sumsums33Very InformativeThis podcast is super informative and fun and I’m learning a lot! I can’t stop listening to it! But I need to know… why does she always say “Love you, love your show” ?! Is that really what she is saying? Isn’t it her own show? This haunts me every time lol!!

BrittAyeGirl’s Best Guide to Wedding Planning! This podcast was recommended to me by a friend after she used it to plan her wedding. Michelle has been so incredibly helpful throughout the planning process! The podcast answers everything you’d ever need to know about planning and the monthly premium subscriber happy hours give you a chance to ask Michelle anything you want! Truly a life saver. Thank you Michelle!

EliwjrHands down the best wedding planning podcast around!I have been meaning to write a review for the Big Wedding Planning podcast for a while now. The skills, guides, and recommendations Michelle provides have been invaluable to me in my wedding planning journey. While Michelle has a great free feed that documents her and Christy’s earlier episodes, being a premium subscriber has given me more access to the tools Michelle personally uses in wedding planning, wedding planning happy hours, AND more opportunities to communicate with her personally (she truly cares and makes time to check in personally with members of her community)! Here is what sets this podcast apart from other wedding planning podcasts to me: Budget-conscious: While Michelle doesn’t shy away from how expensive the wedding industry is, she provides helpful tips to set realistic expectations based on a wide array of budgets by understanding the budget you have and setting your personal priorities to move forward effectively. Inclusive: Many other podcasts are incredibly heteronormative and bride-centric. I appreciate that Michelle shows some love and support queer and nonbinary vendors and couples and to grooms. Warm Entertainment: Michelle talks about tough decisions, issues, complexity, and challenges in the wedding planning process in a way that makes it fun, funny, and takes the weight off of to provide support in what can present a lot of anxiety and sadness. I can write full pages of all of the things I have learned from this podcast. As a groom one week out from his wedding, outside of the normal amount of stress and anxiety I carry given this moment, I have been able to move forward with ease and comfort. Can not recommend this podcast any more to anyone planning a wedding!

OrbitFreakA Lifesaver for Wedding PlanningAs a bride-to-be, I stumbled upon the Big Wedding Planning Podcast hosted by the incredible Michelle Martinez, and it truly became a lifeline throughout my wedding planning journey. From the very beginning, Michelle became my mentor, guiding me through the complex world of wedding planning and making the process more manageable and enjoyable. One of the key selling points of this podcast is Michelle's wealth of experience and knowledge as a seasoned wedding planner. Even though I didn't hire a wedding planner or coordinator for my own wedding, I felt like I had the next best thing by subscribing to this podcast. Michelle's expertise shines through in every episode, and her genuine passion for helping couples plan their dream weddings is evident in her every word. What truly sets the Big Wedding Planning Podcast apart is the practical support it provides. The spreadsheet templates that Michelle offers are nothing short of incredible. They made the logistics of planning my wedding so much easier to handle, ensuring that I didn't overlook any essential details. These templates were like a gift from the wedding planning gods, and I can't thank the podcast enough for providing them. The community that the Big Wedding Planning Podcast has created is also worth its weight in gold. The monthly wedding happy hours fostered a sense of camaraderie among listeners, allowing us to share our experiences, get advice, and celebrate our milestones. It's incredible how a virtual gathering can make wedding planning feel more joyful than stressful. The PLAN-IT! LIVE Wedding Planning Bootcamp Day was another standout feature. Having the opportunity to attend an event like this in person and learn from the best in the business was an invaluable experience. It added a whole new dimension to my wedding planning journey and gave me confidence in my decision-making process. In conclusion, Michelle Martinez and the Big Wedding Planning Podcast have created a wedding planning resource that is indispensable for anyone embarking on this journey. The podcast combines expert advice, practical tools, and a vibrant community to ensure that planning your big day is not just doable but enjoyable. I can't recommend this podcast highly enough. It's worth every single cent and more, and it made my wedding planning experience truly memorable.

