This is definitely my top podcast for homeschooling. I am new at homeschooling and this is my first year with my 5 year old and my toddler. I only wish there were more episodes geared towards the younger years. Hoping for more on this! Thank you!!!!! You are an inspiration.

I have absolutely loved this podcast! Jeannie Fulbright is one of my favorite people in the homeschool world. She is filled with such knowledge and encouragement. Adding Shiela has been the perfect addition. I could sit at the feet of these two all day and listen to them speak. They are both so authentic with their experiences. I always feel refreshed after their podcast and so much more confident in this journey. Thank you to both Jeannie and Shiela for taking the time to provide such encouragement to other homeschool mamas. Your podcast has been an invaluable resource to me!

I've been homeschooling 3 years now and have always kind of followed Charlotte Mason. However, this spring, the Lord prompted me to invest in A Gentle Feast Curriculum. Therefore; I am now learning all the things, going to read her volumes, etc. I'm at a season in life where I usually feel like drowning but strive to be humble, not over-scheduled, have a good relationship with my kids, minimize materials, growing in faith, give my kids a beautiful home atmosphere and education, and have excessive time out doors. This podcast is awesome for all the things. And perfect for me while I'm doing dishes or going for a run! Thank you for your dedication Julie and Jeanie!

One has to wonder if anyone who opens her podcast with a sales pitch that includes “Homeschool families love them, enemies of freedom hate them…” really has a hold on the atmosphere and disciple of a Charlotte Mason education.

I just started doing some simple homeschool preschool this year with my 4 year old son. The last several months I’ve been taking a deep dive into Charlotte Mason’s philosophy, and have fallen in love with it!! I found this podcast by just typing in “Charlotte Mason podcast” on apple podcasts, and I’m so so glad I did! Because of what I’ve learned from Julie and her guests, I am now reading Charlotte Mason’s “Home Education” book, am reading really good living books with my kids, am focusing on the habit of obedience. I’ve also been encouraged to continue to spend much time outdoors and memorize scripture with my kiddos. I’m so thankful for a Christ-centered, practical, and deeply thought-provoking podcast. Thank you for all you do!

I’ve always dreamed of homeschooling my kiddos but life was always so busy. When Covid and distance learning came, we decided now was the time to switch. I am so grateful for Julie and A Gentle Feast! This show gives such wisdom and encouragement at just the right time! Julie is such an encouragement to every mother who is striving for an authentic Charlotte Mason education for her children. In an education culture that, while upholding truth and beauty, can also be intimidating and even divisive at times, she offers practical guidance and honest experience. We recently started homeschooling and found Charlotte Mason and then found Julie through Facebook. At that time I was so overwhelmed with figuring out what curriculum to choose and how to organize it all......fortunately I found out Julie had a curriculum called A Gentle Feast and I looked it over and it was just such an answer to my prayers.....we absolutely love her curriculum. I It’s been such a blessing to watch my boys thrive and love to learn! Hi, I find that this podcast is such a great support to a new homeschooler mom! I feel this is a place that I can get motivated to keep going, try new things and be resilient when things just don’t go as planned.

Once I was convinced to peruse a Charlotte Mason style education for my children (by For the Children’s Sake and an amazing, trailblazing friend), I found A Gentle Feast and never looked back. I’m so thankful to the Lord for this resource that so wonderfully brings together living ideas and books, as well as the enjoyment of nature. Julie and Shay have been like dear friends holding my hand on this adventure, lighting the path ahead a bit further every time they post a new podcast. If you’ve ever listened to podcasts by Charlotte Mason enthusiasts & felt like you could never live up to their ideals, Julie will be a breath of fresh air! She admits that, like all of us, she has her strengths & weaknesses. And she’s not afraid to use (& recommend) resources created by others to help compensate for her weak areas. While I’ve gleaned from & use some resources from other publishers (CM & otherwise), A Gentle Feast has proved to be the best fit for our family. And this podcast is an extension of the life-giving heart of that lovely “curriculum”! It’s true to Charlotte Mason but without the “purist” mentality. I’ve been blessed to meet Julie in person on multiple occasions & love that she’s as real on here as she is in real life.
