I love FoF— it feels like listening to friends talk about my fav books. And if I can’t be reading a book, I love listening to chats about books, characters, theories, and plots while I’m going about mundane adulting. It is the perfect amount of depth and frivolity to add nuance to a lot of fantasy plots. I love history with Anna, appreciate how much all of you research so we don’t have to! Many, many thanks for just stopping the pod for commercials— I DESPISE when hosts try to casually bring them up in conversation ad a segue, it’s so ick.

I really enjoy this podcast and love the dynamics of their discussions. The only thing that I find frustrating is how often they interrupt each other. I love that they’re all excited about the books, but it’s difficult to understand when all 3 are talking at once.

I have to say I originally listened to a more well known fantasy podcast and the women leading it were so hyper it bordered on manic. FoF DOESN’T speak to listeners in high pitched excited screeching to keep attention. Their content and evaluation is thorough and entertaining. It feels like I’m talking to my friends about it. Really easy to listen to, job well done :)

I am so happy I found this podcast a few years ago. I am a big fan of these girlies. They are my bffs and they don’t even know it :D. They cover majority of the books that I personally read, so they’re like my own little book club! I appreciate that they give the positive and negative review of books because it’s very relatable to what we all do when we read a book. I love when people have the same questions or issues as I do, and that they are willing to discuss it, but still highlight the joys of the read.

I tried liking it, their voices are actually enjoyable to listen to. But they lost me with all the negativity. I just started reading fantasy, so had heard of podcasts about these genre, decided to give them a try. Don’t get how they are fans of the books they discuss, but sure like to pick them apart and complain a lot about the characters storylines or author’s choices. Yes, you can definitely have deep critique on stories, but their delivery feels too mean girls at times. Could not enjoy it with all the mean negativity.

I have been looking for a book club to participate in for years and just cannot find one. This fills that hole for me. I always feel like I’m sitting down with friends when I listen to the books I’m reading/have read. I look forward to these episodes!

Trying to prep for Onxy Storm so I decided to listen to your Fourth Wing/Iron Flam coverage. THANK YOU for all the beeakdowns & theories. While the content is AMAZING, some of your pronunciation doesn’t match the audiobooks. It became a little distracting.

I just found this podcast to listen to and I’m loving it. I don’t have anyone to do a book club with so it’s fun to listen to their thoughts and theories on books I’m reading or have read.

I have had such a fun time with this podcast, and getting to know the girls. I love the chaotic excitement and how they make you feel like you are in a room with friends gushing about your favorite book with other people that also love it! I’ve been listening about a year now and no stopping anytime soon 😊

LOVE the podcast but it’s absolutely annoying when one of you asks a question and the other one responds and while the one responds whoever asked the question talks over that person so I can’t even hear the answer! I skipped a few episodes just because it was so annoying. Thank you!!!

I adore this podcast! The girls make it so fun; you feel like you’re right there, discussing stories with your real-life book besties. They really dive in and do an amazing job of actually dissecting the book too, while still keeping it so fun and interesting. Thank you guys for doing what you do! ❤️

I really do love this show and the way they go about summarizing everything while pointing out things i might’ve missed or connection i didn’t make reading, it really does feel like a book club with the besties. Except I am finding it harder and harder to ignore the extremely loud volume one of them (not sure which one) talks in 80% of the time and kind of screechiness in her voice. It’s quite a bummer because sometimes i’ll have to take breaks just from being overwhelmed by the voice.

I am so in love with this entire podcast, most especially the Sarah J Maas episodes. I’ve read every single book and you ladies do NOT disappoint keeping thoughts turning and catching all of these Easter eggs and connections!! 10/10!!

i love these gals they’re my go to podcast for everything fantasy when i want to get into the nitty gritty and don’t just want to have an hour recap. my only gripe is the audio. i’ve nearly blown out my car speakers cause anna and christina are always so much louder than kim and then the ads are ten times louder than that. please please fix! in the meantime, ill get through it cause i wouldn’t give these three up for the world.

I adore listening to this podcast. I’m so obsessed with Sarah J Maas and am making my way through all of the TOG episodes as I do my own re-reads. (Howwww did you ladies miss talking about Chaol's birthday in COM though?!) Just one thing to note: I don’t know who is who, but one of you talks significantly louder than the other two and it makes it really hard to listen bc I have to constantly adjust my volume. I want to hear that amazing cackle laugh without blowing out my eardrum. 🤣❤️

I don’t usually bother with negative reviews because I can just…not listen. But this has potential! These young women clearly have passion for the subject matter and their enthusiasm shows. But the lack of organization of thoughts and constant interrupting makes it borderline unlistenable. And I am an interruptor. Its my chosen form of conversation. It does NOT work for a podcast, particularly when they are not interrupting each other to add anything of substance. They’re just repeating what was just said or trying to beat each other to something. Anyway…organize the flow of the podcast and stop interrupting each other and it would be great!

