She claims to be “fair” and “fun”, but Erica Mandy just parrots the same, often dehumanizing, talking points from most mainstream news media. I also wish she’d think of better gimmicks than “Money Monday” 🤮 and “Work Wednesday” 🤮

This is my last episode of The Newsworthy. More and more over the past few months, I’ve noticed that the reporting on the genocide in Palestine has been biased and lacking in context, with Erica Mandy favoring Israel. This episode’s framing of the IOF “reclaiming” land in Gaza and dropping pamphlets on terrorized Palestines was irresponsible and disgusting. I urge anyone with a conscience to reconsider subscribing.

I took off a star because she is definitely biased. She doesn’t make outright comments (thank you) but will only report negative stories about republicans. Otherwise I appreciate the short review of news and listen daily.

Hey Erica Mandy! Here’s a newsflash for you: you’re not “fair” news! You clearly side with the left- change the name of the podcast!

So thankful I stumbled across this gem of a podcast a couple of weeks ago! I wanted an unbiased/nonpartisan take on the top stories of the day, and this is exactly! Perfect to give me a slice of the news on my daily commute. Erica Mandy is easy to listen to and adds a little more fun to each episode with bonuses like “Money Monday” and “Trivia Tuesday” etc. My only complaint is just that I want more!

The host, Erica, does not fact check and spreads the many lies in legacy media. It’s unfortunate she is part of the problem.

This podcast is fantastic for those looking to stay up to date with what’s going on in the world without the huge bias and subjectivity you’d find from traditional media outlets. Highly recommend

I’ve been listening to Erica since 2018. She was always unbiased and reported based on facts. After the 10/7/24 episode, I have decided to no longer support or follow The Newsworthy. Her take on what has been going on in the Middle East, involving Israel, Palestine, Lebanon, and Iran is completely skewed and one sided. She did not report based on the facts. She left out the ongoing genocide, the fact that IS is targeting civilians, and made it sound like IS is doing all of this based on being in defense mode. Horrible reporting on the situation. Made me sick to my stomach to think about how many people rely on her for their news source and getting only a skewed version of events. This is how HATE is spread amongst the ignorant. This is how we continue to see a divide. People only hear one version of events instead of the entire picture. Shame on you Erica for continuing the divide with the horrible reporting the last few months.

I used to listen to this podcast every day, but it’s clear that Erica Mandy can’t be unbiased or impartial. How she reports on the war on Gaza/ the Middle East is completely biased further perpetuates the false information. I no longer feel that this is a reliable new source.

Completely left leaning. All the coverage for Harris is positive and Trump is negative. I would love news that was equal for both.

I used to think this show did give unbiased new but learning more and more this is not the truth. If the commentator speaking for the Republican side is from CNN, sorry that is not unbiased. Let’s work on being more unbiased again! America needs more reporters to tell both sides of the story, equally and fairly.

I love starting my day with this podcast! I’ve been listening for many years (maybe 2019?) and had the pleasure of meeting Erica at a book event in LA. I’ve since recommended it to all of my friends. Erica and her team have a unique and informative way of delivering the daily news. I look forward to it daily and it has been a part of my morning routine for many years. I appreciate all the research and effort it takes for them to keep us updated daily and deliver the news in such a positive way.

Wow! That Israel/Iran segment on 4/15/24 is a disgrace. It’s real convenient how the “newsworthy” forgot to mention that Iran was responding to Israel bombing its embassy in Syria and killing people. This specific news story is going to act as my “tell” for any news organization that reports on this. If they report on the Iranian response but omit the backstory about Israel bombing the embassy then it’s a major red flag. The news organization can no longer be trusted because they are lying by omission. I’m no fan of Iran but I won’t be manipulated and lied to. Unfollowing.

I was so sick of listening to news that was biased. Erica Mandy is amazing. I start off every day listening to the podcast and I’m never disappointed. I’m a big fan!!!

