Terrific guests. Host is a hack who can’t seem to get out of the way. Also, his take on middle eastern geopolitics made me dumber for having suffered through it.

The show might be decent; but the ads are out of control. Not worth your time.

We listen to an interview to hear the person being interviewed. Too many times Johnny talks over his guests and that’s just poor interviewing. Its also really awkward when guests tell Johnny how wrong his assumptions are. Let the guests do the speaking and you’ll come off as smarter.

The host is comically stupid but the guests are interesting.

good show but way too many ads and this show doesn’t do it like others where they do it after somebody’s done talking. they cut right in the middle of a sentence so by the time the ads over u forget what they were talking about

Love this pod. But I think “el Primo” Donald Wayne Tomkins is spelled wrong. On google, most returns I see are spelled THOMPKINS

The editing of the swearing has made this podcast unlistenable!

Great podcast better than most ,tv shows books , the news , and most podcast . It’s a rollercoaster ride on many of these podcast . Interesting people, wild story’s and I know because I listen to several several podcast . Great questions by the way I’m not a criminal at all and some of these people’s life changing stories helped me . Overall I haven’t stopped listening everyday and looking forward to the old podcast I haven’t heard and new stuff .

The sharp interview is edited to the point that it's unlistenable. You can talk about savage violence and packing drugs in your A.. but we draw the line at pimp?!?!

Decent pod with a good premise. Johnny does well on the interview, but sometimes he’s more argumentative than necessary. I mean, sometimes it’s like he’s vetting them during the interview, and I was tuning in to hear a story from a verified, finished product. Not bad, could be better.

Enjoyed the crime podcasts and tolerated the occasional partisan rant. His bias has been coming out more and more he shifted to straight up conspiracy theory. Too bad because the guy is entertaining. I’m out.

Show was entertaining at first when it was about the drug trade, but has veered into joe rogan-lite with uninformed commentary on politics.

My favorite, crime podcast. Great story telling, great guest and great video, if listening to it on yt.

I like the podcast content but every few minutes it’s another commercial or two. I don’t know if it’s greed or just poor numbers but it makes me reconsider downloading

At first his podcasts were really good and entertaining but now he is rude to his guests, tries to twist the story of the guests and acts like he’s still a thug like he’s still in the life. I recommend the older episodes but the new ones aren’t good.

Not only is this guy hilarious, he gets great content and interviews incredibly interesting criminals and always breaks down the numbers. So sick!

Can talk about drugs and murder but censor out cuss words grow up

Love the questions you ask. You don’t assume the viewer knows every intricacy of the Crimes these guys commit. I’m new to the pod,4 episodes in, but have seen Tons of clips on YT. The Freeway interview has been my favorite so far. But all have been really good! Keep up the great work!

This is from 1/14/2024 interview where this guy is ill prepared to interview Freeway Rick Ross. I’m surprised Rick didn’t just walk away. Time after time this interviewer got dates wrong names wrong quantities wrong I mean Jesus Christ guy just quit this abortion of a podcast already. You’re a horrible interviewer.

All interesting and you want to listen but the host butts in quite a bit so if that annoys you I’d pass

He is killing it with some very awesome guests recently. This quickly becoming one of my top podcasts. Keep up the great work.

Man, I’ve listened to every single episode. I can usually relate pretty well, having been through some things myself and just finished my bid a year ago. That being said, you should stick to your usual subject matter. That last guest, the alien conspiracy theory guy, just didn’t really fit. Overall though, your show is fantastic and I always anticipate your next episode! Keep up the good work!

GREAT SHOW JOHNNY IS FANTASTIC

The content of this podcast is fascinating. However, the host constantly talks over his guests, finishes their sentences for them, or interrupts the flow of listening by saying “right, right” loudly. Listening to this last episode was impossible, he was interviewing a surfer about drug trafficking and the guest could hardly get a word in. Practice better hosting/listening skills, or take a class on how to do it!

First off, I really appreciate The Connect pod, your inquisitive nature, mixed with your intellect and your past lends to great interviews. Thank you for get Bravo’s experience and opinions from the other side of the line, I’m on that side and I can absolutely attest to his firsthand institutional knowledge. Real facts, I’m gonna share this episode with probably 100 C/O’s later, cause ours is a muted voice. The civilian population doesn’t really understand the grind

I can’t get over how distracting the loud background music is to the conversation. I had to unsubscribe.

Had to check out this podcast after listening to Johnny on YMH and haven’t been able to stop binge listening to this show since. Definitely the best podcast I’ve listened to in a while. Keep ‘em coming!

Johnny is lagit . I live in P -Town and was out law about 6-8 years earlier then him. I did about 48 months around that era. His Podcasts is word. It’s exactly how it is!
