    A Welcomed Podcast
Man, I really appreciate this podcast. Like many, I became aware of the Lentz family through a documentary but I remember praying that in the end, they made it work. Then I became aware of this podcast and have listened since. In brief, I come from a broken home. 8 stepdads, drugs/alcoholics rampant in my family, abuse in various manners I saw from an early age, several close people I lost to suicide, ran with gang bangers, etc. Then was saved at 17 and followed the straight and narrow (or have tried) since then. First gen student that ended up getting his PhD in Nutrition but only made it this far because of wisdom shared to me by others, like through this podcast. My wife and I have now been together 15 years and I’ve learned so much about how to navigate topics/discussions or obstacles through this podcast. Before, much of my behavior was only what I had observed though my parents broken marriages (not good to say the least). Glad to have a podcast like this that can turn the light on for me and be a guiding light. Excellent stuff

    Soooooo good
I have followed Carl through his journey of life. I appreciate his humility and ability to bring light to his dark places that all of us truly face in our own way. That’s a true leader. Honesty. Listening. Trying to serve others. His episode with Jay Williams is special. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do. Thank you Carl for being REAL

    The real deal
Admittedly, I wasn’t really a fan of Carl before this podcast, and I came to it with some healthy skepticism. Over and over again since, Carl and Laura have blown me away with their vulnerability and willingness to bring the *real*. Each and every episode challenges me and inspires me to engage deeper into journey towards who God is constantly calling out of me. I cannot recommend this podcast more highly, come here for a big dose of inspiration and encouragement as we all work through our stuff together.

    FIX AUDIO
Will update to 5 when Audio is fixed. Most your guests are so low and then Carl and commercials are so loud y’all blow my ear drums absolutely no excuse fix it. Y’all make money off this!! Gross. Don’t accept a garbage product from someone who you know probably produces high quality content. I love Carl and never left his side. I’m Josh and I’m showing tough love. I’ve met him many times. This will probably make him made at least old Carl would but just maybe you will see it and realize I’m pushing you for better my friend we appreciate and love you so much

    Where do I Begin?
This podcast has been nothing short of life-changing for me. Although my husband and I haven’t walked through the pain of infidelity, the wisdom shared in these episodes has PROFOUNDLY impacted my life. Carl once said, “You don’t have to wait for a fire to fireproof your home,” and WOW—has that resonated with me! As a mother, I’m learning invaluable tools about parenting, addiction, relationships, intimacy and faith. Carl and Laura, your vulnerability, honesty, and wisdom are truly changing lives. Your Q&A’s have helped me through so many struggles and questions I’ve had in my life. Because of this podcast, my relationship with Jesus has deepened in ways I never expected. THANK YOU doesn’t even begin to express my gratitude! And P.S- Carl, stop editing your videos and changing the conversation when people compliment you. You deserve the verbal accolades! One last thing and I promise I’ll be done- can you please turn up the mics a just a little more please?

This podcast is changing my life!
I was very skeptical of Carl Lentz at first, but hesitantly listened on a friend’s recommendation. I was blown away by the authenticity, vulnerability and rawness. You can see and feel the evidence of a changed and changing man. Every episode brings me closer to God and more bravery to work on myself.

    Guiding light
As someone that is going through the exact same situation right now, this has been a beacon of hope for us. The Lentz family’s open and honest conversation is a true example of what faith and hard work can over come. Finding this podcast while at my darkest moment is a blessing and will be forever grateful for their courage to come public. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

    I’m devouring this podcast!
I love the vulnerability and honesty of this podcast, and I love your commitment to heal your hearts openly in the public eye to show it is possible. I learn so much from listening so keep the “lights on” for all of us who are on our own healing journeys. This is the best and most significant work you have ever done.

    God’s not done!
Through this podcast I have connected with Carl and the Lentz family’s vulnerability and authenticity that creates such a refreshing space, especially in a world that often emphasizes perfection. It’s powerful when people share real stories—complete with struggles, failures, and growth—because it reminds us that we’re all human and on a journey. The podcast is making a positive impact, offering not just hope but practical wisdom to navigate life’s ups and downs. The message that failure and betrayal doesn’t define us, and that God’s work in our lives isn’t finished, is incredibly powerful. He chose us while we were still sinners! Keep going and keep growing Lentz family!!!! You are helping others to have courage, to be real, get help, find healing, and choose to live with the LIGHTS ON!!!!

