Enough with the war on white males already!
The host is a racist and sexist. Every time she gets to take a jab at a white male, she does so.

This Podcast has literally helped change my life!
WOW!! What a gift Kristen Carder is to the ADHD community for being a champion and putting herself out there. This podcast has literally helped to change my life!!!!! I was recently diagnosed at the age of 41, married 13 years (together 17), and also a business owner. When my life was literally on the fringe, about to all fall apart, feeling lost and disconnected, I got the diagnosis and immediately backed myself off the ledge. Meds, coaching, counseling have played a huge part in getting myself back on track, but this podcast has made SO MANY revelations about myself, my relationships, marriage, and the issues I have dealt with my entire life. Listening to this regularly is a constant reminder of the things I need to be more aware of, or work really hard at just to keep up. It has also taught me that it’s ok to take time for myself and to be more self aware. It has uplifted me when I hit that extreme low from getting a rejection in my business, or helped me keep my feet on the ground during awesome wins. It has cemented my need to be an independent worker and resist the urge to give up and re-join the workforce. I know it will be harder than being my own boss. Anyways, I could go on for hours about why this podcast is so important to me, but that would take time away from you getting into it. Start listening now, and you’ll be hooked. Thank you Kristen! You’re such an inspiration and good person ❤️ 🙏🏻

Where has this been all my life?!
Oh, you have been working this ADHD thing like me!! And thankfully, you have been able to collect your thoughts and ideas to make it a Podcast and share your knowledge and experiences with us, the rest of your fellow neurodivergent minds. I was originally diagnosed in 2012. I didn’t follow through with the medication therapy or any other therapy for the following 10 years! Finally over it, I got re-diagnosed and began the proper therapies. I just left my monthly doctors appointment for med refills and she directed me here, your podcast. In true ADHD fashion I am probably going to binge your series for the next 7 hours while working. You have, in just two episodes, hit home with me on ALL the levels of my struggle. I am hungry for more content. I sent the podcast to my kids already! Can’t wait to dive into episode three!

    Thank you Kirsten!
I was recently diagnosed with ADHD as an adult and wanted to learn more about it, thank you for this podcast, I can relate to so much of what you talk about. Growing up in school I wasn't taken seriously, I have other learning disabilities like many ADHDers and I feel like my other learning disabilities took priority over my ADHD. I'm listening from the beginning, and I love it!

The fact that she did this!!! 🙌🙌💪💪
I love this already, can’t wait to listen to all of it…

    “Advocate” with no actual awareness
How can you possibly help others when you don’t have the self awareness to understand how your choices hurt your community? #Sorrynotsorry.

    Ugh
    Disappointed

Compelling, sincere, and instructive podcast for the ADHD community.
Compelling, sincere, and instructive podcast for the ADHD community. This podcast was recommended to me by my therapist as I'm figuring out whether I have ADHD. All I know is that I feel less alone when I listen to her and her guests converse--that I can putter around my home and do housework or exercise with her in my headphones and not be paralyzed with anxiety about what to do next in my life. Kristen, thank you for your work! My life is better because you and your team are doing it. From one classically trained music-major brain to another, I see you and I feel seen! She's like the Oprah of ADHD! However, buyer beware--she's not an academic, this isn't a foundation, and she's not putting on this show just for lolz or just in the public interest. Carder is running a business here. Her sponsored content and business are as tastefully placed into the body of her programming as can be expected of a for-profit show, but if you're a vigilant thinker, sensitive to and curious about content creator's motivations, know that she and her people aren't doing this for hugs--they've all got kids to feed and put through school. That said, this is as good as it gets in terms of RESPONSIBLE INFORMATION and GOOD VIBES. Five Stars!

    My fave ADHD podcast!
Hi! I’m a new listener. I happened upon episode 299 and I instantly clicked with it. I decided to begin all the way back at episode 1 and work my way up to the current episodes. I’m on episode 30 and can honestly say I’ve learned something or had a positive takeaway from each episode. You have a way of explaining me and my ADHD in ways I can’t do myself and I understand myself so much better. I can relate to so many things you talk about. I could go on and on but mainly, I just wanted to thank you for sharing your experiences and knowledge so that we can understand ourselves better.

