Okay content, but one host is impossible to listen to
The discussion is not bad, but listening to Nicole Briscoe say “like” every fifth word is just unbearable. Your job is to present an audio program; clean up your speech pattern or find other work. On this week’s episode, she is averaging a “like” every second and even managed a “like, like, like” at one point. Surely somebody can tell her she needs to fix that.

    Disappointed
If you want an F1 podcast where they basically run through each driver every week and nothing breaking…this is the choice. It’s like a generic repeat of the standard F1 stories. Beyond disappointed.

    Enjoying it
Everyone on this pod has always been great

    No to new host
Sorry, Nicole. Not feeling your takes or hosting abilities. 😊

    Honest Feedback
Love the F1 insight from Laurence, Nate, and team! However, I echo other reviewers’ votes for adjusting the audio. The volume differential between the commentators vs. commercials is painfully too loud and the sudden cut to commercials magnifies the problem.

    Meh
Katie interrupts too much.. and it’s annoying to hear people talking over each other.

    Downhill fast
The ads were bad but have only gotten worse. Absolutely no cut into or out of ads, they just appear mid sentence. I used to enjoy this pod but it’s become untenable.

    Holy Ads
Was a good podcast but new host and ads are gonna have me going elsewhere this year

    Audio quality poor!!!
Do you guys not talk into your microphones? You’d think ESPN would know how microphone technology works. I’ve listened to every single episode from the very first one and gave you some grace cause I figured that you’d get your audio problems fixed but I have way too many other podcasts to listen to instead of wasting my time with a podcast with ridiculously poor audio quality. A podcast that you can’t hear is worthless. Unsubscribed.

    Be consistent
Love the content and the flow of the show. As others have said the audio needs help, commercials are WAY too loud and even Katie’s mic seems louder than Nate and Lawrence’s. My main gripe though is the inconsistency of when episodes come out when the races come to the states. Especially for LV. I woke up this morning with the episode name revealing who qualified for pole. Please don’t do this! I’m only looking for a podcast during the week when I’m driving to and from work. I don’t listen to episodes during the weekend.

    Crazy audio issues
Level out your audio. I get my ears blown off whenever a commercial comes in, it’s super annoying.

    Poor production
Too much cutting out. Need better quality audio

Good F1 breakdowns, but, c’mon, fix the levels!
I can’t understand how an ESPN-sponsored podcast would have such awful levels. I almost blow out my eardrums every time they go to a commercial. Other than the poor audio quality, good guests and analysis.

    Unprepared, or Unlapped?
Katie please do some prep prior to recording. Your employer is paying Fox a lot to broadcast F1 races. On 7/10/24 how could the host of a F1 pod NOT KNOW the title of Brad Pitt Formula One movie? Embarrassing. The bloke is very good and knowledgeable about this sport. Pulling for you Katie. Simply spend an hour prior to recording reading Sky Sports, BBC, and F1 Planet news sites.

    Podcast training
I would rate this higher if Nate and Laurence successfully completed training in how to end a sentence, and not talk in complete circles. I prefer podcasts that are more of a conversation and you don’t get that here because the guys can’t stop talking.

    Another media with British bias!
I though this being a podcast from an American media we won’t hear the usual British rants and them being biased about British drivers! But no, not only they are the same but also they don’t have their own opinion and instead they quote Andrea Stella when they want to comment on Max vs. Lando crash! Well done guys!

    Love this breakdown!
    Great listen, highly recommended

Good podcast, needs to fix volume issues
Good F1 discussion, enjoy the podcast itself. Would have rated 4-5 stars but pre-recorded ad reads are significantly louder than the podcast. If wearing headphones/airpods volume will suddenly spike without warning for ads.

Good Podcast for an American F1 Fan
They do a good job keeping it fun but informative. Enjoy listening to their opinions and thoughts on f1

Really enjoy this podcast. One of my favorites to listen before and after each F1 race

    KG or don’t record
Either have KG (or anyone more professional) as the moderator/host or don’t publish a podcast. Couldn’t finish it with Tyler cutting off and interjecting all the analysis.

    Meh
All things said and done, it’s a wildly mediocre show, mainly due to the Nate dude being so unimaginably insufferable. Katie is solid and so is the other gentleman, but Nate talks way too much. If he was articulate, knowledgable, and didn’t talk in incessant circles, it may be somewhat palatable. Unfortunately that is not the case. I’d stay away and find another F1 show.

It is about time an F1 voice can be heard in the United States . Thank you for giving us an opportunity to learn more about open-wheel racing.

    Comically Biased
Do you like Red Bull? You’ll love this podcast. Would you like a comprehensive breakdown of the races? Look elsewhere.

    Great Podcast But…
Love Nate and Lawerance but the Host is Terrible she can’t even pronounce some of the F1 Lingo right. Typical ESPN just throw anyone to host something they clearly have no idea about.

    Informative and Entertaining
Just learned of this pod yesterday. Listened to the Bahrain preview this morning and heard enough to put “Unlapped” into my permanent rotation. Knew of Katie George’s work from her football sideline duty, but had no idea of her role in F1. She is as terrific in her host role as she is on the sidelines. And it never hurts to have people with British accents adding to the analysis. Lot of F1 podcasts out there but “Unlapped” and the BBC’s “Checkered Flag” are the only two that I really like. Well done to all involved and keep up the good work.
  • flangeslammer
for a rights holder pod, this is fantastic.
just compare it against the sky F1 pod. these three are so much better than that

    Another British F1 podcast
Lawrence and Nate are not short on British bias. “Most people I know believe that Max is a jerk’ Lawrence says but he’s not bad in interviews. Also Lawrence states that Max fought Lewis too aggressively last season while omitting that Lewis put Max into the wall as he missed the apex at 190 mph. We don’t need anymore British Bias in an F1 podcast. Pigs don’t know pigs stink. Nate the self described Bloated Biased leader of the British Media. Katie and ESPN get rid of these fools
  • SportsMan926
    Three Merc Fans
Conversation is polished and informative especially for newer fans which is what I’d expect from ESPN. One problem is that all three are obvious Mercedes fans and sort of biased towards that team. So would definitely be better with some diversity of fandom but overall not a bad listen
