    Thanks for scamming me
I started listening for the content which was decent. Then to finish the story I have to pay extra!? Scam!! Thanks for wasting my time

    Broken
I would have given this podcast a 5 star rating but gave it a 4 instead due to the political opinions of the people involved with the reporting. Once again the only name mentioned as knowing but didn’t do anything about it was Trump. Same for the podcast about the Maxwells. Please leave your political opinions out of your podcasts. And additionally, anyone wonder why the lists of actual people that were Epstein’s clients haven’t been disclosed? Lots of powerful, wealthy and corrupt men I’m guessing. The politics takes away from the victims and their stories. Their strength and bravery.

    Politically motivated
There are way too many references to Trump in here. It’s like they’re trying to associate Trump side-by-side with Epstein. They named drop him in so many off-the-wall ways. I want to lock this podcast, but it’s very left and clearly politically motivated.

    OK
How was Virginia forced again? Because when she left Epstein’s employment to go to Australia it didn’t sound like there was much resistance. So what was forcing her to stay? Also she wants to hold the enablers accountable. So what’s she doing to hold herself accountable since she recruited and trafficked underage girls herself into the same horrible life that she apparently was suffering so much from and got paid extra for it. Does she just want to find other people to hold accountable to squeeze more money out of them? Of all the millions she’s received in compensation, what percentage did she give back to the girls she trafficked knowing they would suffer the same trauma because of it?

    Listened, stunned
Brilliant reporting team and brave survivors tell an important story about abuse of power and back room deals. US Atty, prosecutors, presidents … it’s about the justice system, politics and money. I appreciate they do not go into the details of the SA — The story is about the system that failed the victims and the survivors’ fight for justice.

    Mixed quality
This show is very repetitive and is front loaded with too many ads, some that repeat. It’s a fine line between prurient content and raising awareness, but awareness of what? It’s more investigation and gawking material than anything socially responsible.

Towers finance episode where’s the records?
Just listened to the episode about where his money came from. Did anyone ever really look in the warehouses of New York? I hope someone is still looking to find the dirty money that was hidden in the Tower finance case. I know someone, although on smaller scale, that is still getting away w it. Find the records that will secure the money for the women he hurt. Try the storage in the salt mines underneath Hutchinson KS.

    Well done
I was hesitant to listen to anything more about Epstein. However I truly respect how you left out the salacious details that so many other reports have. There are many other interesting aspects of this case, some that make you truly sick because of the corruption but others like the grit of Julie K Brown that are inspiring. Also a mom of a young girl, we just had a deep talk about sexual predators, what they do for grooming, & what to watch out for. Well done, thanks for all your hard work.

    Guaranteed reaction; be forewarned.
I appreciate the exhaustive research and laying out numerous accounts of horrific behavior from people who deem others as disposable. I can’t help but feel really angry after listening, as the tone of so many interviewed comes off as detached. Self-soothing, or self-preserving, perhaps. Still, kudos on the reporting!

    A bit too judgmental
Overall I really like this podcast. The only thing that I really don’t understand is why the reporter thinks she has the right to be so judgmental against the enablers. Not that I’m excusing their actions, not at all. But a good reporter/journalist should be leading and let the listeners make their own opinions. Everyone has their reasons for not coming forward, such as fear of prosecution, fear of reputation, etc. Again, I’m not approving of that and I think the all the survivors should get all the support to make their case. I just don’t like the narrative of the journalist.
  • katweb20
    Details of routine are interesting
The victims were also seduced by the lifestyle of very rich. Private chef, flights, drivers, famous guests. But the memories of how they were trafficked must be very painful.
  • woodyxx14
    Politically motivated?
Not really sure how we can tell the story with all these details but somehow forget to mention Bill Clinton... doesn’t seem random either. Story told is not bad but slightly misleading.
  • hazelbnr
    Thorough
Respectfully done in terms of telling the story of the victims and searching for some understanding of those enablers without excusing their behavior.
  • RTcard1
    Excellent, riveting story
Excellent journalism, well researched reporting, sorry is unbelievable sad that this went on for ao long, and is still going on
  • nhdrjon
Hard to do but she made it
It is difficult to do but the pod cast made me fell less sympathy for abuse victims. No I do not blame the victims but she has named several figures but failed to mention William CLINTON. If she can name Dershowitz and not name Clinton robs this effort of a LOT of credibility. If you are going to seek justice for people making accusations which are not subject to physical proof you have to be truthful and not leave out major figures.