Big Podcast Fan 23Only wedding podcast you need!!This podcast is the only wedding podcast you need!! You will truly learn something and be entertained. I’m a July 2023 bride who started listening in June 2022 right before getting engaged. I used so many of the tips I learned from this podcast while planning my wedding, including the timeline (!!!), conversations/coordinations with bridesmaids and family members, tips for vendors, order of events for the day, transportation, and so much more! This podcast was also such a great outlet for consuming and enjoying wedding content during this bridal phase of life. It’s a great substitute for feeling like you’re annoying your friends and only talking about weddings all the time. I binged all the episodes and am so thankful for this podcast!

Maya730!Michelle is the best! This review is long overdue but I couldn’t be happier to write it. I have been listening to Michelle since the fall, and she was my frequent listen on my long commute to work. Listening to her podcasts made me excited for my big day and helped me learn so many helpful things. Do yourself a favor and become a subscriber, it is more than worth it to hear the full episodes and have access to her resources. She is incredibly kind and helpful to her subscribers and is there when you need a professional opinion! Love you and love the show Michelle!

PonduhWorth every penny 💕Recently engaged, I started out listening to the free feed in late 2022. After just a few episodes, I knew I HAD to join the premium feed. Of all the things you will spend money on for your wedding - this will have the greatest payoff! I've listened to SO many episodes and have learned so much. I truly wonder where I'd be in the planning process without this podcast as a resource. Even more importantly, the monthly zoom happy hours have given me a supportive community of marry-ers; lovely people who understand the joys and stresses of wedding planning. I recommend this podcast to ANYONE involved in planning a wedding!
-
MishMosh2424You’re going to wish you listened SOONER!!If you’re reading this review and contemplating “is it worth it?” “Do I really even neeeed this?” All I can say is that it is ABSOFREAKINGLUTELY WORTH IT PLUS SOME! All the great reviews are true and I have never witnessed someone so dedicated to their listeners! You feel like are you catching up on all the wedding details with your girlfriend and the best thing is MICHELLE IS ACTUALLY THERE FOR YOU!🤯 I even have a full planner and would still recommend this podcast to people who have one!! It makes you feel confident that you know every angle in planning your wedding to make it feel uniquely yours. Famous TBWPP quote “you don’t know, what you don’t know” and that’s exactly what your learn from them. Things you wouldn’t even know to ask or think of! With all that being said! Thank you so much Michelle AND Christy! You girls really changed the game for couples planning their wedding and we all can’t thank you enough! I am so excited to continue to see you grow and making your dreams come to life!! Keep killing it girl!!😘 Xoxo Michelle R

ChloegettingmarriedThe perfect engagement gift!Give this to anyone who is recently engaged! It’s way more useful than what you were planning to send, and no one can drink that much champagne. It’s like a wedding planner and a support group for $99 bucks. They’ll be indebted to you through the wedding planning process and beyond!