I am so happy I found these gals! I love reading and listening to them after (and having full out one sided conversations with them while they’re talking) brings me great joy 😂 I’ve found so many solid recs because of these 3 lovely ladies!!!

So cathartic. I didn’t know I needed a super enthusiastic recap with commentary after finishing a book. But now I do.

Every time I finish a good book and need a minute to debrief, these ladies are who I run to. Feels like I’m sitting at my kitchen table, surrounded by a book club of hilarious ladies, gushing about all the details that just happened. I love how relatable and excitable the hosts are and they say exactly what I’m feeling.

I just found this podcast about 2 weeks ago & was so excited because they talk about tons of my fave books. Initially loved it & how they cover entire books in 1-2 episodes. But then I went back to listen to some of their older episodes, & they started doing the ‘oh I’m a good person because I got vaccinated’ and ‘yay science’ nonsense, and it made me sick to my stomach. The whole podcast is now ruined for me. Hopefully they’ve apologized in more recent episodes for how condescending, rude & inappropriate this behavior was.

Found this podcast when I was looking for all things related to SJM. Tried out the other ones but didn’t like how they covered the books. These ladies made it really fun and I couldn’t stop until I’d listened to all of them! haha Now I’m looking into the other books they do episodes on and am so stoked to have found this podcast

Giving you 5 stars because I loveeee the breakdown! Only thing I’d change is the girl who screams everything, I would just calm down a little!! I want to hear the insights but the omg and the screaming gives very much the YA vibe that we are hoping to get away from! Love the girl who stays more calm and directs the convo! Both have amazing insights but no more millennial screaming plz.

For the love of god. I really like this podcast but please KIM, could you stop talking over the other 2 hosts and screeching? I get that she’s excited and it’s her podcast, but as a listener, it’s really hard to understand what she’s saying because she’s usually excited and a bit screamy. Anna and Kristina is great, they also get excited but do take the time to finish their thoughts.

The 2 of you HAVE to let the other girl stay on track with the outline. Exclaiming “OH GOD ITS SO GOOD!!” while someone is trying to speak is not super helpful to the discussion. Interrupting each other is off putting as a listener with all the squealing and sighing. But I like the scene by scene breakdowns, personal anecdotes, etc. Thanks guys

Came across this pod because I NEEDED to digest Crescent City 1&2 after finishing them because no one in my life has read these books. Genuinely felt like I was chatting with friends and I totally cried all over again when they brought up Lele 💔 Looking forward to the ACOTAR discussions and will continue listening along with my new friends when I read the the other books they discuss.

This podcast is wonderful and these ladies put in the WORK! You can tell the hosts are genuinely friends and really enjoy what they are reading which makes it all that more exciting to listen. Sometimes with book podcasts, people really get tied into their own opinions and that’s totally fine, but with this one there’s always such an open and semi-optimistic vibe that just makes it so much more enjoyable. The hosts balance each other out seamlessly and each bring something new to the conversation. Until CC3 comes out, I’ll definitely be relistening to these episodes to keep the story fresh and alive!!

This is my FAVORITE bookish podcast. The hosts are pleasant to listen to and come up with brilliant theories, connections, and literary analyses. If you like the SJM books you won’t find a better podcast than this one. I’ve listened to them all but this is my #1.

I just finished reading the crescent city series and I was dying to talk to people about it. Unfortunately nobody in my life reads these books so listening to this podcast is like freaking out with friends. So thankful for y’all!!

One of the hosts (Kim) talks over the other 2. She talks WAY too much. Let the other ladies talk and don’t interrupt them constantly. Also spoilers!!!! Not cool!

I like what I’ve heard, genuinely want to be able to listen along as I read each book, but they are not careful about spoilers and drop not-so-subtle hints for future book events by way of reaction. e.g. I was listening to the Crown of Midnight episode and there were three hints/spoilers in the first thirty minutes, even after giving assurance that spoilers for the whole series would be at the end with a warning. But if you’ve already read everything, shouldn’t be an issue.

This has quickly become my favorite podcast! I can always count on Kim to say exactly what I’m thinking in a smart hilarious way, Anna’s history lessons to clear up any confusion and Kristina to make me laugh. Love these ladies.
