elspeth_graceA podcast to bring simplicity to your lifeI love Emily Ley’s Simplified brand and mission. This is the perfect podcast to add to your podcast roundup. I love the length and the topics covered. These women inspire and empower other women!

BGA9489What is going on?I used to love the original podcast. I looked forward to my Thursday commute every week because this meant a new podcast with Emily. Now I have to pay to read something every week? I listen to podcasts because it *simplifies* my life… I can do this while driving, doing dishes, laundry, etc… I will most likely not be subscribing to substack. Please bring back the OG podcast!

FilluptospilloutUsed to loveI used to love this podcast and look forward to it every week, but it’s not the same. I miss Emily. The episodes are also so short, 15 minutes and filled with adds. Only one episode a week is sad. And most episodes still feel like they are reading from a script. I hope 2024 is better. I love Emily and this company, but I’m confused by the direction they are going.

rkss11Used to loveNew episodes feel like a copy of The Lazy Genius without offering any of the credit.

$68bghNo longer lovingI used to really look forward to the podcast but since Emily has not been on it doesn’t feel true to her brand anymore. She was very genuine and I miss that. I understand including your team but to completely remove herself is a bummer. Also am disappointed that to get her blog you need to subscribe. I have purchased planners for years and feel the company’s new direction is losing the personal touch (or you have to pay for a subscription to get it).

robyncookLove SimplifiedI really enjoy listening to Emily Ley’s Simplified podcast. I find it engaging and helpful in all topics they discuss. Thank you for being real with us and talking about real topics!

jha112Not good newsCaitlinJay88 expressed it so well. The original podcast was perfect. Just what I was looking for. I know this is a business but to me you have lost your original focus—life simplified. Your team is lovely but not what I signed up for. Unfortunately, they sound like Emily wannabes. Something is mIssing and I think it is the host and her original vision. Is it time to get back to basics? So sorry.

CaitlinJay88Feels like a breakupI loved Emily for years, absorbing her content across channels and mediums, implementing her strategies, and purchasing impactful products from Simplified or those she recommends elsewhere. I was a total fangirl. Unfortunately it feels like the brand is moving away from its simplicity focus - there’s excessive product pushes, collaborations, and 3rd party link promoting (how many Draper James dresses are best/favorite/necessary?!). Content requires subscriptions when Emily used to promote scaling back on subscriptions, and there are too many voices on an unfocused podcast (I can see adding 1 voice, but 3?!). It’s like becoming Emily’s version of an “it girl” has become more important than the original message that I loved and am craving. I am truly sad to lose my go-to resource for simplicity and grace-filled content, which used to positively impact how I approached my life.

Heidi22532⭐️Basing my one star on having the hypocrite Elizabeth Holmes as a guest speaker. What a shame. The whole brand has also turned into a money grab. Having to pay for “special” pod casts or for “special” blog posts. Just a lot of ick with that.
-
kpa7163A brand that’s lost its way.Unfortunately, Simplified isn’t simplifying much of anything anymore. All the new palettes, patterns, voices, and random topics add layers of complexity instead of bringing the peace and order the brand once promised — the reason I’ve followed, subscribed, and purchased for years. Can’t focus on what matters most if there’s no focus at all.
-
DoubleDawgDadI miss Emily:-(I used to look forward to every Thursday with Emily to get actionable advice on how to simplify one part of my crazy life as a working mom. Her tips have truly been life changing. The new version of two gals chatting is fine, but not helpful and definitely not for me. I miss Emily:-(

sco22512Not what it used to beI used to listen to the Simplified podcast religiously when Emily did all the episodes, but the recent transition of rotating co-hosts has not been an improvement. Emily’s voice was soothing and pleasant, and the new hosts are…not (Jessa has a very annoying voice and often slurs her words). The podcast seems to have lost its voice, no pun intended, with no clear direction. So disappointing.
-
EricaNAustinNot liking the new co-hostsI’ve been listening since day 1 and am on year 5 of purchasing Simplified planners. I have also purchased Emily’s books. So, please hear this as I am a genuine customer/fan. With the addition of the three new co-hosts, I’m not enjoying the pod and find myself skipping episodes. The new gals sound as if they’re reading a script, definitely not genuine conversation. The Fave TV shows episode…I couldn’t even get through it. It was vapid and at a certain level, consuming that much TV does not simplify your life. Emily, please stay on mission with your company and employees, especially the employees that are in the public eye, while you search for “what’s next.”

alysoncohenJesse!Love her dinner and Aldi episodes. Funny clever and useful

kateg987987Annoyed listening to thisI hopped on to listen to a 20 minute podcast episode and half of it is ads!!! And the podcast sounds scripted instead of like a conversation. Not my favorite go-to podcast.
-
Useful & accurateSo many ads!I Love Emily, Simplified, all of it- for years! I want to love the podcast too but there are SO many ads. Other podcasts that are equally amazing don’t seem to have this problem? Will still listen from time to time.
-
Sena0947The bestI have always loved Emily Ley but her podcast just takes it to a new level. So uplifting and motivating. I’ve never walked from listening feeling down and unhappy. I cannot recommend enough!
-
FartFace1,2Liz was amazing!Liz’s first episode was amazing. Her voice was so soothing. Her honesty was heartwarming and relatable. She came across as genuine and sincere. I’m sure she helped a lot of people feel seen and gave a lot of helpful tips. Happy for her that she is in her dream job and many congrats on her new baby boy.