    So Helpful!!
Carl and Laura open up a much needed conversation to the world as well as the Christian culture. I have shared this with so many and am so grateful for the practical application! Sometimes church people teachings feel so ambiguous, but not this! It’s to the point, and it’s the truth! Thanks Lentz family for all that you have shared and taught the rest of us!! You are saving marriages and families through your testimony!!!!

    Holy Ground!
This podcast has rocked me! The real, raw, messy, intimate details of their lives they willingly share to help others, is incredibly selfless & humble. I have SO much respect for Carl, Laura and their beautiful, wise, strong children.

    Beautiful redemption story!
Love this podcast. I remember Carl speaking at our church years ago and have been moved by his transformational story and God’s redeeming love and how only God can forgive, restore and put back beyond what we ever can think or imagine. My husband and I are also living proof of what man meant for evil, but. God. He turns it around for our good but his glory. Carl and Laura ‘s story is beautiful, and impactful and brings hope, encouragement, and forgiveness for broken marriages. Broken people is who God uses best. My husband and I are living proof of that. I praise God and Jesus for the second and third chances. :) Romans 8:28

    Beautiful, powerful, refreshing!
Carl and Laura bring power, insight, truth, and hope in this amazing podcast. They don’t shy away from the pain, the hurt, the science, and the why. I hope more churches and leaders take their approach to redemption and reconciliation. Must listen.

    God’s Redemption is Beautiful
Sincerely been enjoying this show. I love the vulnerability of the Lentz family and their redemption story through God. I love guests who are seeking the gospel truth and would recommend this show stick to pastors and licensed counselors. The episode with Charlemagne, while interesting, as a Christian I thought was incredibly damaging to the trajectory of the show. This man is clearly searching outside of God (ie iowaska) and to bring him on in the manner as a position of authority will send all kinds of mixed messages to those who are not well versed in the word. PLEASE consider your guests more carefully. Otherwise, loving the podcast!

    Love it, but….
I absolutely love this podcast and truly appreciate it. It’s been so healing in so many ways. The only thing that is a bit frustrating is Carl needs to be more mindful when it comes to Laura speaking. He often acknowledges that we want to hear more from her but then we still mostly hear from him and often cutting her off when she is speaking. Other than that super appreciative for this podcast.

    Wow
God uses everything. He is so evident in the lives of Carl and Laura. This podcast makes you feel like you are in the car talking to carl and laura on the phone or sitting across from them in a living room. Thankful for their yes to this podcast. Carl and Laura- your yes set me free from harboring unforgiveness. On your team from Arizona.

    Grace of Display
Every week I am blown away by two things I feel this podcast does well : sharing and demonstrating the incredible power of the grace of God and how radical ownership is a sign of a mature believer. I have been so blessed by the vulnerability and honesty of this podcast. I am seeing grace on display and I think maybe for the first time in my life I finally understand what it looks like. I love how it’s raw, real and sometimes even hard conversations - yet it’s filled with so much hope!

    This pod is free therapy
What a beautiful story of restoration. It’s authentic, it’s real, it’s UNAPOLOGETIC. It’s so needed right now in this cultural moment. It’s God-honoring. And most importantly, it’s helping people. This is personal. This is real. You ARE helping people. So keep going, and forget those who are hating. They don’t get it, and this isn’t for them.

Willing hearts change, and will help others!
This podcast and the vulnerability to share y’all’s story is helping me, and I know countless others. Brings tears to my eyes as I empathize with the journey and growing up in church community that doesn’t address these topics well, if at all. The idea that we are a whole being- God created us with physical, spiritual, emotional, social needs and all have to be addressed not just the spiritual. Beauty from ashes is the story here and the gift of others who can help, a willingness not to give up and God being there through it all. Thank you Laura, Carl, and kids for your bravery, humility and willingness to use your story to help others.

    Stunning
It’s stunning that a Christian could put out such ground breaking information and how Christians can use it to literally transform their lives. This is my top favorite podcast and every week I countdown the days when I can listen to it. The podcast about healing the brain was incredible and life-changing. Thank you so much for inviting this doctor and sharing a biblical worldview of psychiatry. 🔥🔥🔥

    Recover LOUD! 🫶🏼
This podcast should be a required class before anyone works in a church or works in recovery. Working in the church and the way we dealt with people’s real life shortcomings, left me with unresolved relational trauma that I didn’t know how to navigate which manifested itself later into my own personal addiction. This Podcast is covering every part of a healing journey. Personal, Spiritual, Relational, and Mental health recovery. I’m so blessed by Carl and Laura’s story of resilience! Incredible podcast! Incredible family!

