BartholomusThe Voices of Reason We All Need. The best personality duo in all of podcasts. The first episode, I thought they were bffs, not spouses, because they are just sooo kind & fun with each other, while being down to earth & the realest of real about any & every topic. These two🫶🏼 ..it’s hard to explain, but just listen & you won’t regret it.

stephaniechewyMy Absolute FAVORITE Podcast, everI’ve been a long, long time Shandy - I think I’ve listened to just about every single episode. I’ve followed Sharleen since the ATPP days and lived for her recaps back in the day. I just love listening to this duo. I work in-person 5 days a week, and my commute can sometimes be a bit brutal. Listening to Sharleen and Andy in the car always makes the drives feel less terrible in the Bay Area traffic. Sometimes I even save new episodes JUST for my commute, because it feels like a waste to listen to Dear Shandy for a quick ride on the weekends. My favorite episodes are the Q&As, but I also love the Caller Episodes. The Bachelor recaps are sometimes the only thing keeping me going through watching entire seasons just so I can fully appreciate Shandy’s recaps. As someone who married her very first love from college, I feel like I didn’t get much experience in dating. Listening to Dear Shandy has given me way more insight into that world, and I think it’s made me a better person and partner. Sharleen, your hard work & dedication to the podcast shows in every single episode. I also always relate to your takes and really appreciate how vulnerable you are! Andy, I adore your singing and always appreciate hearing your perspective. You guys are the best. Sending love from a Shandy in the Bay Area <3

JNyCtLove!Incredible banter, humor and insights. One of my go-to podcasts to unwind after a long day. Thank you Sharleen & Andy!

New GradMeg and Mason! This was a fantastic get! I’ve watched quite a few love is blind interviews and this interview is one of the best. Sharleen and Andy asked great questions and gently pushed for clarity to go deeper. Meg and Mason were clearly comfortable and able to tell their story in a very real way. This feels like a huge milestone for the pod and I love to see it.
-
CarmenrkaySimply the best! This is the podcast that made me like podcasts. The advice is thoughtful, the recaps are better than the shows they talk about, and the hot topics are so thoughtful and engaging. This show has me smiling and laughing from beginning to end!
-
Julia0290Me Literally Is Getting SmarterI love that I have to google words every time I listen to the pod. Keep it up Andy and Sharleen! BTW your tangents are the LITERALLY best part, don’t let anyone tell you differently!
-
.inancyIt’s your humor and smarts for meHere I am laughing all by myself

CamgormaBest comfort podcast!I will support anything these two do! This is the podcast I listen to any time I want to laugh or feel anxiety. Please never stop!

012890abcWhat NextShandy, I’m a longtime listener answering your question about what next to recap, or at least here to tell you what I want to listen to. I love your analysis of shows and the way you deeply consider things. I started watching the bachelor before Sharlene went on and I’ve been listening to you for years. But now, I’m in my mid 30s and the Bachelor is boring. So are most dating shows to be honest. I’ve moved on to competition cooking shows (Top Chef, Next Level Chef, Crime Scene Kitchen) and gaming competition (The Traitors, Survivor, the Mole). I don’t need you to recap those (though I think you would love Survivor and Top Chef), just offering up a semblance of where my taste has shifted. I would love for you to recap some of the other non-dating shows you watch. I’ve heard you talk about Severance (haven’t listened yet to the full sidebar episode as I’m behind and don’t want to be spoiled) and White Lotus — would you please please recap those? I would enjoy that tremendously! It’s relationship dynamics (particularly in White Lotus) but differently. Our relationships with ourselves, with our families, with our friends, with new cultures. Tell me what you think about these topics! I like your episodes to be focused on something because I like the in-depth analysis you offer (the first sidebar minus severance was too light for this reason). But I don’t care about dating anymore. I know what your views are there. I want to hear you talk about something new please. Thank you for considering my thoughts. All the best, Cheering on Shandy!

handmama💕I love your show.thank you for talking about woman/women pronunciation. 💀I agree with your take on Bachelor Pad!! Please recap Temptation Island.

Miranda Leigh CInteresting Enough to Convince Me to Watch TV Shows I Normally Wouldn’t… and MoreAs if Dear Shandy wasn’t already a gold mine in a true sludge of podcasts that exist today… Then they come out with Side Bars. One thing I’ve always loved about Dear Shandy is its structure. How there are recaps and q&a’s, love fests and expert episodes. Something for everyone. But where it truly shines is its voice, and by that I mean, the discourse between Sharleen and Andy. They’re both sharp and funny and extremely considerate. When they say something it’s clear they’ve thought about it. Too many people talk these days without saying much. I would listen to these two paint a wall because they always find the hilarity and the interesting in the mundane. This is all to say that I’m here for the sidebars addition. The reaching across the table commentary cracked me up because let’s be real, when you were growing up, every adult ever would be like “no elbows on the table, it’s rude” and then proceed to say something wildly racist. Five Stars for Dear Shandy.

