Discovered the show because I was looking for someone recapping Industry. I enjoy their takes, but the level of side chatter is frustrating. Like get to the point! Sometimes I leave episodes unfinished, because it’s unbearable.

These people are so dumb. Can barely pronounce words when they’re reading emails and generally have no sophisticated analysis. How did they even get a podcast.

I am on a huge White Lotus kick right now and I’ve been looking for deep dive podcasts. Most of them say the same things, but Brandon & Chanel have interesting & insightful takes… AND they keep me laughing. Y’all have moved to the top of my list! Thanks for all you do.

Hands-down the most hilarious and salient takes of prestige TV. The coverage of Severance in particular has been from a lens different than most other pods covering it. I truly enjoy hearing the hosts break down eps, especially when they add sociopolitical commentary. Thanks for a great podcast!

Possibly the only emotionally intelligent podcast talking about Severance?? I love the two, their banter is great and their analysis on some of my favorite shows is not only entertaining, but also thoughtful, compassionate, and grounded. A must listen if you love TV and also delving into the psychology behind some of our favorite crazy character’s bad behavior.

I came across this pod during the last season on Industry and it has become one of my essential pods for tv shows. I find the conversations easy going natural and as it comes later in the week Brandon and Chanel always land on new information and PoV’s that haven’t been discussed before. The live chat is always fun. Be warned-Chanel’s music choices are hella sus but nobody’s perfect.

Chanel is it possible you get a more professional sounding microphone ( like Brandon has)? Congrats on your growth… maybe level up with better equipment!! Keep up the good work!

I started listening to Brandon & Chanel during Silo season 2. Their recaps immediately hooked me. I'm glad I found them before the new season of Severance began. It's become a part of my my overall viewing and listening experience.

Loving the deep, insightful conversations you bring to Severance. I’ve been a fan since your “Industry” podcast. Though I checked in and out through Silo and the Penguin discourse; I did enjoy your recaps. It’s refreshing to hear discussions that highlight Severance themes of labor, identity, and power through a lens that’s often overlooked. Last week’s discussion about the facial expressions between two black characters was timely; as Chanel said for Black History Month and current DEI removal campaigns. Your analysis adds layers of meaning that make me appreciate the show even more. Keep doing what you’re doing—this is the kind of podcast I love to listen to. 💕

I started listening to Brandon and Chanel for the second season of Silo, and now I’m following along for their Severance recaps. Brandon and Chanel have really insightful takes on what’s happening in the show and are both very knowledgeable about storytelling, culture, history etc. But what I love most is their banter and humor. It really feels like I’m listening to two very smart friends.

I really enjoyed your Silo review and think you two have good chemistry for the podcast. I do wish you would keep politics out of the podcast because it just shows your ignorance. It’s your right to not like a particular president but when you bring up reason for you not liking them that are just untrue and don’t make sense you seem ignorant. You are mad that Trump pardoned Kodak Black meanwhile Biden pardoned 8064 people, the most of any president in history. Also do some research on the crimes committed by some of those people, crimes against women, Chinese spies and some crimes I just can’t mention. There’s so much more I can say to point out your ignorant political stance but it’s just too much. I’m looking forward to see your Severance coverage but I just hope there are no politics involved. Entertaining but the audio is bad. We can’t hear his voice. Her voice is very clear.

I enjoy the fresh pov the hosts bring to the table: There are already plenty of middle age white men talking about Industry. And while I enjoy every different pov, this feels relatable and intelligent while not unnecessarily over-intellectualized. Bravo!

Finally !!! I would podcast with some black folks that is talking about industry. Brandon and Chanel both do a great job recapping the show. I don’t have anyone in my circle who watches the show so this podcast is a my source of community with industry. . Honestly y’all have the best commentary on industry I found so far. Excellent recap show! I think I’ll actually go back to get their opinions on other shows. His mic is awful though. Hoping he can fix that sound. I was shocked when he said it was fixed because it is not. She’s loud and clear - he’s a little low and muffled at times. Beyond that, insightful opinions. I’m a fan.

No one in my circle is watching industry (shame!) so I’m very glad I stumbled upon these recaps/discussions. I appreciate how the host’s takes are insightful and nuanced with out being grandiose. Chanel and Brandon bring a fresh perspective. Be sure to check out their Succession coverage too! So many podcast voices are white and male. It is revealing to hear both the differences and overlap of takes that Chanel and Brandon have versus the relatively homogeneous coverage elsewhere. I really appreciate the insight from a new perspective.

I gave this podcast a try but a few minutes in it was revealed that a podcaster hadn’t even watched all the seasons. She literally had no idea what she was talking about. I won’t waste my time.

This show is fun! Thoughtful hosts, great flow to the conversations, fun tangents, can’t ask for more. Five stars.

from an episodic breakdown. Throughly in depth with opinions, but more importantly, differing opinions. Too many podcasts are just their hosts masturbating their own opinions, which is usually the same opinion. The fact y’all agree to disagree half the time is worthy of 3 stars alone. Add 1 for the numerous clips. And 1 for the hilariously curated but also insightful conversations. Literally could not imagine giving this one star. Only wieners and losers don’t like you.