This Podcast Truly Changed My Life
3 years ago I was diagnosed with combined type ADHD. I didn’t even know adults could have ADHD until that point. I found Kristen’s podcast not long after that and it has been a weekly staple in my house. I was always a very sensitive person and had a hard time regulating my emotions. As mentioned in this episode, there were times that one thing could derail my entire day, almost every day. It seemed like it got worse after each child I had. I have been listening and doing the work and this past year I have seen so much improvement mentally. I can actually stop and allow myself to feel the emotion before it consumes me and go about my day. I didn’t know I had the capability of controlling my own emotions. I always assumed they just controlled me. Because of Kristen, I am a better Mom. I am learning to be kinder to myself, which then shows through the way I raise my kids. I have learned to set boundaries that I never could have dreamed of doing before, so I don’t burn out from always saying yes. In a world where anyone can say whatever they want on the internet, it’s hard to find authentic people wanting to truly help. With Kristen, ADHD isn’t just a trending hashtag. She does the research to actually help others thrive. I appreciate who she is and the work she has done to help us.

    Explicit, vulgar language
You are truly inspirational, smart women and men. Your messages are of great encouragement and educational information to those navigating the neurodivergence world . When you continue to use vulgar language though, the respect for and value of what you have to say, go down. Please replace this language with that which represents how valuable your messages of encouragement, education, and support are.

    My go-to
Kristen’s podcast has been part of my weekly listening for the past few years. I regularly go back and find various episodes to help me navigate challenges that’s I’m facing. Thanks for all that you do for those with ADHD, Kristen!

    Can’t miss essentials
As someone who is late in life diagnosed with ADHD and trying to grapple with learning and understanding what ADHD really is, this has become an absolute must listen weekly. Kristen is great at giving usable info, great interviews and real help. I can’t recommend it enough to anyone who has any interaction with ADHD (yourself or someone close to you).

Helping to heal a non-ADHD spouse
I stumbled upon Kristen’s podcast to help understand my self-diagnosed ADHD husband of almost 30 yrs! It’s been a challenge needless to say. As a non-ADHD spouse I have been given such rich knowledge and perspective from my husband’s point of view from listening to each podcast. I hope he’ll listen to this podcast one day, but in the meantime, I am immensely grateful to have your life changing information and cheerful voice playing in my ear. God bless you!!

    Newbie
I was just recently diagnosed with ADHD along with diagnoses I have had for years like OCD(for picking at my skin and lips), Major depressive mood disorder and anxiety. The adhd thing I never thought much about until there was an incident this year that set me back emotionally. This led to the diagnosis and me going ok not surprised but completely surprised. I don’t know where to go from here and have been very overwhelmed. Everything you have been talking about really resonates with me. How do I learn to manage a household with three other people(husband, and two girls(21 & 12))whom all are neurodivergent? I am hoping as I continue to listen it will help give me some relief.

    Extremely validating
I was diagnosed as a young adult woman and this podcast has been so helpful. I’ve heard the host and guests mention symptoms that I never knew were related to ADHD. I feel seen!!

    Binge-able podcast - oh oh!
I’m 5 episodes in starting with Kristen’s 1st podcast 5 years ago and I feel like I want/need to keep listening. But I’m taking to heart the awareness that I know it’s difficult for me as a person either ADHD to transition and stop doing something I’m enjoying. So I’m channelling Kristen’s voice and thinking of all the reasons it will feel good to relax with another soothing activity and move myself toward an earlier bedtime. Thanks. I’ll keep listening - hopefully, in moderation. Glad to see you’re still at it.

    Game Changer
For as far back as I can remember especially in school I knew I was different. My parents didn’t know what they didn’t know so I didn’t get diagnosed until I was 23 or 24 years old by my beautiful RN wife. She said to me “you need to schedule an appointment with our family practitioner about getting diagnosed with ADHD”. For which I replied “do you really think so?” And she laughed and looked at me with her beautiful big blue/green eyes and said “oh yeah”. I went to our doctor and she very promptly gave me a solid diagnosis saying that I have probably the worst ADHD she’s ever seen. Fast forward to about three months ago and nothing has ever gotten better in regards to my ADHD if anything it’s just gotten worse. I started working at the VA Hospital here in Topeka, KS in a program that helps veterans get back into the workforce. I used to listen to podcasts while I worked at other jobs and so I started listening to podcasts again. It occurred to me one day that there has to be some good podcasts available on ADHD and I found a number of them. It was just chance, dumb luck really, that I started listening to Kristen Carder’s podcast first and it has changed my life completely for the better. I’ve learned so much and gained so much confidence because of her podcast. I haven’t yet signed up for Focused but once my budget has more wiggle room I most certainly will. Anyone with ADHD or anyone who knows someone with ADHD needs to listen to her podcast. It’s helped me so much that I can’t even express it in words the insight and knowledge and all of the benefits since I’ve started listening. Well, l’m rambling, darned ADHD brain. Last thing, this is a must listen to podcasts. Thanks Kristen. Topher from Topeka!