missmissy87Swallow that pill and subscribeHonestly it was a bit of a hard pill to swallow when my favorite podcast became subscriber only. But after a month of giving it up I simply decided to give it a shot, because I thoroughly missed Michelle. I’m glad I did! I’m fast approaching my wedding date and soaking in as much info as possible. When you become a subscriber you not only get the regular bulk of episodes but a bunch of bonus ones too. Plus other resources. It helps release a lot of wedding planning tension so if you need that I highly recommend just spending some extra cash for your own sanity throughout planning!
-
sfba2009100% worth itI had been binge-listening to the Big Wedding Planning Podcast for a few months when Michelle switched to a subscription model and, like many, I was surprised and hesitant to pay for it. There’s so much free content available and it can be hard to justify what feels like an “extra” expense when you’re on a (wedding-related) budget. But I ended up caving and I have zero regrets. Her episodes since then are just as useful as always, but I’ve also gotten incredible value from the happy hours and extra resources she provides with the subscription. The happy hours are really fun and provide a sense of community as well as an opportunity to get questions answered by her live. After the first one I now put them on my calendar as soon as she announces them and plan around them! And the resources she provides include her wedding day schedule template (which is like nothing else I’ve seen on the internet, SO helpful) as well as many other things I wish I’d had at the start of my wedding planning. If you’re questioning whether you should pay for it, just do it - I’ve listened to several other wedding planning podcasts and nothing else provides this quantity and quality of information.
-
lkyladyHands Down THE Most Helpful Resource!!!I’ve been listening to this podcast long before I was engaged, knowing that I would be planning a wedding soon. I’ve listened to a lot of the past episodes and stay current with the new ones because they each have something I’ll take away. I also signed up for the Master Class and am so glad I can use that as an additional resource to make sure I’m completely informed while planning my wedding. Thanks to the advice, we hired a wedding planner, but I’m glad I am so prepared for the meetings with my planner. Also, the Happy Hours are such a great time to ask questions live and hear the other advice for other members!! Wow! There are so many great resources here. I’m so glad I found this podcast. Michelle is the most valuable resource of them all. She is so knowledgeable and and helpful!! Thank you for helping make my planning not so stressful and fun!
-
Mary LeahBest Wedding Planning ResourceThis is by far the best wedding planning resource I’ve come across! Michelle is so engaging and I learn so much every single episode. Not only is this podcast helpful but it is so fun and entertaining too! I recently joined the premium subscription and am blown away with all that it comes with, including video courses and wedding planning excel templates. The monthly zoom wedding planning happy hours are so fun too and have created such a nice sense of community! 10/10 recommend!!!
-
garbanzobean1234Worth the subscription!!!I’m currently at the beginning stages of planning my wedding and this podcast has been incredibly helpful in so many ways! Not only do the podcasts offer a wealth of knowledge, Michelle answers email questions so thoughtfully (and quickly - literally faster than my actual hired wedding planner) and also puts on monthly zoom calls for subscribers. It’s so nice having an expert with a wealth of knowledge and experience so accessible for wedding planning questions!!! Thank you so much for everything that you do Michelle!
-
lovefromCOWhat’s Going on with Episodes? This planning podcast is my favorite and I find Michelle so informative! But is every episode suddenly moving to a subscribe basis? That’s super disappointing. Suddenly they’re cutting off after 20 minutes. I get maybe some extra episodes being a subscription, but all of them? I’m confused and probably going to be unfollowing unfortunately! :(
-
hR from WIReal advice & so fun!I’m planning my wedding LOVE listening to Michelle! She has realistic tips & tricks and important conversations with guests. She’s honest, and realistic about the stress and excitement that goes into planning a wedding, and does it in a friendly way! I highly recommend listening to add some fun, and insight into your planning adventure!
-
KatelynC LMTLife Saver!I was just married on 12/3/22 and your podcast was SO helpful throughout the planning process. I also signed up for one of the boot camps for the final stage of planning. I hired a day- of coordinator, but did the rest myself with your help. Among the MANY ideas I took from the podcast, here are a few that stand out: ceremony logistics I had completely planned months before the rehearsal, making that event very smooth, seating chart alphabetical by first name, planned out my beauty regiment (eyebrows, lashes, etc), and I’m sure there is more. It also helped that you keep it light and I found myself laughing which helped with the stress. We got the compliment that it was the smoothest wedding our guests have been to, and I was so proud. Thank you so much - Katelyn from Chester County, PA
-
Monikerying AroundRyan Cabrera!!!!!!!!Downvote for how the host sounds like she doesn’t know anything about Ryan freaking Frank Cabrera and did barely any research. Boo!
-