    Worth the listen
Feel much more informed. Very succinct coverage of the story.

    Thank you!
I am so grateful for your voice and the voice of the strong women who HAVE OVERCOME! Thanks for sharing yourselves with all of us. Their are so many women who know this.... it makes you amazing in my eyes! I will think of all of you often and always admire the strength! Thank you all!
  • Kates228
    Yes!
The more we can talk about Epstein and all of his horrible doings the more we can heal his victims and prevent and out other horrible humans in his realm and inner circle. Cough:: everyone on that flight list. Thank you for this! Keep going there’s so much more to uncover.
  • Rebrick2006
    Not Consistent
She paints the recruiters as victims and villains... which is it? She’s all over the place. I’m not impressed.
  • Johnboytweed
    Pretty boring
Not sure what it takes to be successful with podcasts but I know what doesn’t work. Couldn’t get past three episodes. Let’s see what you can endure
  • JosTAussie
    Thorough and sensitive coverage
I’ve read about and watched documentaries about Epstein and his crimes and still I learned more from this podcast than I’d previously known. Sure hope Victoria and her sister survivors manage to hold other accomplices to Epstein’s sex trafficking accountable. Maxwell needs to rot in prison for the rest of her life
  • EpsteinDidntKillHimseld
    Left Out Information
Some of these victims were also recruiters. I understand their sickness, but I found it misleading that Michelle is interviewed and it was never mentioned that she recruited for years.
  • PeabodyNsherman
    Tara disapointed
She totally used Juan as bait. Virginia and the victims deserve justice, but not by trash talking the only witness who is willing to talk. This is why APL and the others will not talk publicly and it’s unfortunate. Seems like Tara ran out of material and had to BS her way from a 5 minute episode into a 30+ min.
  • PNWSeaTown
They should ask the chef (Lange) and others about the photos...
...there is evidence in the vault and he knows if he talks they will come out. So few of these men who are considered “witnesses” are without blame. Jeffrey made sure of it. There are keepers of these items past his death. The evidence that can ruin their lives seems worth staying quiet instead of helping the victims of rape and assault and trafficking. Chase that down. So many men are wrapped up in this and there IS evidence. No rest until truth comes out!! Also, why is Jimmy Kimmel in business with that sneeze all??
  • Becca51175
    2006
The narrator relayed a story that apparently took place in 2006. She indicated that prominent Democrats were jockeying for position in a potential Hillary Clinton administration. Hillary ran for president in 2016. George W. Bush was president in 2006.

    Okay, Despite Leftist Bias
If you’re wondering if NPR types could find a way to force leftist dogma into a topic as seemingly apolitical as Jeffrey Epstein, believe me, they did so at many points. The last episode I listened to was particularly bad. It seemed to be about 80% spewing leftist talking points on the criminal justice system, and 20% about the Epstein case. The unholy religion of leftism aside, there’s still enough decent parts to make this an okay podcast. I just roll my eyes when they are pushing their propaganda and wait until they get back to just talking about basic facts about the Epstein case. Another slight annoyance is how they repeatedly state as fact that Epstein committed suicide. The possibility that he was murdered was dismissed as a “conspiracy theory,” a term that is only meant to thoughtlessly end discussion. Nobody disputes that Epstein conspired with others to commit his many crimes. But if you want to dismiss an idea you don’t like, but lack the facts and logic to refute it, you can always just thoughtlessly attach a negative label to it, as they did in this podcast.

