    So far so good!
The apple podcasts algorithm showed me these guys and while I’m only one episode in, I can highly recommend them as the opposite of grognardy. Casual in tone, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming to EVERYONE interested in historical gaming. I reserve the right to change my mind, but so far, this is a winner!

    Fun Podcast
Three long-time friends discuss historical miniatures wargaming. The podcasts have a topic, and they do a reasonable job not going down rabbit holes. While everyone has preferences, there is rarely bashing of rules sets. It’s a fun listen.

    A wonderful podcast
It’s obvious these guys have been friends for many years and they have vast hobby experiences. I especially like that they cover a wide variety of topics and rules. Only downside is that the episodes are a bit short. I really enjoy their shows.

    Do you listen before posting?
Tried to listen to the one about Warlord Games since I just bought some of their figures. Fidelity was miserable, and then to top it, someone is talking way too fast. So no more espresso before a session, OK? And spend some money ($70 is enough, Blue Snowball) on a decent mic. My background is in web based training and these skills aren’t inherent so don’t feel too bad! You need to listen to your audio on a poor laptop and balance the sound for that condition. I can’t believe how fast that one guy talks!

    Friendship and games
A great podcast that covers both the games we play AND the friendships that keep us all coming back to the games.

    A Good Starting Point…
I’ve been interested in historical wargaming for years (decades really). My flirtations with the hobby include several rulebook purchases, half painted armies, and a lot of unpainted lead. With the pandemic, my interest has rekindled and I’m back at the painting table with visions of diorama-quality battles in the not-too-distant future. When I discovered this podcast…well, that’s not accurate…it sounds like it was an accident—I was much more intentional. I actually did a search (on historical wargaming) on the Apple Podcasts app and found this show. I’ve binged the first few episodes and now I’m eagerly awaiting the new ones. Listening to Tom, Richard, and Ray is like hearing the friendly banter of my own gaming buddies. The content is solid and I’ve learned a lot from hearing the debates, options and recommendations of the hosts. Keep it up, guys. I’m looking forward to learning more.