Jenny Leigh HAlways EnjoyableI love tuning in to Simplified! Jessa absolutely rocked her first solo podcast. Great tips, super funny, and a bright spot in my day!
-
pwiegnerGreat change up!I love Emily Ley, and I’ve always loved her products, but the addition of some new team members to the podcast really added the additional flair. The Aldi episode was fantastic!

cleveland cateringGreat ladies and Supere ResourcefulIt feels like you’re sitting in the living room hanging out with your friends. Theee ladies always have great ideas with personalities that are kind and super welcoming. This is one of my favorite podcast to listen to especially on days where I’m not in the best spirits. I’m grateful that they take the time to make all these awesome episodes!
-
Mamamoe4Love Emily.. but podcasts are just okI love Emily and almost everything she does except her podcast! I wish she would just talk or chat or interview someone. I hate that I feel like she is reading something scripted or pre-typed. I prefer podcasts to be more authentic and her podcasts sound like she is reading a book.
-
jessicachanteMy favoriteI found Emily’s instagram and joined the 30 day challenge, which led me here to the podcast. I figured it would be some cleaning and “simplifying” tips about lifestyle and schedule. You guys, this podcast is SO MUCH more than that. I find myself scrolling to listen to all the oldies and goodies! Wow!
-
Andy-breckMy favorite podcast right nowAs a mom to two girls and a creative entrepreneur, this is exactly what I need. Emily Ley’s podcast and planners are a life giving resource. It hits the mark on so many levels of motherhood, home making, relationships and mental health. Practical, simple and relatable. I love this podcast!

Lmb488Best friend car rideI absolutely adore this podcast! My Thursday morning commutes are always a little better because of every new episode. I love the range of topics that are covered. It honestly feels like I’m hanging with my best friend and she’s giving me all the best tips on life. From easy weeknight meals, to how to talk to my kids about sex, this podcast covers it all. What can I say, I’m obsessed 🤍
-

-
Workingmom32So grateful for this podcastOn those hectic days where I’m trying to keep it all together I reach for this podcast. She has the best insight and practical advice. Her words are so calming and I couldn’t be more grateful for the peace it brings.
-
mjhazen730Hit or MissThis podcast has been deleted and redownloaded many times in my podcast library. I loved it at the beginning and have always enjoyed her books. At some point, it felt less and less relevant. Every once in a while a suggested episode pops up and I’m reeled back in. Many times, though, I feel as though there isn’t enough rich content per ad/intro/outro.
-
eebs16Breath of fresh airI’ve been listening to Emily for about a month now and am truly enjoying her podcasts. She takes the hectic life of motherhood, admits to the challenges and chaos, and helps breathe new air into it. Her blessings at the end always bring a tear to my eye because it’s as if she has just looked into my tired, tired Mama soul. Thank you and God bless!
-
Joe437555Help when I needed itI am an author also. I am speaking about “Togetherness” next week and just listened to episode 4 about friendship. My book Broken Like Me deals with this too. Any way, it was an inspiring episode and gave me great thing to think about. Hey…and if you did reach out, I’d love to maybe collaborate?
-
scoop92293Love this podcastSuper love this podcast. Short, sweet, helpful and the perfect podcast to make me want to be productive!

ThatTeacher23Simply The BestI listen to such a broad range of podcasts and Simplified is absolutely one of my go-to’s when life is moving too fast. I’m left feeling like I learned something , while simultaneously pouring something back into my cup. I’ve listed to every episode and some more than once. Emily, thank you for being you🤍
-
nitaksh08Love this podcastThis podcast feels like having a hot cup of tea and a warm hug from a friend. I really look forward to every episode, and the variety of subjects that are covered. I appreciate the tactical advice, especially in the season of life that I am in. Thank you, Emily!

amybird1981Best friend in a podcastAll the “warm & fuzzies” you get from visiting with a best friend, in the form of a podcast.

SARinerSimplification and Peace = podcast home runThis podcast is a quiet and relaxing conversation that makes seemingly overwhelming topics more palatable. Some of us moms with ADHD (even the ones who are still type A and love organization and strategy) really struggle with simplifying our processes and creating structure that lasts. Simplified provides tips and a framework - it helps me create simplification of those structures. I appreciate any podcast that help me shed the complicated, de-clutter the stress of all the things, and allows me more time to hyper-focus on other things that I love. Thanks, and I always look forward to more content!
-
GinaJM_NCA helpful breath of fresh airLove all things Emily Ley! She is an excellent source of practical tips, encouragement, and calm!
-
blakemore88Great for MomsI love listening to the Simplified podcast. Emily and her guests are enjoyable to listen to, relatable, and give you practical tips to minimalist, streamline, and organize.
-
LoveTrump❤️Good podcast, just too many adsPlease don't put so many ads!! It takes away from the podcast. Other than that it's a good podcast.
-
vlwaltersWonderful!I just started listening but am really enjoying the vibe and tips. Thank you so much.
-
brandes95One of my favorites!I wish I had found this podcast when my kiddos were still living at home.It would have been a game-changer!! I still love listening every week!!!
-
MaryH123456Lots of AdsMy first time listening and it felt like half the show was ads for her personal products and other company endorsements. I likely won’t listen again. (At the end she says you can get premium version without ads which further left a bad taste in my mouth.)
-
pls lesten to meKinda disappointingI love Emily’s books, in fact the A simplified life is a bible for me in my daily life, but the podcast totally disappointing. Emmaly I would like to see more expertise and less family and friends, I’m sure you can find some psychologist or even writers like you, less show off of how your life is so great and be more real, less sponsoring too, more simple rather than I do all this things. I would like to see more of your books applied into your life. I read ALL OF THEM and loved them, but I don’t think you follow your advice! More diversity for sure, you’re talking to different kind of moms, not only Jane!!

Oconnor13442EhEmily is an Instagram fave follow of mine. Her voice is calming, the conversation is good, and the content is helpful. However, the amount of time devoted to ads on the podcast has become insane. Recent episode had 4 minutes of ads for a 13 minute episode, not to mention the 4 mins between the intro and outro.