    Flawless!
Brilliantly executed. One of the best podcasts I’ve heard in awhile. I was an FBI agent and have been a private investigator for 17 years and I would hire these ladies in a heartbeat. Virginia’s fortitude and Tara’s reporting skills are amazing.
  • Bingobosslady
    Greatest Podcast
Thank you Tara for that great episode w/ Virginia and Juan Alessi. I’m a new subscriber and I’m looking forward to listening to more. I appreciate you gals covering the prison industry too.
  • Glacdav
Haven’t listened to all of it yet but
These trump comments are so annoying, though. DON’T FORGET YOUR GRAND WIZARD TRUMP AND HIS MRS. WERE FRIENDS WITH EPSTEIN AND MAXWELL. But you all don’t want to talk about that 🙄🤷🏻‍♀️
  • Nancysc1954
    Too political
Too political regarding prisons. Stick to Epstein, murder or suicide?
  • michkatel
    Never a loosing battle
Continue exposing people to get the message out that there are consequences for participating at any level in or saying nothing about what you know is terribly wrong.
  • Sal4416
    Meh
Boring. Already told lame story. Trying to blame people who didn’t know.
  • Cutiebo0ty
    Amazing!
Fascinating podcast and the host Tara does a wonderful job. Excited to listen to more episodes. Highly recommend.
  • RigbyNY
    Huge Disappointment
This should have been done much better! These reporters owed the victims that much.
  • Hbo4445599873
    Worse than uninformative
The whole premise of this podcast is prepostorous. Nothing is broken here. Epstein was not some lone wolf. Clintons, Prince Andrew, Bill Gates, MIT, etc. were all mixed up with this guy. Don’t forget: Adam Davidson was a cheerleader for invading Iraq.
  • Dixie.10
    Broken
The only part of this that is correct is the name, Broken, yes you are. The self righteous journalist you had on compared our President to Robert Maxwell, so far from the truth. As soon as finish here, I am deleting this opinionated podcast from my list.

    JKB Unstoppable !
What an impressive job bringing our awareness to this gutsy and intelligent reporter. The sincerity of the narrator's confidence in Julie is heartwarming. The whole way through we can see her fierce spirit trusting herself, caring about truth and leading us to the best of what's to come as Ghislaine has run dry on power this week and denied a scam exit. Truth I trust, justice, not so much - but with Julie K. Brown and her ability to relate to the minors who J.E. And G.M. abused and exploited, I might believe the powerful network of depraved men will be named and found undeniably guilty. I hope JKB finds peace of mind and realizes what, I imagine, others saw in her all her early career years. Peace and pride, Julie.

    Extra info
I've listened to other podcast about Epstein and this podcast just more details about the other people who colluded with him in the crimes he committed....especially Ghalaine Maxwell.....Well done!!
  • Shitizen
Informative but not updating frequently enough
I know it takes a lot effort to do this podcast. But I mean, if you plan to do this, better do it at least weekly. Do not start before you have enough material to keep it going.
  • Kendall, FlyersRights
    Stop calling it suicide
Only issue with the podcast is the hosts calling Epstein’s death “suicide”. When overwhelming evidence points to the contrary.
  • E~man
    Not me Adam!!!
    Good info very good research
  • ioandoa
    Weak storyline poor dramtization
I was expecring more after reading about this podcast online in speciality magazines.
  • Lshrock
    Not worth your time.
The team at Broken, seem very biased and you really can’t expect straight forward honest information. Basically you hear a few people repeating what you already heard from the media. Especially the way they cover the covid-19 pandemic..
  • Beachplum72
    Pretty dramatic
At the outset you state that you’re giving information without the hype but your first episode was pretty dramatic. I get that you’re used to doing dramatic podcasts, but it would be nice to tone it down a notch. Give us the facts without the drama, please.
  • ARaeZ1111
    So typical
Seriously, you couldn’t wait 5 min before dogging on the president-y’all are the problem
  • bad show
    Biased bullship
Stick to facts not Trump bashing.
  • ShannieK
    Biased
Very hard to hear what they were trying to say through all the trump bashing. Why does everything have to be so political. My God.... We are supposed to be in this together.
  • ChyP55
    Biased reporting via podcast
At times good, but the extreme bias reporting is disproportionate to the facts and made the whole thing inconsistent and poorly executed. Additionally, the last episode took a long jump off a cliff that tried to climb back up but impossible to do so. The final episode might as well have been named “Attica” - this would have been more fitting seeing as you covered the “suicide” as bookends for the entire episode only.
  • Rhosuze
    When is the next one??
When is the next one coming out?? Last was nov and you all said it would be every 2 weeks. It’s been almost 3 months...
  • Ryñaldo
Broken....the story of Julie Browns voice
Punishment for Epstein should of been having to listen to Julie k. Brown’s voice. I couldn’t make it through an episode that she was in without my ears bleeding. Horrible. Unlistenable
