First off, who else is going to give you a two hour analysis of Little Steven’s “Men Without Women”? Wait, where ya going? Come back! This stuff is good. Driving from northern Michigan to Pittsburgh yesterday, listening to the Jayhawks and Blondie episodes gave me a much better appreciation for the musical knowledge of the three hosts. They’re not just friends who like music, they truly understand music and the structure of songs and albums I never thought about the sequencing of songs like this before. They take on popular classics and some sadly overlooked shouldabeen classics (see above) with respect for the craft without being stuffy or pretentious. A great music podcast worthy of your rotation.
