I’m not even a wrestling fan, and Thunder and Lightning has still earned a spot at the top of my podcast queue. Brian and Robbie’s chemistry is undeniable, their insight sharp—but what really keeps me coming back are those dulcet tones. Seriously, if podcasting had a velvet sound award, these two would win it. Whether they’re breaking down Mississippi State sports or veering into unexpected tangents, they manage to be both entertaining and oddly soothing. A must-listen for fans and non-fans alike.

Love the sports and food talk! Could do without the wrestling talk, but so be it! Great show for my morning commute. The rumblings are always fun!

This review is nothing personal. My husband listens to you guys so much that I literally cannot stand yalls voices and add read literally makes me want to step in front of a train. Again, nothing personal - I’m sure yall are nice guys.

Writing a 5 star review to offset Mitchell's 1 star review. Y'all are the best. Keep speaking your minds and being real. That's why people tune in. Don't worry about the soft section of our fanbase like the ones in right field. They don't live in reality like the rest of us do. We prefer your honest opinions and will continue to listen because of it.

I love this podcast. I turn it on every time during intercourse no matter if it’s with a man or a woman or 3sum. My partners also like it.

Please get over your feud with the outfield group. You guys started it by criticizing them. I don’t care who is right or wrong but this feud is getting old and running off listeners. I know several who have stopped listening and I am getting close. I am a season ticket holder in the chairbacks so I have no connection with anyone in the outfield. I am not sure what you expected to happen when you originally criticized some of the very passionate fans in the outfield rigs. Get over it and apologize to them and move on. Those guys are true bulldog fans and do a lot for the baseball program. We all hated losing like we did in 2022 and 2023 but it had nothing to do whether we feed or didn’t feed the other team.

Brian and Robby always come in with the CORRECT Mississippi State football takes. They are straight shooters and aren’t afraid to ruffle any feathers. The “Things That Are True” are always true. As a bulldog living in Alabama, even the ads remind me of home. Hail State!

Great podcast. Robbie needs to learn the difference between “less” and “fewer.” Would be 5 stars but the commercial reads are out of hand. A typical 35 minute episode has 15 minutes of ad reads. You can reliably skip the first 6 minutes of the show without missing content.

But Brian, for the love of God, stop chewing gum while you’re recording. Makes it unlistenable through headphones.

I’ve enjoyed it for years. As an out of state fan, I rely on the podcast for news, and you guys are the best. I was born in Starkville while my dad went to State on the GI Bill. He talked often about welding cowbells for students and fans. So, it’s in my blood. FYI, I tolerate the wrestling talk. 😀But I did give you a 5-Star review!

This show and these guys are my favorite podcast. Why is Joel Coleman still listed instead of Ronnie Falk. I want to take these guys out for all you can eat steaks at Doe's eat place then head to the casino for serious craps shooting. These boys tell you how the cow eats the cabbage and I LIKE IT ! Keep up the good work Brad and Ronnie. I like the rumblings. Also when yall was on the catfish tour and "catfish cris" talked bad about the the delta catfish just showed how stupid he is. I'm from the Delta and I promise yall don't want to test a delta boy. Ask Lee Battle or Jay Perry about us. See yall later

Been in the Air Force and away from my home state and College team for 17 years now. Currently stationed in Italy and will be for another 3 years. I have been listening to this show every morning and evening to and from work. Y’all keep me invested in MSU since i can’t make my yearly trips to Starkville to see them play. I’ve lived in VA since 1999 after moving from Mississippi, and you guys help me feel connected to the Bulldogs, for better or worse. Appreciate you guys greatly.

You’re right, you made the correct call. MSUs Season is over since they lost to S Carolina. Probably should forfeit the other games. Of course then maybe no one listens to the Podcast and sponsors will leave and it will be cancelled I guess. If the season is over the podcast is over.

I listen and watch all things MSU. If it happens at State, they cover it and cover it well.

It’s called Thunder and Lightning but could easily be named the Brian and Fat Jesus show. Fat Jesus is a legitimate counter balance for Brian and is not afraid to be outspoken. I respect that about him. Both are very well informed and I genuinely rely on them both for well sourced MSU information.

Brian and Robbie are entertaining and informative. Future Brian is the real star of the show.

Terrible podcast. Brian doesn’t eat eggs and Robbie hates Leake Academy. I barely listen to it every day. Would not recommend.

Best MSU podcast available without a doubt! Not only do you get great MSU athletics coverage, but you also jovial banter that is entertaining. Brian & Robby keep up the good work!

By far best State podcast and it’s not close. Brian does a really good job with a level headed approach, supported by his quick research abilities to bring us the facts. Robbie also gives a level headed approach, while still being somewhat of a jerk that you like to like. Rumblings are good, but for those of us that don’t tweet or know how to tweet, there is no easy way to send questions. Recommend opening up a new way for us non tweeters to send in questions.

Not a fan of wrestling but still enjoy the show.