IvyLouisaFunny, smart and thoughtful relationship podcastThis podcast is a hilarious anthropological analysis of modern day love both on and off the screen. I never miss an episode.
-
AstroGirl:)My Favorite Podcast!Typing this during the Sharleen jeopardy music interlude on Episode 376 request for Apple reviews. Dear Shandy is my favorite podcast. Sharleen and Andy are compassionate, insightful, clever, and always hilarious. Their Q&A advice is relevant to all. I also listen to their reality TV recaps despite not watching any of the shows. They are so charming and captivating that their banter is worthwhile even if you don’t have any outside context. I am so grateful for your labor of love! ❤️
-
laceface0119Seconding the Tangent Love!I saw a review about a Shandy who lovesss the tangents, and I jumped on to second that! I actually get disappointed when Sharleen redirects Andy for timeliness. I wish they would just do chatting episodes filled with tangents! Love it so much 💁🏼♀️
-
WoverineForLifeBest podcast everI listen to a lot of different podcasts, but this one is my favorite. I especially like the Q&A and the expert interview episodes. Their dialogue is smart, thought-provoking, and genuinely funny. Keep up the great work!
-

Angela H!Tuning in for the TangentsLong time Shandy here! I just have to say, I love listening to Sharleen and Andy chat about just about anything. I haven’t tuned into a bachelor show for 3 or 4 seasons now, but I still listen to every recap! Especially love any and all tangents 😊
-
EG721Most enjoyable married coupleLove love love you guys! Your love and respect for each other is demonstrated every episode. Marriage goals! The way they genuinely enjoy the other is soooo charming. I’m one of those listeners who is not a bachelor viewer but I still love the recaps. These two can do no wrong!!!!!!