I really enjoy your podcast. I heard about you from Dr Phil McGraw podcast when he advised about your earlier this year. I like how you keep it fun and informative in about ten minutes. I like how you say “let’s do this” for the past two months I have binge listened to all your previous podcast episodes from the first episode to present during my 8 hour work day at my assembling job. Even thou it was old news I still learned a lot past stories and interviews you do on your Special edition Saturdays.

So glad to have found this podcast! I was looking for a way to stay more in touch with all the news happenings in an efficient way and this show does just that. Quick and thorough!

The Newsworthy is an essential part of my morning routine. I love that I can feel informed and up to date in important news without being overwhelmed and stressed out.

This is the best part of my commute, and keeps me from feeling like I have to keep up with the depressing 24-hour news cycle. I know I’m going to be up to date with each episode. Perfectly paced and neutral reporting.

It is a great podcast. Love the news coverage. It’s short, interesting, it covers everything you need to know for the day. I wouldn’t describe it as “fun” like their slogan says, but it is everything else they say they are: “fast, fair... and on the go.” My one criticism is the volume of the music between segments. It is loud. And I mean, loud enough to have to switch volumes between Erica’s voice and the music. I just hope someone from the podcast reads this comment and turns down the volume a tad. EDIT TO ADD: Your Copilot advertising, it is not affordable.. $100/week. Who’s your target audience? Your ads aren’t for everyone.

This podcast is so great! Definitely worth the <15 min. The podcast highlights the news stories, but is not skewed one way or another. Highly worthwhile. Worth your time!

Unbiased, succinct, and with an upbeat mood (when appropriate). Drops early enough to listen to as I start my day. Saturday topics are well chosen and informative.

I love this podcast! I listen to it every morning. The NewsWorthy is one of the most neutral news sources out there. The 10 minute format gives an introduction to topics so you know what’s going on, but can research and form your own opinions later if you choose to dive deeper. This is the best, most palatable way to keep up with the news!!

Still a bit left-leaning but closest to the most center a news podcast is that is out there. For example spent a bit today on McConnell’s issue speaking in front of a crowd but always completely ignores the regular gaffe’s we hear from Biden almost DAILY. The host also LOVES to talk about how hot the weather is (with a seemingly left agenda) - her weather/climate change coverage is more sensationalistic spin vs real impactful news.

Listening to this podcast every morning keeps me informed of the world’s most important news, and the concise format allows me to finish it while I eat breakfast. This podcast helps me start each day in-the-know.

I’ve been comparing quick news pods and I have to credit this one for being the most consistent and informative. It’s not as biased though I would say there’s a slight and likely unintended lean left

I’ve been a NewsWorthy subscriber since 2019 and have to say I love how Erica delivers the news. It’s high-level in a concise and clear manner void of annoying sound bites or drama. Keep up the great work Erica and the NewsWorthy team.

I like the show because it seems to be neutral. However, not one word about the Biden family and claims of overseas bribery? These are probably the most serious claims ever leveled against a sitting president not one word about? Starting to rethink how neutral the show is.

This is one of my favorite podcasts and I've been listening to it every morning for over 4 years. Say there are many amazing traits to the show, but above all, it’s amazing because of its brevity, positivity (which is very hard to find in the news), and political neutrality.

I like the show, but the episodes are released too late. 7 AM CST isn’t really early enough for a news show.

I LOVE the Newsworthy. I listen every morning while I sip my coffee and am amazed that as I go about my life I have background knowledge on most of the headlines I hear others talking about. I don’t know how she does it in just ten minutes but I really appreciate knowing what’s going on in the world without having to go out and find my own sources- something I don’t have the bandwidth for on a daily basis. It’s such a good overview of all kinds of news and I’m up to date with the push of the play button. So glad this exists.

I love that Erica and her team sift through the news each day so that I can stay apprised of big things happening in the world without having to spend time and energy wading through an ocean of information. I also really appreciate her unbiased way of presenting news stories. I try to keep myself informed and well-balanced and this is an awesome way to do that!
