of fun. Live long and prosper!

bobosoDisappears now and the nReviewed. 5 star. Now put out a show please?

eessqqD=D, D=CDavid has turned out to be a DOUCHE BAG and Darren deserves an "A" for trying to work with him, but earns a "C" for sticking with davy ivy.
-
OracanaReviewIt's a great Podcast.

davekillKeep'n Trek RealJust listened to the new 'Engage: The Official Star Trek Podcast' hosted by the Nerdtron 5000, I suspect an unemployed AM drive-time radio bot. Here's 5 stars of gratitude for your real knowledge, fun, and fandom!
-
TroopercappLove it!🖖🏻I have been listening for two or three years. Your crew is very entertaining. David, Darren & Alicia, please keep casting!!!
-
CometmanOutside the boxDave and Darren love Star Trek. They love it like I do. But this podcast isn’t just about Star Trek, it about the culture and the world we live in, with some Star Trek thrown in. Its a can’t miss podcast. Keep up the great work!

hermheadAWESOMEThe best Star Trek podcast out there!

Raised on Star TrekUnsubscribedI really appreciate the discussion and analysis, but when the gentlemen talk about female characters, it is like hearing a really bad note in an otherwise fantastic song-I cringe. For example, when talking about the new show, the hosts discussed potential female actors primarily in terms of how "hot" they are, whereas with male actors they talk about their acting skills. This is one example among many. It may seem small, but it is just the kind of thing when taken together that reinforces the feeling that Star Trek fandom (and science fiction generally) is exclusively the domain of men. It is especially disappointing when fans of Star Trek defy the beauty of exclusivity to which the series aspired. While I am sure it is unconscious, it is enough to make me reluctantly unsubscribe. I have never written a iTunes podcast review before. I also rarely point this kind of thing out because I know the kind of vitriol it elicits (there a few excitable folks out there that would like to keep the science fiction genre (white) boys only). However, I am just so disappointed that this show didn't turn out to be what I thought it could be, and that I will now miss out on what is otherwise a interesting discussion. I hope the podcast lives long and prospers and evolves closer to the vision for Star Trek. For now, this is me, as they say, voting with my feet, or more appropriately, ears.

Angelo@NYCGames and story arcs. Nice!Good episdoe. Funny as well. Laugh out loud a couple of times listening to you two complain about the phasers on STNG and the Kazon/Maqui on Voyager. As for Star Trek games by far the best one ever created was Birth of the Federation by the now defunked Microprose. The orginal coin operated arcade game was good as well, but didn't beat the Star Wars one. Story arc on STNG was on point, espically on Star Trek : Nemesis. You left out Yesterday's Enterprise with the Tasha Yar living arc that spans a couple of season and leads into Unification. I thought they might have made something out of Conspiraacy, the bloodest Star Trek episdoe by far, but never heard from those mind controling roaches again. Voyager had kind of a mirror episode where the Doctor was actived in a museam that showed Voyager as a murderous crew. Ben Vereen starred in the sitcome Benson. Great show, really enjoy it, and keep up the good work!

sanctus17Best Star Trek Cast PeriodI encourage everyone to look around the interwebs and check out the various Star Trek podcasts. There are definitely some good ones out there, but I keep coming back to Trek Cast because it is simply the best. It is the most consistently entertaining, thought provoking and informative Star Trek podcast out there. The reason is pretty simple; David Ivy and Darren Benjamin obviously love Star Trek and they are not ashamed of it. This show runs the gamut between TOS and JJ's Trek with skill, humor, philospophy and introspection. You will discover several things by listening such as the fact that Darren worked at the Star Trek experience and David hates Dr. Crusher. You will quickly learn to overlook these oft stated facts because you will be enjoying the show too much. If you, like me, have few or no friends who love Star Trek as much as you do, you need to listen to this show.

B-He-ZAmazingThis is the most amazing podcast I have found on my iPhone. I have been listening to this cast for about 3 months now and I have caught up on every episode. Now I am starting over from the beginning. You know kind of how we watch Star Trek. Keep up the good work guys and please upload more episodes soon. Thank you.

Lisa Marie 8472Number one rated for a reason! What a fun podcast! I love the commentary and the chemistry between hosts. They also have some awesome Trek musical interludes and PSAs that are hilarious. Most of all, David Ivy's voice and cadence are clear and radio professional; this podcast does not sound like it was made in your mom's basement. Keep up the good work guys, and can't wait to meet you at the Khaaaaan!
-
CelesteJHGreat show!I listen on the way to work and at lunch. You guys are SO much better than the news! Perfect blend of Trek knowledge, humor and entertainment! Any Trekkie should hear this!
-
SynthaholicsLong live Trek CastI've only been listening to the show since late 2014 but I have binge listened to all the episodes and I love it. It was like a time warp hearing about the Star Trek Experience closeing and hearing how excited ya'll were for the upcoming star trek 2009. It was like going back in time yall are very entertianing keep up the great work!

