jonkyjan 9Champion of artistsErika is a true artist champion. It is rare to find a leader with such capacity for lifting others up in the many ways Erika's does with I Like your Work (in addition to her own art practice and business)! I am constantly hitting down notes, making connections, and feeling the bliss of recognition in each show- As an artist champion myself- I find fuel in these conversations for the vulnerability that Erika invites and makes space for in every conversation. These conversations matter so much!

GoodGood SoulI like the content but..The interviewer has lots of passion about the subject but I really wish she would calm down and be more grounded when she interviews the artists. I'm quickly getting tired of the "like, like, like valley talk and it sounds like she yelling in to her mic. LIke I said, I applaud her enthusiasm, but I wish she would mature up and be more grounded.
-
Mrs.LohrMomma ArtistWhat a wonderful interview with Deborah! Talking about owning your schedule, while being a mother, a teacher and an artist is amazing to wrap my head around. Her strength let’s her multi take and keep things running smoothly.

breadhead's daughterGreat balance of topicsErika’s layered conversations with artists are full of studio love. She has a gift for getting guests to expand on their ideas in a clear and accessible way for the listener. The podcast also offers inspiration and practical tools for artists to communicate their own work more effectively.

Emily Pfaff PaintingI Like Your WorkI love this podcast! Demystifying the intimidating aspects of the art world while celebrating the artwork itself. The interviews are fascinating and I love the questions Erica asks. This is such a useful tool for any artist!

jensinghEngaging artist interviewsI love listening to these podcast interviews on my morning walks or while painting. During the pandemic, it felt like I was meeting new people and it helped me get through the isolation! Erika’s sunny personality always puts me in a good mood.

Deborah WassermanAn enriching, empowering and uplifting podcast for artists!!I've been listening to I like Your Work for two years now. I salute Mrs. Hess for her creativity, courage, enthusiasm and persistence in offering these podcasts! The title of the show reveals its content: It's about sharing, celebrating and honoring the work of artists and art professionals. As an artist and a mother, I love how the podcast highlights women artists and doesn't shy away from difficult issues. The podcast has certainly enriched my life and helped me connect with a new community online. Lastly, I really like how the podcast is promoting the idea that we already have all the resources we need as artists, we just need to know it, to embrace it and to share it!
-
bazingiExcellent Artist interviews!!This is the best artist interview podcast I have listened to. The interviewer asks great questions and the artists interviewed always seem comfortable and relaxed. Artists talk a lot about their process, their work habits, their challenges and their inspirations, and it is really informative and really fun!!

Monica in CAFeeds my creative gas tank every time!A great podcast for any creative who is finding that life doesn’t offer enough time to make as much work as you want to make. Erica’s weekly podcasts feed my need to stay connected through the conversations unique to artists. They also keep me motivated to inch toward more studio time, especially in those moments when it’s just. so. hard. to do it all. I like your work” is a resource in every sense of the word. Thank YOU Erica!
-
Amazing community for artists!Amazing community created by I Like Your WorkI recently learned of I Like Your Work podcast and it is my “go to” for encouragement and inspiration as an artist. Erika is an amazing artist who is just so incredibly generous in offering these podcasts as well as a host of wonderful studio tools and tips for artists on her ilikeyourworkpodcast website. She interviews a really wonderful mix of artists, curators, critics and writers, as well as a variety of innovative entrepreneurs. She also tackles a broad range of themes including feminism, motherhood and art making, work/life balance and the transition from art education to the real world. Erika is honest, kind, and really inspiring. Listen to these podcasts and be inspired! Holly Wong San Francisco

Stellaki10“I Like Your Podcast”Erika B Hess creates the most well rounded art podcast. I learn about artists and all the different facets of the art world like galleries, museums, business, open calls, presentation, sharing my art and more. Erika is an artist and talks about the art world from experience. Erika’s open calls are well worth applying. Not only will she generously review my work, she sent me a valuable gift of “I Like Your Work Juried Show Observations”. Brava!

non-art-teacher-designsCommunity Building Through the ArtsErika has a gift for building community through the arts. Every episode is inspiring. This is a great podcast to listen to whether you are an artist or teacher or just like looking at art. She talks a lot about the artists (read painters) that listen to her show, but I think she underestimates her audience (in scope, not in talent)...I spend my days in the classroom, but she has inspired me through this podcast to get back behind a paintbrush with more of a focus.
-
CsbmeTruly remarkableErika's understanding of the artist’s perspective is truly remarkable. She always focuses on the things that really concern artists. I appreciate her realness and straight forward questions for her guest. I’ve learned soo much listening in. Erika thanks so much for all you do.

Aarthi H.Erika keeps it REALSeriously. This podcast strikes the perfect balance between theoretical philosophical art stuff and the nitty gritty practical stuff. Both are valuable and it’s soooo hard to find both in the same place! Erika and her guests generously share their knowledge and strengths while also revealing their vulnerabilities. Awesome stuff. 🙏🏼💪🏼🙏🏼

idtmb2There IS a world out there! As someone who lives in the boonies and tries to maintain an active studio presence, I really appreciate people (like Erika) who try to bring about conversations with other creatives in a way to make the art world a little more visible. I can honestly say that the breadth of these interviews are worth it and I love that she takes the time to give us all bonus episodes on top of her awesome interviews. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone looking for that creative community!

-
yayforartistsBridging major gaps!I am drawn to this podcast as an artist and as a person who has lived inside many different artworlds over the course of my life so far. I’m drawn to the effort Erika puts into opening proverbial doors to studios of working artists, a landscape that is usually private. She does this with curiosity, generosity and a keen sense of the importance of sharing our stories. I’m so glad it exists!
-
