    I tried…
I’ve really tried to get into this pod. Unfortunately, there’s just too little planning, focus, and structure to make it worth it. There are a few good episodes, but they don’t outnumber the difficult ones. First - the speakers are hard-panned left/right - very annoying to listen to. It simply doesn’t create a natural environment, and for audio guys this seems like a very rookie mistake. Their audio levels are often unbalanced, and one host is often clipping as his levels are set too hot. Just doesn’t inspire trust. Second - they ramble and head down rabbit holes often, which can make it difficult to follow. Stick to the subject, and use stories related to the topic to tell a story. Sidebars that go on for 20mins don’t lend to a good listening experience. Third - they bring up different bits of equipment and plugins, but almost never provide audio examples of why they like them. They just talk about then; it’s an audio medium, give us some audio! They span lots of different subjects across their seasons, but I don’t think they group/organize them well. There needs to be a reason to talk about stuff - maybe bringing on a guest from time to time would help solidify them as guides in the world of mixing and mastering.

Terrible Panning on a “Audio Education” Podcast
I’ve loved this pod for couple years, but can’t not give a low rating, just to be sure you see that myself feel ( and I believe I’v seen other reviews agreeing ) that the panning of the content, does not match the medium ( listening in cars, one headphone while at work, etc…. ). How can we trust the content if it’s not aware of how the content is listened to.

    Very good podcast
The content is really good, very interesting subjects but why the panning of the hosts left and right? That can be annoying when listening with AirPods …

    Solid info…
I appreciate the info and reminders that Jody & Chris share. To me this is just the right show length to cover these types of topics. No matter how long a person is in recording world there is always room to improve, learn something new, or be reminded or encouraged along the way. Thanks guys.

    Good topics
Solid podcast and seem to be bringing some info I'm not hearing on other audio podcasts! . Thanks guys!

    Stop interrupting!
I’m trying to like this podcast, but there’s too much interruption and attempts at comedy. Just give us the info and stop the interruptions and digression…stay on topic. Very annoying

    Great info but...
Great info from every podcast but Jody needs to pull it back a bit and not correct everything Chris says. You both have a wealth of experience to share with us. Thank you!!!

    Very Helpful Info and Entertaining!
Thank you for your podcast. Very helpful info!

I _think_ this is a great podcast!
But it’s hard to review it as such because it feels unbalanced. The one guy talks so much more than the other, and often interrupts. I love the content and your personalities, but feel there needs to be a more even balance.

    You guys rule
Just wanted to leave a review to tell you that I really appreciate your podcast. I feel like everything on the internet is either lame “master classes” or YouTube channels full of people who sort of know what they are talking about. I’ve learned a ton from you guys so THANK YOU!

    Jokester
Why does the one guy make a joke about EVERYTHING!? That dude is super annoying. I'd much rather listen to the dude actually spewing information. I'm one episode in and I'm not sure I want to dive much farther if each episode is this Jody guy just making jokes about everything.
