    I’m long overdue
Oh hey, you can finally write a review from the app instead of having to log in on your computer. WHAT A CONCEPT. Anyway, that means it’s time for me to finally write a review for this amazing show. As a follower of video game history it’s easy to fall prey to the revisionist histories you see in hot take articles or YouTube videos from people who weren’t there. This is a rare and special form of history through oral recollection that we need more of, and Bill is a heck of a podcast editor! Do not miss! - Julian Titus, host of The Stage Select

    Thoughtful and delightful introspection
I found out about Bill’s podcast thanks to Twitter. I have had the pleasure of guesting on his show to discuss EarthBound, and he is as kind and warm “in person” as he is hosting the show. I am thankful for his interview style. He lets his guests travel along in the conversation and lets listeners really get to know more about the topics. Don’t sleep on this podcast!

Don’t Sleep On This One, Folks
A Gamer Looks At 40 has become one of my favorite podcasts. It’s like poring over a family photo album in podcast form. A totem of treasured gaming memories from the people who lived them. Bill’s ability to guide us through a collection of memories from a varied cast of guests that all bring different perspectives is truly remarkable. The fact that the topic at hand is some of the greatest video games ever made is a nice bonus.

    A blast from the past
Love shows looking back on older generations of games, such a nostalgia filled trip. Great show.

    Super NES move!
That sneaky shopping cart move tho! So much respect for that. I checked out the Now You’re Playing With Power, Super Power episode and loved it. The hosts are great and share space well. Such fun! Had me all up in my feels about that paper route money. Also y’all need a warning for the Santa content though. :P

    Fantastic retrospective of days gone
I’ve been really enjoying the stories of these people reliving their gaming youth and allowing me to reminisce in my memories with them. Sharing so many similar experiences helps bind us together as gamers and making sure these stories are preserved not only for ourselves, but future generations is becoming increasingly important. This has become more than a nostalgia podcast to me. It’s become a curation of things I hold dear and make me who I am today.

    A rad Red review
The world needs more conversation. Podcasts are thriving. A Gamer Looks At 40 keeps the conversation centered thanks to its well-witted host, a necessity in the oversaturated market of laugh track and inside joke podcasts that sound like they were recorded on a flip phone in a public out house. Keep it up, B!

    Excellent Video Game Podcast
I found this podcast and am really digging it. A video game podcast centered around nostalgia and focused on real story telling from real people sharing their stories of childhood and video games. Super well edited and written too! Check it oit