lkanshcjsnMy fav podcastI love this podcast so much! I constantly find myself watching the shows thinking, I can’t wait to hear what they have to say about this moment. Their dynamic is the perfect mix of humor, insight, and honesty. They always pick up on things I wouldn’t have noticed and articulate exactly what I’m thinking but couldn’t quite put into words. If you’re into reality TV, relationships, or just love a great conversation, this podcast is a must-listen!❤️❤️❤️
-
Providence KThank you for keeping me company! You guys make me feel like I have a big sister and brother-in-law looking out for me and keeping me awake on my commutes to work!
-
Snippets-By-MendiAlways feels like I’m spending time my best friends!I have had a couple really bad (life changing) weeks so whereas I usually watch every Dear Shandy episode the moment they come out, I had to catch up on several missed episodes all at once and it felt like the warm hug I was needing. Andy and Sharleen feel like the best friends I’ve never met. Hands down my favorite podcast! ❤️
-
Anthony-NYCI love their recaps!Their recaps of all the Bachelor Nation shows and Love is Blind shows are so entertaining! I simply respect and trust their well-thought out opinions and judgment. They are honest, intelligent, specific, respectful, eloquent, and funny. I feel like I would go on a dating reality tv show just so that they can critique me and give me their outside perspective of who I am as a person. 😆. Their observations and relationships commentary are just so good!
-
ATB2875Love!I’ve been following since Pretty Pandas. The jump to videos made me sad initially, but the content has definitely evolved in a positive way. This is one of the podcasts I listen to regularly now, both Bachelor content and also general life content. Love listening to you both!
-
mblaidesPerfect duoI I love Sharleens laugh and Andy’s monotone humor.
-
dd2801Less recapsLess recap episodes of shows please!
-
cmb114Love the show, disappointed in pseudoscience sponsorsThis is arguably my favorite podcast - I’ve been following sharleen since the pretty panda days and the podcast is funny, smart, and engaging. I have been disappointed as late by some of the sponsors, such as function health, which is run by a pseudoscience grifter who fear mongers and spreads health misinformation on Instagram. Please consider not adding to misinformation epidemic happening in our country. Thank you! Dr Jessica Nurick is a great follow on Instagram and Substack if you need more info on how harmful some of this is.
-
BeccaFlys87Amazing PodcastThis is my favorite podcast! I love you guys! And I sincerely love Andy’s tangents. I learn so much from him. Keep up the great work!
-
J-Dizzle83I watch the show BECAUSE of the podcast:)Fun fact- Juan Pablo’s season is the very first season I watched! I have ALWAYS loved Sharleen, mainly because I’ve always felt like she was too good for this show, lol. I don’t really listen to podcasts, but stumbled upon this show a while back and I was hooked. I now watch Love is Blind because of this podcast. They are just so funny and their analogies just make you laugh- especially Andy! He can really tie things together that you never saw coming and it’s HILARIOUS. Their tangents are why I keep coming back- 10x out of 10 I always agree with them about the contestants, and it’s not always the popular opinion. Makes me feel like “ok, I’m not crazy” almost every episode. If you guys read this- keep saying how YOU feel! You’re recappers and I love your opinions and judgements, lol. Thanks for the years of laughter and companionship in my car and at work!
-
LaureblizmacLoveI’m a member of the LDS faith and I was a littler nervous when I started your podcast today, because so many like to mock or joke about the religion. So thank you for being so respectful. I just love you guys!
-
FaithElizabeth88LOVEI love listening to Dear Shandy. Every time there is a new episode it is my first go to. Listening to them recap shows like the bachelor and love is blind brings me so much comfort and relaxation. Love this couple. Please never stop podcasting!
-
AllieE731Who’s hating? This podcast is one of my favorites and is one of the ONLY reasons I keep watching Bachelor shows. Your recaps are so entertaining and I love your perspectives. Andy is the best. Always makes me laugh out loud which isn’t easy to do- you guys are truly amazing. For those who hate the ads it’s literally the easiest thing to do to just fast forward through it. Don’t be lazy people! Keep being amazing.
-
michicasaIf someone is not listening / watching - do it now.I had to look up my Apple Credentials to log in so I could review you guys here. I've been following Sharleen since ATPP blog. Andy is a wonderful sidekick (haha). The relationship advice is spot on and given with doses of bothhumor and empathy. Guests are wonderful - whether it is just chatting with other couples or doing the Hot Topics with authors. And the recaps,... Even if you don't watch whatever show they are recapping, there are often bits of everyday wisdom discoverd.
-
alma kimberlyTimelyThank you for getting your LIB recaps out so quickly 😄
-
Evangeline BillupsBEST relationship podcast ever!Seriously, listen to this podcast - you will not regret it. You will learn so much about relationships while also being super entertained by Sharleen and Andy’s banter. This podcast will make you 1. a better person/partner and 2. will give you so much joy. I look forward to this every week and listen to it as a treat when I work out or commute 😅 Also Shandy’s Bachelor recaps are the BEST and literally the only reason why I still keep up with the Bachelor.
-
ghhkvfCame for the tangents, stayed for the tangentsIf everyone listened to this podcast, there would be no war. 5 stars
-
MidwestktThe smartest laughsAs a solid middle aged midwesterner dog mom(but former big city dweller and daughter of a life long violinist) I feel like i connect with you both in so many ways. I listen mostly to the love fests and Bachelor recaps. You always keep me laughing. The food, music/ditties, dog, and city life convo tangents are always welcome. And the added distraction from the news is needed right now.
-
tttteeerrrrriOne of my faves!I listen to 30+ podcasts a week and this is one is a favorite that i always look forward to! I love their dynamic and thoughtful commentary, whether it’s a Bachelor recap or a caller episode! They each have a unique perspective and i love the depth of thinking, but at the same time i always feel lighter after listening.
-
my name is k80A show with depthLong time listener, first time reviewer. I’ve loved Sharleen’s content going back to the pretty panda days. This show expands on her wealth of wisdom and Andy’s down to earth insight has really helped me grow as a person. Thanks to you both!
-
kashmir2626Great advice, laughter & the occasional tear. Also a cute dog!So good! I love the tangents, and Andy’s analogies….i don’t know how Andy brought together escalators & great white sharks today, but he did and it made me laugh. Thank you for crafting such a fine podcast, and even putting out episodes when you are traveling and working outside of NYC.
-
dumplinggalWayyyy too many tangentsI used to love this pod but their irrelevant tangents during the recaps have made it unlistenable. It really does seem like half the recap episodes are actually about the episode and half is random tangents. I also don’t appreciate that they were complaining about recent negative reviews which made their fans flood the reviews with positive comments - it seemed a bit manipulative! It’s ok to get bad reviews and constructive criticism about the show!
-
JamieklmnopCall me Sine beCosine I’m here for the TangentsI’m a total nerd and bachelor fan and this podcast is the best of both. Sharleen has the insight from being on the show and is so articulate with her findings about each episode. Andy provides intuitive and hilarious commentary as well as informative tangents and break outs into song. I love it. And combined, they offer a power couple perspective. Beyond the Bachelor, the Love Fest episodes are some of my favorites as they ask the real questions about relationships and love. Keep up the good work and if I’m ever in New York, I hope to be brave enough to say hi!
-
jgomes007Love your Bach recapsDie hard Shandy here! I look forward to your bachelor recaps every week. I for one actually like in Andy’s tangents 😊 and I just love how you guys bounce off each other. I also love how you guys are covering. Love is blind recaps too.
