Love the podcast. Question about Loki season 2 episode 5 review. No for Oklahoma or anything lol, but notice a lot of dismissive comments towards the place but do you think there is any significance to the actual town it is of Broxton, OK. On the comics Asgard was rebuilt here when it was destroyed at one point and time.

you can tell these guys both care and know their stuff. And unlike the fanboys they don’t blindly extoll the virtues of every single show or movie. (News flash, theyre not all great). Keep it up gents.

I can’t keep up with all things Marvel, but I don’t have to, thanks to them.

I became a fan of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2021 during the pandemic and this podcast became a godsend for me once I got caught up. It was so much fun binging it and I was hooked from the first episode! The guys have so much energy and their passion for Marvel is amazing. It makes me proud to be a fan!!

This is the best and only MCU podcast I listen to regularly. If this was the Middle Ages, I would be proud to be conscripted into and die as a part of the University Imperial forces.

Best place for MCU conversation. Feels natural with people who enjoy what they’re doing. Can’t recommend enough. Sometimes I watch a show/movie just to keep up with the podcast *cough* Venom 2 *cough*

The hosts and their guests always have the most engaging discussions on all things MCU! With diverse perspectives, this podcast is wonderfully nuanced with both praising and critical discussions of the MCU, letting it know how it can do even better. Highly recommended!

I have been listening to this podcast since Infinity War. These episodes kept me company during my first year of grad school when I would commute two hours both ways. Listening to this pod while I made the long commute helped me transition gracefully between my roles as mom and student and satiated my curiosities about the larger Marvel universe and the film industry. AC eloquently explains the connections between the comics and the films, infusing the podcast with a depth of knowledge about a frequently overwhelming subject to beginners; Jake elucidates the mysteries and inner workings of the film industry, from screenwriting to actor contracts to interpersonal relationships; Jerome adds a slight outsiders’ perspective that catches threads and connections that the others miss, and his kindness and positivity shines through in every episode (except perhaps the Hulk one). Additionally, Nitz adds and exciting flavor in her extremely hot takes that may or may not upset the listener, but still pulls them in. AC and Steph also host a wonderful series—“Marvel did What?!”—that gets into some of the weirder stories in the comics. Ultimately, this group engages the listeners in more ways than one. From Twitter correspondences to shout outs to including listeners into generating content, the group keeps the listeners interested. It’s a wonderful podcast that has established a lovely community. Highly recommend.

Very easy to listen to, funny insight as well!

I’ve listened to several different MCU pods and this is the best one! I’ve always been a fan of Marvel but the MCU turned me into a super fan. This podcast is for fans that fell in love with the movies who aren’t deeply into the comics. The resident comic book nerd of the pod, Anthony Canton III, will give you sufficient comic book knowledge without boring you. They are all sports fans, which is the reason I think I connected with them so well. It has a laid back vibe and I feel like I’m chatting with friends when I tune in. Keep it going guys!

She brings an overpowering and dismissive negative energy everyone just tries to work around.

I listened to the AntMan and the Wasp ep because of this show’s connection to Back to Back (NBA pod). After that I decided to go back to the beginning of the series and listen to episodes after re-watching (or re-re-watching) the movies in the lead up to Infinity War’s streaming/blu ray release. I am supposed to work 60 hours/week, so my productivity is shot but the show is a lot of fun.

MCU has the best cast of characters covering the best cast of characters in movies right now!

Stuttering low-quality 10-years-ago Skype-quality audio, a female host whose audio is clipped anytime someone else speaks (60% of the time), and even a drink stirred and slurped in a mic. The audio issues are minor at times, very distracting at times, but constant, and for someone that listens with headphones, it makes the show completely maddening to listen to. Sad, because the actual content is good.

The pod that’s tangentially related to the one you’re more familiar with hosts/heroes you’ve never really heard of but come to love just as much

Was tempted to give it 5 stars but then I heard that someone “needed to die” and “stakes” talk. Probably one of the silliest most annoying things people talk about when discussing the MCU.

These guys are all obvious fans. They will talk the good, talk the bad, talk the rest and there you have the Marvel Cinematic University Pod. Anthony, Jake, and Jerome (alphabetical order) study these films and give you real takes. What’s your favorite scene? Covered! What’s your favorite line? Covered! What are the plot holes? Covered! Who’s your favorite non-title character? Covered! How annoying was Stan Lee’s cameo in the film? Covered! Deep minutia? Covered! They got it all covered! These dudes dive deep and have given me, a huge fan of the series (except for the Hulk movie) a lot of background/“things you missed” knowledge of the movies! Loving it! Keep it up!

For better or for worse, I consider myself addicted to the MCU. Seen every movie and watched every episode of every TV show (yes, even Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). I can be a tough critic when talking to people who don't have the same reverence for the universe that I do. But despite total fanboy-ness and lack of chill for all things MCU, listening to this podcast gets me even more excited about the franchise and makes me want to go back and rewatch every film in order just to experience it all again. These three dudes have great insight and great chemistry with one another. They do a wonderful job of recontextualizing each movie based on what we know now ten years into the MCU experiment. Give them a shot, I promise you won't be disappointed.
