JohnSutter“Spiritual but Not Religious”The host is pleasant and likable. This show is not so much practical but delves into pilgrim motivations and stories. In almost every episode, the guest is asked, “Are you spiritual?” And like clockwork, the guest responds, “I’m spiritual but not religious.” Or often, “I was raised Catholic but no longer practicing.” This call-response is so frequent as to become a show cliche. One guest even seemed to disrespect St. James. At least once I’d like to hear, “Yes, I am a practicing Catholic who walked the Camino to honor the faith and saints who made it.”

JamesHafizWilderMuch needed Camino magic!Dan’s calming voice and heartfelt goodwill towards all bring much-needed relief in these troubled times. Listening to Dan and his amazing guests, I can’t wait to walk another Camino! Hit that reset button once more! With my wonderful wife I’ve done the Frances from SJPP, the Portugués from Coimbra, and the Way of St Francis from La Verna to Rome. In 2025 definitely going again, maybe the Via Podiensis. Dan’s amazing conversations feed the flames and keep me sane (sort of!) until I can set out once again. Thank you Dan and Buen Camino!

MbcoleKeeping the Camino in our Daily LivesDan is an outstanding interviewer. He knows how to ask just the right questions, listening with sincerity and empathy. The stories that find there way to the top feel organic. Our Tuesdays are brighter because we know we’ll hear another outstanding Camino story which keeps the Camino alive for us when we can’t be walking it. Buen Camino Dan! Keep up the great work!

YoliriverGreat PODCASTLove this podcast!

drmom12653October 10 episodeWhy publish an episode in which the pilgrims being interviewed had basically nothing good to say about the Camino Primitivo? This was a boring litany of complaints about the difficulty of the route implying that every day was like the Pyrenees (absolutely not the case), the “lack of trail maintenance and signage”, stones on the trail, noise, and referring to a woman they didn’t know anything about as a “hooker”. Wow. Very disappointing

MikeyL22Wishing you wellGreat podcast that was a sanctuary during Covid as I waited to start my first Camino. I gained so much from the wealth of knowledge shared when my Camino was postponed from 2020 to 2022. Each week I listened I gained hope and guidance. Know you and your voice are in my prayers Dan. Thanks for all you have dedicated to the Camino!

Maurice FrankMust Listen for anyone interested in the CaminoI have not yet walked a Camino, but I have learned so much by listening to this outstanding podcast by Dan Mullins. Mullins finds interesting guests and engages them in a lively and interesting conversation. These guests have walked the Camino and they share their first person experiences. I often find myself wanting to take notes because the advice is so good. And Mullins' boundless enthusiamis infectious (in a good way). The backlist is long and worth diving into. And find the Youtube video for Dan Mullins Camino song - princeless. Well done, highly recommended.

Jvhill1966Two treats in oneI have dreamed about walking the Camino since I read an article in 2003. I was supposed to go finally in September 2020. That trip was postponed of course. I also have a son and grandchildren who live in Sydney. In normal years I travel from Houston, Texas to Sydney twice to visit my family. Of course, those travels were canceled as well this year. I walk every day and started listening to this podcast about a month ago while I walk. It is bittersweet because I hear the sounds of Sydney in the background of some of the recordings and it transports me to Sydney and to the Camino at the same time. I am thankful I found this podcast. It makes me feel a bit closer to Sydney and makes the disappointment of not getting to go on my Camino this year a little bit easier. I am also a fellow musician so I really enjoy the musical aspect of Dan’s podcast. I can’t help but harmonize on Somewhere along the Way. Keep up the great work, Dan. Keep walking, keep singing, and keep talking Camino. Buen Camino!

bradkh1Outstanding podcastI have never walked the Camino (yet!) but this podcast transports you there! I love the depth of the questions and the sincerity of the answers. In a world of small talk, this is big talk. I also very much appreciate the sincerity of the host.

thedecousThe Essential Podcast for the Camino CuriousI’ve found this podcast to be the best way to know and understand the Camino aside from being there. By hearing other pilgrims stories and experiences, by connecting them to our own, we are sharing in the Camino experience. We are forming them into a collective story of all of us and the hundreds of thousands who have walked before us. This idea we are all one, all seeking, all finding, all connecting because of a common way that unites us. That’s the power of the Camino and why this podcast keeps drawing me back.

CaminoMarkThe Best Podcast Ever!Dan Mullins is the best podcaster ever and his podcast is the best podcast ever. The highlight of my week is on Tuesday morning when I can listen to the latest installment of Dan’s magnificent podcast. It often moves me to tears of gratitude and joy. The only thing that would top listening to Dan’s podcast would be to walk a Camino with him. You are a good man Dan Mullins. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the time, effort and love you put into your podcast.

Inyokern HikerWhat a fantastic podcast!Dan provides an extrememly engaging and thoughtful podcast. His articulate statements, hearty laugh, and interesting questions provide great opportunities to learn more about the Camino. I walked the Camino Frances in 2018; recently, recollections about the journey keep returning, so I thought I would do some research for another Camino. Dan, thank you for offering so many ways to think about past and future Caminos--what a gift!

dank582Going back! Don’t Stop WalkingDan’s interviews has been a motivator for me to go back and try again. I went to Spain in September 2017 and I completed 204 miles before I got hurt and headed home. I started in St Jean Wales to Pamplona then with severe leg injuries I head off to Sierra, I met two “Camino” angles from Ireland who tales me into walking with them from trikistera to Santiago. I had a wonderful experience that has me all set to go back in the late fall of 2020.

Hannah_HalfMoonAmazing host and variety of guests!I absolutely love this podcast! Dan is an excellent host with a warm attitude and fun, yet spiritual demeanor. I also love the music that he shares, inspired by the Camino. He chooses a wide variety of guests from around the world to share their special story and call to The Way.
