Section_Leader_DizzyDon't Sit on the HandleA fun and exciting wild and crazy flight whether it be military or bush pilots. From how did you get that callsign to did you ever touch the handle. The stories are really what is happening out there and not a Hollywood story. RePete and Fig are helping to preserve history with these podcasts by talking to the vanishing breed of WWII, Korean War and Vietnam pilots as well as the pilots of the latest conflicts. Always an excellent podcast, even if the hosts are two crayon eating, window licking Marine Corps Harrier pilots. Dizzy

AV8HeedExcellent PodcastY’all have done a fantastic job with this podcast. I laughed, I cried. It was better than Cats. Seriously though, great job documenting these tales from all across aviation. You both make great hosts and the shows are enjoyable. Definitely one of my favorite podcasts. Semper Fi, Heed

Dan_TeresaThey have it allI love this show; it’s entertaining, inspiring and informative all to the same time. I do not have a background in aviation or military service but I love the show. The stories will have you laughing your head off one minute and crying the next. These guys are documenting so many priceless pieces of history that normally go unrecorded. Stories that form the backbone of our freedoms. Without the experiences of the show’s hosts and guests we would not be the nation that we are today. I love the format of the show as I am often in my truck for a hour long commute and it is nice to have a show that covers the trip. As a person without a military aviation background it is great that they translate the jargon so I can understand what they are talking about. I work in healthcare and it is wonderful that these stories can still inspire me in my daily life. Keep up the good work gentlemen.

phDeanMiss my Navy flying days! The camaraderie, the fun, the excitement and occasional stress, you bring it all back with your guests and their stories. As an ex-P3 pilot, I love hearing the stories of the other communities out there. The one hour plus podcasts seem like 15 minutes… Keep it up. Dean “Chick” Correa

CarlExcellent!I’m closing out a 30 year career in Active Duty and Reserve Air Force. While not a flyer, I have many friends who fly/flew and the stories remind me of them and make my gut hurt from laughing so hard. I wanted the thank you for your military service and the service you provide now. Best regards. Carl

Julius (Cesar)So There I Was PodcastYou guys get better and better with each episode, both technically and entertainment value. Thank you for doing this.

Bozworth_groupOutstanding curators of aviation history!RePete and Fig and their outstanding guests present their past experiences in an exceedingly compelling ways for all of the listeners. Their stories of past adventures will have you laughing, on the edge of your seat (hopefully not the ejection handle), share sorrow of many who paid the ultimate sacrifice. I highly recommend following them on Rumble to watch the video broadcast and see the added nuances and get so much more out of it. Thank you all for your service. Episode #54 Major Brian “Punchy” Shul Ret. hit home to many of us. It was his last interview and less than two weeks later he passed away. Ladies and Gentlemen, many of those interviewed have said they just wanted their stories documented. This podcast is one for me that makes me proud to listen to for everyone’s heroic careers. RePete and Fig, thank you for all you do to bring these historic interviews. Not to mention your own careers you are both ever so humble about. Stay safe and check Six

Angry HobitThanks for the laughs, education, and camaraderie! As a retired Army Aviator I look forward to each and every episode. I always know I will get a hilarious, genuine and unvarnished look into the world of some of aviation greats! I spend a lot of time on the road commuting to and from work. Your podcasts take up a good portion of those drives. Without fail they keep me going on a long drive home after flying a Transcon. It’s great comic relief after a long day of work. Like all of us who served I miss the people the most. I miss that bond everyday. Hearing y’all’s podcast makes me laugh a lot (I mean, A LOT!) and I remember all of the good times, banter and shenanigans we pulled on each other. If someone wants to know what it’s like to be in a front line, tactical military aviation unit, all they have to do is listen to you guys go back-and-forth with each other and your guests. I almost feel like I’m in my 20s again listening to you guys and laughing. All of my life I’ve been enthralled with military history, and I have never stopped reading, studying, and learning. Listening to you guys interview some of the great legends in aviation feeds this addiction. Hearing it right from the sources like General Spicer is a tremendous gift. I just downloaded his first book and *I am hooked*. I’m sure I will be finishing all five of his books. Please keep doing what you’re doing. The average American needs to know what her sons and daughters did and continue to do for them in the service of their nation. Bravo Zulu Jarheads! CountryBoy1974Outstanding!Excellent podcast which keeps getting better with each episode. The history, stories, and guests are both informative and entertaining. Repete and Fig, as military and commercial aviators themselves, take a conversational approach in their interviews with guests, intermixing humor and seriousness where appropriate. Their commitment to honoring each guest and provide understanding to listeners is clear.

