    Jake can tell a story!!
I listened to this podcast on a whim after hearing an ad. I fell in love with it. Jake is such a good storyteller. I find myself on the edge of my seat even if I know the story. Definitely recommend!!

    My new binge!
Someone asked me if I had listened to the Marilyn episodes of this pod so of course I ran to listen because she’s my personal icon. And now, I am HOOKED! It’s like talking with my friend. We are obviously of the same generation, so everything Jake says is like YES! I love the narration, I love the commentary, I love melatron, I’m just obsessed! Telling everyone I know to listen, binging every episode! Great podcast, great host, great subjects…. Just super awesome!

    The Voltron of Podcasts
Jake and the Double Elvis crew form like Voltron and he just happens to be the head. Jake’s story telling skills are second to none. It’s a dying skill and he’s running with the embers. The music is tremendous. You don’t even notice it is unlicensed it’s soo good. It definitely sets a vibe. And the writers! They pull out unheard stories about artists I thought I knew front to back. This podcast still amazes me after many years of listening. I got both my kids hooked on it. my son and I are Patreon members. All I can say is Thank you team Double Elvis, don’t stop.

An incredibly well constructed podcast, impeccably delivered by the host Jake Brennan. This is a polished production that deserves every one of the five stars! A must listen!

Screaming aloud in my home BAMBOOZLED
You got hard! After a while, 10 days or so of enjoying the spring weather and working into the late evenings, I hadn’t had time to catch up on my Disgraceland feeds. I came home on April 7 and listen to part two of the Bob Dylan extravaganza… Let’s just say Hook line and sinker! I was yelling and holding my hair up at certain points ~top notch ya’ll.

The Pod I Recommend to Everyone
This is the pod I most look forward to every week. No matter what the subject, Jake will approach it from an angle you are not expecting. He covers a lot of topics I thought I had a decent amount of background on, but I’m constantly surprised by the unpredictability of this show. Jake’s reporting is always thoughtful, unbiased, and razor sharp. This pod deserves your attention.

    To much profanity
Love the content and podcasters voice….but just a little too much profanity for me. Wish it was different. Not for me.

    Well, this scratches an itch…
I spent an entire summer, about 15 years ago, reading memoirs and biographies about dead rockstars—even ones whose music I didn’t even listen to! I just like hearing stories about creatives and the good, the bad, and the ugly aspects of their lives. This show captures my interest with some great storytelling about all the creatives of our generation and the generations before us. Also, I also love the way Jake says “melotron.” He has a sexy voice.

    Excellent Work
I’m throughly enjoying your deep dives. It would be amazing if you connected with people who are close to the stories or artists and got their take or input, that would propel you to a whole other level. We love you just the way you are though, Jake, just a thought. I’m officially hooked on Disgraceland! Proud to be a member.

    Exploitive
Gossip about how celebrities die. It’s dehumanizing and disgusting. It’s also boring and hard to follow because the guy is just all over the place.

    Anything but a Disgrace!
This is my favorite Pod going. It combines two of my favorites 1. true crime & 2. Music. Jake is an amazing storyteller and there is probably already a great podcast done here about one of your favorite artists. I think I would be friends with anyone who enjoys this podcast, and as I get older, I don’t like anyone!(haha, j/k sort of). Download it NOW!

Disgraceland is THE ultimate authority on all things rock. Jack gives you a fly on the wall view of even the most intimate moments in the lives of rock stars. Get an in-depth take on the Manson Family and the final moments of the Tate and La Bianca murders, who killed Jimi Hendrix, what happened at Altamont and don’t get him started on Woodstock 69! Well researched and sound produced with new episodes EVERY week!

    The best
Jake Brennan is the best story teller on the planet. It won’t be long before Hollywood snaps him up. Enjoy his podcasts while you can.

    It’s a man’s world
All the stories are about dudes. No bad girls allowed I guess. 🥱

This is a top shelf show.
I’ve been listening to Disgraceland for a few months now and it’s only just now occurred to me what Jake’s real super power is. The show is well written and produced, is the perfect length and the topics are varied. But where Jake really shines is in his ability to make musicians and genres I’d normally not give a second chance to come to life and be interesting in a way I’d not thought possible. If you have even a passing interest in music this show is for you.

    Give it a go...
Disgraceland quickly became one of my favorite podcasts because it puts an interesting spin on the old rock and roll tropes. Quality writing, quality production, quality delivery (even at 2x speed), and quality subjects. I consistently find myself riveted, even on the shows I didn’t think I’d be interested in (Norwegian death metal?). Check it out if you dig music, pop culture or simply a great tale well told.

    Just WOW!!!!
Greatest podcast EVER. Taken over my phone. Cant/Wont listen to anything else. Okay, not completely true, but I listen to 10 Disgraceland pods for every one of the other only two other podcast I like. Keep it up and as always, Rockarolla 🤘🏻
  • Chuck Destruction
Solid storytelling about everything you care about (or should care about)…
Jake has made the controversial comment that rock n roll is dead. It is. Over the years, he and his esteemed team have gone through the hard work of collecting and archiving the worst behavior in musicians, let alone humans, and if your dark passenger needs a little fill of debauchery, this podcast will help you experience terror (and laughter) over what humans can do to one another. Serial killers are interesting, but how hostage taking, stalking, arson, and covering up murders happens by those we love dancing to occurs… now that is riveting.

    Great listen
The show is well written, with great delivery of the story. Everyone that asks for something new to listen to Disgraceland is my first options for them to try. Keep up the great work y’all!

    Very interesting stories and details!
Loved The Beach Boys episode. What brought me here was the connection between Brittany Murphy’s death and the Diddy verse
  • He’s HR d gtg
    Jerry Lee Lewis
I’ve listened to every episode and this one remains my favorite. It’s the alpha and the promise of what will be delivered. Jake took on one of the wildest rockers ever and set the stage for more epic episodes that keep me tuned in every week. Rockarolla.