    Must listen!!
I was diagnosed with ADHD in my forties, and this podcast has been incredibly enlightening. It’s taught me so much about myself and my ADHD journey. Kristen is both relatable and sincere, making each episode feel personal and engaging. I especially appreciated Episode 290—it was truly eye-opening. What Kristen and Tamara discussed resonated deeply with me, and I felt both seen and validated. This podcast is a fantastic resource for anyone wanting to better understand themselves and their ADHD.

    ADHD, best podcast
Ever on any subject. It *is* hard to be human. Then there’s all the extra conditions, ADHD for one. If ADHD is an invisible trip-wire or life rigged with criss-crossing ultra-violet alarm sensors, the host Kristen Carder is Tom Cruise. Mission: A.D.H.D.

    Life Changing
One day when feeling lost and confused and wondering if ADHD might explain a lot about myself as an adult, I searched for ADHD podcasts and loaded up a bunch. When I started Kristen’s podcast, I deleted all the others. With Kristen’s calming and upbeat voice, I found something I really needed and didn’t know I was missing. These episodes resonate with me so much and helped validate what I felt and experienced and also offered a way forward. I find when I just simply listen my life feels better. If you have ADHD or are curious about it, you need this podcast!

    Calms me down
I absolutely love this pod, Kristen calms me down and makes me feel so seen. On my worst days, I go back and listen to my fav episodes and I always end up feeling so much better because of the air of acceptance she gives. She is so clear and also has so much care and compassion in her voice. Thank you for your honesty and your kindness!

I wish I could Loooove this
It’s too hard for me, mid 40’s gen Xer, to handle Kristin’s voice and catch phrasing. The moaning little “mmmm”s at her guests, the “love.” Interjections. It’s like she has to constantly be making noise even when the guests have the floor. I guess I’m old and grumpy. But I got a lot of great references from seeing who the guests were and finding them on other podcasts.

“I can’t wait to share with you…” takes over 8 minutes to get to it
Listening to episode 231 and…I don’t care how many times you say “I can’t wait to share with you…” when it takes you over 8 minutes to start talking about the information you’ve been so “eager” to share. Let your actions actually follow your words.

I love listening to this podcast to help my self esteem…😘😊🤷‍♀️I love when I get a little nugget from a Podcast that make a lightbulb go off in my crazy brain. Recently the word… simple!!! If it isn’t simple it’s not gonna happen…. “Is that why a new make up palette is so difficult to learn, or a recipe with so many ingredients is too much for me.”

    My life on a podcast
My therapist suggested that I seem to show traits of ADHD, so after taking an assessment she gave me I scored a 21/21! She suggested I find a pod cast or read some books. Reading is not my thing… It’s too much lol. But this pod cast had me yelling out loud “oh my gosh YES! That’s how I am!” I’ve sent it to my oldest daughter (21) who when in kindergarten was suggested she had ADHD. Never teated her, but after listening to you I texted her at college and said baby girl I am so sorry, but listen to this, I think you have adhd. I relate so much and listen daily to catch up. LOVE THIS! I have also shared with my husband who is “normal” who has said I cannot believe how much this seems to mirror you. Please keep it going!!

    I didn’t know
Thank you for your podcast. I have struggled with all of the symptoms and was first diagnosed with ADHD at age 5 and was on medication until I turned 18 when I refused to continue taking it because of the way it made me feel I tried taking medication again at age 23 when I got married and I had emotional reaction and it made me completely emotionally unstable. I owned my own business for 11 years and able to keep things up but always wondered why I have so much trouble and things have been up and down personally and in business and it’s all because I did not realize how many of these things or symptoms of ADHD.