AwesomeMrWOk Star Trek ShowThis is a pretty good Star Trek podcast, with good content and rationale commentary. The problems come in the way the commentary is presented, with host David Ivy constantly talking over his cohost and interrupting with his own commentary. Ivy also comes off as a bit of a know-it-all. That said, I think Ivy is a good host, he just needs to practice a little more self restraint and calm down just a bit. Other than that, it is a great show; I’ll keep listening.

Flabber11Kind of Sexist?I recently reengaged with my love of all things trek. I have really enjoyed listening to series such as the X-Files Files which discuss episodes of older shows- talking about the decision making, and character development and even philosophical elements of a show. This show has been pretty disappointing! Mostly because the hosts make snide comments about female characters, and the actors who play them without ever explaining what their problems with said characters are. The attitude seems to be that we should all be on board with hating Dr Crusher, or thinking that Troi has a dumb accent. This would be one thing if they explained their theories and it seemed to be solid, but its just a collection of little disdainful insults and comments and name calling. In addition they were discussing how they wanted to see both actresses who play Dax on DS9 to wrestle in oil at a convention and be penetrated by a trill symbiote. Ugh, not what I am looking for in a podcast. Sci Fi has suffered from a lack of female fans for a long time, and its cause of guys like this.

Prince nuadaWhere?I just found this podcast not too long ago and it seems really good but to bad it seems to be suffering from Pod fade.
-
sporkman1Where ARE the shows?!I felt this was the best Trek podcast... When they actually had them. This last year the schedule went from weekly to as long as 3 months between shows. Its gotten so random.
-
Cmdr KolothLove it!Just discovered this podcast about a month ago. Totally addicted to it now. You guys make me proud of my inner Nerd.
-
EEMIVInformative but obnoxiousI listened to about 20 episodes from various points in the series, and I found the regular hosts (and guests) incredibly informative, with neat behind-the-scenes knowledge. However, the main host too often for my taste makes obnoxious, borderline-sexist comments; the entertainment & information value isn’t worth the cringe factor.
-
Cast1701Best...Trek Podcast...EverThis is one of my all-time favorite Star Trek podcasts! It includes everything you've ever wanted to know about Star Trek and then some! Dave and Darren have FAN-tastic chemistry and are funny with just the right about of humor and information. I love it and wish I had started listening sooner! Keep it up you guys!
-
J.DarrenBest Star Trek Show!!By far the best Star Trek show ever! I listen to the show as often as I can and I gotta say that it is very entertaining. Not only do they know their stuff and more but it's just such a great show. I always come out of an episode learning something new about Trek and actually wanting to watch the show more often! Keep it up guys and don't stop the show!
-
Eric ExtremeGreat showI found the podcast in March 2014 and listen to the podcasts anytime I get a chance… In the car… at work… at home… and I put it on my cell phone under my pillow while I fall asleep. I wish they had a new episode every week!

MickeydentAwesome ShowAwesome show. I have listened to quite a few Trek Podcast but this is the only one that honestly feels like your just hanging out with friends and talking about Star Trek. The show doesn't talk itself too seiously and even when the hosts bring up what they DON'T like about Star Trek, they are still respectful of both the franchise and the fans that may disagree. Definitely worth a download!!
-
ikhutchiAbsolutely AwesomeThis show is like hanging out with your closest nerd friends, and chatting about the show we love. It's extremely entertaining, and serves as a celebration of Roddenberry's vision. I'm a fan!
-
The Gorn IdentityBest Star Trek Podcast! This is--without a doubt--THE most entertaining Star Trek podcast of them all. Co-hosts Ivy and Benjamin and hilarious, knowledgeable, and have great chemistry.
-
Patfrat! My favorite Trek podcastLook forward to it every...ehhhr... when it comes up. David & crew are insightful, fun, knowledgeable and always a good time. For Trekfans, this is a good listen, always. Best of the best. Q'alpla!

CPinMolallaThese guys rule! There's nothing more fun lately than enjoying the discussion these guys have on my long drives home from work. They know a lot and they delve into some great subjects that are often untouched by others when discussing Star Trek. However, sometimes I find myself yelling at myself when they can't name a character or a scene or when they make a mistake. Call me a nerd, if you will. Thanks for keeping me entertained, guys!
-
Director A-HammTrek awesomeness!!Great being able to listen to real fans talk about Star Trek and even a few other franchises! Id recommend this podcast for any true Trekkie!!
-
Danafox24Really enjoying this podcast!I am really enjoying this podcast and find myself listening ALL THE TIME, especially in the car. While I am simultaneously excited about how many episodes I have to catch up on, I am a little worried that once that happens the sporadic updates in 2013 and beyond won't be enough to feed my Trek obsession.