FE Sweatya$$It’s like being on a trip!Hands down the best part of trips is the knowledge exchanged amongst aviators and one could argue the best forum is pre-dinner side bars. Whether you’re a pair of dart drivers or part of a dirty crew aircraft, everyone appreciates the stories shared as much as those lived together. Fig, Repeat, and the STIW crew are like A/C’s through each show, they ensure nobody gets behind the aircraft. Thus, making this show easy for anyone to follow and providing humorous insight to lessons in and out of aviation. Thanks for what you guys are doing; stay classy, check six, and happy fruit bowls!
-
RicM20JFantastic!Best and most entertaining aviation related podcast available by far. A real opportunity to sit in on “hangar talk” with the legends in military aviation. Great job guys!
-
ADigitalParadoxYou won’t find a better chemistry than that of Fig and RePete. My only complaint is they’re unable to make more content more often with their busy schedules. This show is responsible for quite a few moments where I had to pull over to avoid wrecking while laughing, these guys not only mesh well but they’re guests just become part of the show each and every time. Incredible fun and enjoyment lay within gathers episodes and I get a spark of excitement whenever I see they’ve posted a new episode. Blue side up my friends, I appreciate and respect you both for not just your service but your contribution to other aviators with this amazing podcast. Much Love and God Bless.
-

-
Res784Less interruptionsGuests are entertaining and have great stories to tell, so long as Repete and Fig aren’t constantly interrupting the guest’s stories, talking over one another, or interrupting with tangents and peanut gallery comments
-

Buffs231You’ll get addicted! These shows transport the listener to places & times that bring back memories for some, and open a world to others. RePete & Fig are the Stephen Ambrose of military aviation recording the great stories that need to be passed on to the next generation. These two great aviators are serving the aviation world with this creation of theirs as well as they served our country as Marine Harrier Attack Pilots. Outstanding! Thanks guys for what you do and keep up the great work! Semper Fi

Coach GrampsSo There They WereThis is my go-to podcast for my daily exercise routine. Fig and Repete are fantastic cohorts. I’m not a pilot but love aviation and hearing all these stories puts me in the cockpit when I close my eyes. Love listening to Lawman. He sounds like Robert Duvall and I think about The Great Santini. All these stories - tragic and humorous - are well worth listening to. I have an acquaintance who was an F-4 and F-18 marine aviator and retired as a Fedex 777 captain. Boy, do I have some questions for him now! Keep it up guys. Check Six !
-
Robert WallingBest podcast out there!Outstanding Fig/Repete, keep the content coming! -Maj Robby “Stone” Walling

Sapper48Ah YesIwakuni Japan…. My first duty station. Loved that base. Loved watching all the TDY units come though, practicing traps and such. Was such a joy to see/feel those birds coming through. Seeing the harriers though…. Different experience altogether. Just plain cool. And now it’s my pleasure to hear how it was on the other side, from those who flew them. Simply awesome. THANK YOU for doing this podcast. Semper Fi!!

DrzejskiGreat appeal for a wide audienceI think these guys have really nailed the formula for a very listenable podcast among many types of listeners. The appeal to military pilots is obvious of course, but Repete and Fig don’t restrict their conversation only to the Maverick and Iceman-types among us. They present (or sometimes translate) their guests’ stories for all military folks, non pilots and even mere civilians (Repete’s regular explanation of the alphabet soup of military acronyms is very welcome). It’s a nice change of pace to hear discussion on topics that the vast majority of us would never experience or understand, but presented like a conversation with your neighbor over a beer. Kudos, gents. Nice work.
