Duffy-PaganAmazing!I’m SOO surprised seeing the negative reviews about this podcast!! Maybe it’s because I’ve seen the results of this education with a friend I went to cosmo school with. She has opened her salon and seems like she is doing amazing things for the industry! I’ve finally started getting on board and now fully binge listening to this podcast and loving my everything about it. I think we need to destroy the typical view of how stylists/salons have been ran in the past. Give ourselves a better chance for success in the future. I’ve done a discovery call with Bek which was amazing, and even though I can’t finically start coaching right now like I would like, but I’m still absorbing all that I can so that when I do start their coaching program I’m more prepared for the changes I will need to make to grow and reach my goals 🩷 Thank you for this podcast and wealth of knowledge you all share!

vinoolyThe name says it allWhy would you listen to a podcast that starts out toxic with the name. After a year of listening, I see the light. The methods don’t work. They are right in one thing, they will destroy you.

MeggieT5IrresponsibleI’ve tried find good in your advice. In my 20 years in the industry, I have seen quite a bit of change and I do believe things should evolve with the times. However ALL of the most successful salons have evolved with the times and still sell retail (with profits to pay for things like education, salon updates, team building trips etc) they don’t have confusing hourly rates with titles like “high tea hour” and people can just book their hilight. The way you talk about people who don’t take your advice is bullying and you come off very shady with your connections to your affiliate link recommendations.

jarrodmelloncampBadProbably the least experienced “coaches” in the beauty business giving some of the most hurtful advice to people that may not know better. Stay away from this advice. This is the epitome of toxic information

Steph_stylistNo, but really….I listen to salon business centered podcasts, in every spare min I have. I had to do some improvement work at the salon, so I put this podcast on and just let it go. Well I’ve been listening a while and I knew eventually I would come around to letting go to my retail. I sat down today to look over my numbers. 50k in product sales last year, and 49,335 in buying the product and commissions. I’ve been wanting to remove myself from behind the chair, and realized if I’m not spending 4k a month in restocking, I just solved this riddle. Love you guys!!! Great work!

Naples momLove DTHThis is the BEST, most real podcast for hairdressers and salon owners. It is not for the faint of heart, or if you have toxic belief systems, it may trigger you. When you’re ready to take some personal responsibility, this will become your favorite podcast EVER. May change your life in ways you can’t even imagine. LOVE!!!

Sarah_M17This podcast changed my lifeI started following over a year ago and it has already made me a better leader. My team is thriving and I feel more relieved.

LaurenElise624Down with DTHDTH has helped me grow immensely with my mindset and my career. They have broken down the barriers that I have felt suffocated by. I love the honesty and knowledge that each podcast brings. Cyd and David have given me the courage to follow my dreams even when I feel like the industry has broken me down. They have forever changed my life and my business! I look forward to each new episode and I am always excited to see what they have in store next!

MattMatthews89A clown showEvery time I am exposed to these people it’s because they are sharing the WORST take I’ve ever heard. At this point I’m convinced it’s called “Destroy The Hairdresser” because following this mindset will destroy any desire to work behind the chair.

AndreaNiorUnprofessional. Unorganized. Rarely researched. It seems as most of the episodes are just a recording of two stylists chatting in the breakroom complaining about things they have no experience with and/or no real information about. Frequently spouting things as fact when they’re just their opinions and have not actually collected any data. I’m all for coaching! But try someone who will actually help you grow your business.
-
Pamela_BobiDon’t do itEntitled & judgemental. Don’t take advice from people who have never owned a salon. Period.
-
LuxieRoseie_YTTheir way or the HighwayI find their way interesting and have learned a few things but I also find myself wanting to chime in way too often. Their way isn’t the only way to be happy, successful, financially on top and actually enjoy your work life, job, environment and co workers . They are super judgmental and a bit catty. It seems if you do not agree or do things the way they encourage… their way of working, running a business etc you would clearly be an idiot.

jamielong@cultivatehairsalonLittle Hesitant, but ok….I have to say, I’ve been following DTH for a hot minute. In fact, some of my previous staff have been taught by both David and Cyd. I love that this last episode, talks about taking coaching A la carte. Also, David mentioning that most salon owners listening to them and get reactive first. I couldn’t of said it better. That’s exactly what I did. However, this episode made me a believer and I’m gonna start tuning in more. As a salon owner using another coach it never hurts to have more tools in your tool box. I’m excited to start road mapping 2023 and seeing where I can implement some of these tools. As a straight shooter “from the old days” I enjoy this kind of transparency and authenticity. I’ll be looking for y’all in the future. In Service, Jamie Long

LoShabinoLife changing insightThis podcast was the jumping off point for the major changes I made with my mindset and, in turn, my business. 10/10 would recommend for anyone feeling stuck and needing a push!
-
StephenmkongLove the insightThis podcast validates our industry, works hard to drive the point home that we are worthy of more and that we should be taken more seriously as professionals, and does it in a way that’s digestible and fun. Keep up the great work y’all!

joy_bellsThis podcast changed my life. And I’m not even kidding.I found this podcast at a time in my life where I knew a lot of things needed to change... I just didn’t know HOW. When I would listen to Cyd and David, I felt as though they were saying everything my heart was feeling but could get out. I made a call... I got into coaching and my life today is 100% different than it was. I make more money working less, I have better relationships with those around me.. and I finally was able to open my salon completely debt free. If you’ve been looking for your people.. look no longer. We’re right here.

looknjsjsjsnbsDoes not show good morals or valueWatching the wAy your social media pages ask for feedback and opinions and then censored voices that don’t agree with your own.... that jist does not right. I would not recommend
-

AmydevennyrocksLife changerThe universe magically gifted me finding this podcast partway into lockdowns of COVID last year. I started listening and couldn’t stop. Somewhere in the mix of things I became a believer in this program hired one of the DTH coaches and never looked back. My boyfriend thinks I’m in a cult and I tell him yes I am... I’m a little Destroyer for Life! Now I’m busy blowing up my life, opening a new salon and working with coach Joy LaMay and listening to Syd and David continue to educate for free on this transformative and very important podcast. -Amy Devenny @amydevennyhair

Jaime69696969A game changer!I stumbled on Destroy the Hairdresser while looking for hair related podcasts and it was the first time I had heard stylists talking about a whole new approach to a career in hair. I wanted to hear more so I set up a free coaching call and a year later it was one of the best choices I could have made! It’s like being in the break room with your favorite coworkers who are guiding you through the way the hair game is changing 💜

J is for JusSo Good, am now a DTH studentI have been listening to this podcast for years, when they first started they were Bleached. This podcast has been pivotal in my career behind the chair and now as a salon owner. I’m proud to be part of the DtH community as a student and highly recommend this to anyone working behind the chair, managing or even owning a salon. And if you’re on the fence about hiring them, just do it, it’s totally worth the elevation of your career and your mindset.