    Fantastic
I have been a huge fan of this show since the Arnie Hammer episode. Jake and his crew are amazing storytellers for all things Hollyweird and more.
  • Nitokay
    This pains me to say
But this podcast has gone down the tubes. I binged all available episodes last year and have noticed that what’s being put out now are all repeats. No new content unless the host becomes obsessed with a person or topic (*ahem* diddy). Nothing new, nothing interesting. If they can refresh and get some original content I might come back.

    I love Jake Brennen!
Look, This Podcast blows my mind! I was raised by a biker and a hippie!Music is my life. My favorite episodes, thus far, are, the Dimebag Daryl episode, which blew me away. The! Best!
I freaking LOVE this podcast. It’s all the sex, drugs, and rock and roll stories you’ve ever heard, and so much more that you haven’t. And if you text the host about Seth Putnam from AC, sometimes he gets back to you haha. Genuinely some of the best storytelling I’ve heard, even if you’ve never heard of that episode’s subject. Just a great listen

    Keeps getting better and better
I listen while I work, and I often find myself audibly gasping. The latest Hag episode gave me legit chills.

    No Way
Can’t imagine actually paying for this. 35 minutes of listening to some Casey Kasem cornball reiterating the same Motörhead stories we’ve all heard 100 times before? If that appeals to you, save that $5 a month for eventually buying a clue.

I can not live without Disgraceland and Jake!
In 2020, I joined the podcast craze, devouring mainly true crime shows and trending topics. As someone passionate about music, history, and Elvis, I stumbled upon Jake's podcast and was immediately drawn in. The Disgraceland and double Elvis intrigued me. I’m glad I delved in! I had found the podcast and interests I’m actually interested in! What sets Jake apart is his meticulous research, unbiased approach, and willingness to tackle controversial topics with maturity and wisdom. I can’t stand a pod that talks out their rear. I appreciate how Jake balances his neutral tone with passion when discussing sensitive subjects. His outspoken yet considerate approach is refreshing. It's clear he's a talented underdog who has earned his place in the podcast world. To see him cross over to MFM made my entire day! I’m glad we’re getting to watch him do what he’s passionate about and soar. As a fan, I appreciate how Jake engages with feedback and delivers content that resonates with his audience. Keep up the fantastic work, Jake! TCB!

    I’m addicted to Disgrace!
There are many things people can be addicted to, some good and some bad. For me music has been my addiction from birth. My mom always had records playing. I followed in her footstep’s. I always have music going and am always on the hunt for new artists to fall in love with. Thanks to Jake and this amazing podcast, not only do I get turned onto new music but I get to hear their stories as well. Keep doing what you’re doing Jake, the world needs more content like you provide!

    Great storyteller!
By far the BEST storyteller I’ve ever heard, transforms you right into it. I tell everyone, if you’re not listening, you’re missing out… fav podcast EVER!

    Jake knows things
Like many others I can’t remember exactly who told me about Disgraceland. I think it might have been the ladies of My Favorite Murder. But if you are’t listening to him you should be. My father used to warn me that the people I idolized in entertainment were not what I thought they were. I scoffed at him in the worst teenage way. Turns out he was right. And Jake delivers it all in the most captivating way. Always a conversation starter, I have told so many about this incredible show. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

    Looove this show!!!
Looove this show! I work a lot of hours doing mind numbing work, (not mentioning what I do because I don’t want anything to happen to me that would be a disgrace). I just became a member and I wake up excited to go to work because I know that I am going to listen to the show. So many interesting facts, stories, and people. Jake’s storytelling and narration is captivating. I love the music interspersed throughout the episodes as well. It’s uplifting and gets me happily through the day and night as I plug along. This has made my day to day life soooo much livelier!!

The Art Of Story Telling Perfected!!
DISGRACELAND is an excellent podcast that I highly recommend. As an Art Bell enthusiast, I usually listen to Art Bell & Joe Rogan. However, I recently discovered DISGRACELAND and it’s right up there with Joe Rogan in my all-time favorites. Right alongside Art Bell, When it comes to Hosts! I go for 1-2 mile walks every single night. I usually listen to old episodes of Art Bell, but there seems something strange with the Art Bell podcast situation going on. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but anyway, this is about DISGRACELAND. It’s a fantastic podcast. I enjoy the storytelling. Like stated, I go for my walks at night, so whenever I hear the podcast, it’s like a movie playing inside my head. I started listening to DISGRACELAND before Halloween, like September and I’ve been enjoying every single episode. Top Tier Podcast. Jake has mastered the art of storytelling! And I am enjoying the ride. Just what the podcast doctor ordered!

    Disgracedland: A review
A number of years back I put out to my fb world asking for a recommendation of a podcast. A friends wife suggested Disgracedland. My husband and I have been dedicated listeners since. This podcast is well researched, eloquently written and Jake’s voice, Chef’s kiss. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who love music, movies, true crime or just enjoys great storytelling. Keep up the great work Disgraceland Team and we will continue listening. I’d give more than 5 stars if that were an option.

Insane and Captivating Rock & Roll Stories!!
March 2020 and my life had turned upside down by the death of my girlfriend. When the pandemic hit around the same time, i was devastated. Amidst the isolation and despair I found the soothing balm here that is Disgraceland! As a music lover, musician, and fiend for fascinating music trivia, behind the scenes history of my favorite bands, as well as bands I never thought I’d be interested in, I hit the jackpot, folks. If you love captivating storytelling about the dark side of music’s history, you will NOT be disappointed in this show. The top notch storytelling, as well as the intimate interaction with the audience, Jake takes you on a journey through music news and history like you have never experienced before.