    INCREDIBLE. ❤️‍🩹
This podcast is a breath of fresh air for Christ followers who have walked through infidelity. This show is full of hope and healing to hearts who have been shattered by betrayal trauma. This was a firehouse of years of therapy in each session. Highly recommend!!!

So glad the lights are on; now turn up the volume!
I’m very interested in Carl and Laura’s story, and admire their commitment to each other, their family, and their faith. One request: Please boost the audio on the podcast. It’s super hard to hear in any space that isn’t super quiet.

As a pastor’s kid, this means the world.
So beautiful to see how God can bring true restoration to an entire family when people chose to stop hiding. As a pastor’s kid, this gives me so much hope.

A powerful example of a redemption journey
Anyone who has made massive mistakes and sinned greatly will be convicted and encouraged by this podcast. Laura shows tremendous bravery, of course, but so does Carl. He still has a touch of “celebrity pastor” in his style of delivery, and it took me a while to get used to it without feeling cynical. But that’s my fault as a listener, not his fault as a speaker. I was a pastor’s kid and also worked in ministry for a long time, and I grew weary of the circus shows at many churches. So, like many, I made assumptions. I felt deeply convicted listening to him describe the rawness of their season together, and convicted by listening to Laura fight to articulate her pain. Most importantly, her choice to not condemn him is a remarkable glimpse into the heart of Jesus, and the way forward for helping men overcome these battles. Shame and condemnation will never work, and Carl and Laura seem to be living proof of what does work: mercy and grace—especially when it’s undeserved. It made me deeply contemplate my own sin and those I have hurt. Very refreshing to hear and see the fruit of God’s grace. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

    Trauma porn
Too many people are tuning into this without being more aware of the attempt to capitalize and profit off Trauma and this podcasts early success is a perfect example of how shallow human beings are in their desperation to know the “tea”

    Top tier
Amazing content! So helpful to many relatable areas of my life! Thank you! Roman helped shed light on how to navigate conversations with my 14 year old son and the ways I can show up for him daily! Truly have enjoyed each episode & get so much hope out of each one! Looking forward to the next!

    Appreciate the Openness
The vulnerability shown in the first few episodes is rare to find in culture. I appreciate the honesty and willingness to be laid bare to anyone who will listen. Episode 3 with the children feels a little forced and awkward, but I would recommend the first 2 episodes to anyone needing to hear stories of hope for their marriage. The audio quality is also really poor which keeps this from being a 5 star.

Terrible Audio Quality - a mess
I truly have enjoyed the content of this podcast and am interested in the entire process they’ve all been going through, but the audio is a huge mess and it makes it almost impossible to listen for me. The first couple episodes are like 25-50% quieter than every other show I listen to, so I’m cranked just to hear it, but they both keep wandering away from their mics and it’s super annoying and just makes it so hard to hear at times or the dynamics are just way too drastic. The third episode, with their kids, may as well not have happened cuz half of the time no one is talking into the mic at all. They’re clearly using good equipment, they just don’t know how to use it properly and it is a giant distraction from what is otherwise pretty intriguing and quality content. I was hoping it was just the quirks of a new podcast getting started, but it got way worse, not better and they need to get it figured out. As Joe Rogan has reminded a billion of his guests - “get about a fist away from the mic and talk directly into it”.
  • tiffymama222
    Appreciative
I just listened to the first one and you avoided telling full answers to some of Laura’s questions. Your answers focus largely on the grace and victory now. But it would be helpful for you to point blank answer the questions and explain what you were thinking at the time and what sins you were hiding or like she asked - how you could preach and be lying at the same time. It seems it’s too painful for you to go there fully but I appreciate all you’re doing in trying to be honest and communicate. Not easy.
  • luvbluesand
I have the upmost respect for your family.
I appreciate your transparency and honesty in this situation. Thank you for sharing that with us, we have all been through situations that have been uncomfortable. It’s better handled when the family sticks together. Had you not gone through this, you wouldn’t know who those real genuine friends are. The ones who stuck around and support your children, your family without judgement. That is Gods love! Stay blessed!