TaylorGreyFanThe best planning podcast out there!I’ve tried a bunch of planning podcasts but this is by FAR the best one! Exhale, it’s all going to be ok now.
-
Darthvada1I finally got an iPhone and HAD to leave a review!Seriously I have been wanting to leave a review to support in the best way I can due to my tight budget for so long! I even left a voicemail a year ago because I couldn’t do this. Anyway, This is hands down the BEST wedding planning podcast! Trust me I’ve been engaged for a while and listened to many of them. Every episode is full of incredible tips and tricks as well as helpful advice and support in parts of your life that you didn’t even know were going to have an effect on your wedding planning. If you don’t have a wedding planner you NEED this podcast to help you plan. And even if you do have a wedding planner you still NEED this podcast to get your wedding fix without driving everyone in your life nuts with wedding talk. Me I need it for both. Michelle has literally dedicated her life to helping listeners plan their weddings and she (plus everyone who has helped her along the way) have created an invaluable resource for anyone involved in planning a wedding 💛
-
SoccerAllieEntertainingly Exceptional!Planning a wedding is so stressful. Do not go at it alone. Michelle and her all star category of wedding professionals are life and marriage savers. Their industry knowledge is worth gold and they’re sharing it for free every single week. Definitely a must listen show for anyone experiencing a wedding now or in the future.
-
BA Bride-to-BeThis podcast keeps me sane. Why would you want a Month-of Coordinator instead of Day-of? Is the venue’s included planner a replacement for hiring your own? Does a fake cake cost the same as a real one? What do these sentences even mean? This podcast has taught me so much in such a small amount of time while still being digestible. I feel confident talking to vendors about my wedding instead of lost, and it is so easy to feel lost when throwing the biggest event of my life for the first time- and it’s not even just about my life or my opinions!! After a 12+ hour work day, knowing I have to still push through to prepare for the wedding, just listening to this podcast helps me to feel like I’m moving forward while just trying to survive life. I listen on my commute, folding laundry, and while getting ready for bed. Instead of feeling like I just attended a lecture, I feel like I just listened to a few new friends reveal helpful advice that is legitimately helpful. Even learning about other potential hurdles that I do not have to face has helped me appreciate what and who I do have in my life while opening up my awareness to others’.
-
Jasmine Rose YepezThis podcast led to my career as a wedding planner!I discovered this podcast when planning my own wedding. Throughout the wedding planning process I listened to every single episode and developed an interest in event planning that I just couldn’t shake. I ended up leaving my previous career and pursuing full time wedding planning for LGBTQ+ couples and I wouldn’t have found this passion if it wasn’t for this podcast. Every episode is intentional, heartfelt, funny, and I love how down to earth Michelle is. I HIGHLY recommend this podcast for any nearlywed or anyone in the wedding industry. A true gem!!
-
AerdnablueThe best wedding planning podcast to listen to!I absolutely adore this podcast! My former coworker recommended this podcast as soon as I got engaged. Michelle (and Chrissy) provide so much knowledge of the wedding industry and bring up things that I wouldn’t have thought of during the planning process. I’m getting married January 2023 after a 2 year engagement. Even after I get married, I’ll continue to listen and will recommend the pod to any engaged couples I know.
-
dcCruise ladyGreat podcast for anyone in the wedding industry, planning there wedding! What a great podcast!!! So informative and helpful covers so many topics. If you have or will have anything to do with wedding, You need to listen to this podcast. I just love love love yaws. This podcast has answered questions I didn’t even know I would ask. -
Jordyn BardingThe first thing I recommend to clients & friendsI am a wedding photographer, almost college graduate, and a wedding obsessed crazy person. Although I am not yet engaged, I have extensively researched wedding hacks, tips, and everything else under the sun and I cannot tell you how much I love this podcast. I often have engaged young friends with questions as well as clients who are looking for direction and this is the first place I tell them to look. It is a collection of funny, informative, and easy to listen content that has expanded my love and knowledge of weddings more than any other podcast, video, or blog. If you’re thinking about listening, just do it. Join the club.
-
aves2002OBSESSED!!!These reviews are beyond legit. I’m not one for reviews or actually even podcasts but I had to come over here from Spotify to share my love! I got engaged in April and searched for help through online forums and other podcasts but it was all the same information… that we all pretty much know already. That was until I found TBWPP! Michelle is absolutely fantastic and while we miss Christy this show is still going so strong. It makes my hour long Atlanta commute fly by (twice a day). Michelle has so much experience and shares her overflowing knowledge of the wedding industry with us for FREE. Not only that but she does it in such an entertaining and fun way that I get excited all over again to plan even minor details. I adore every guest she brings on the show—which is every week and covers all topics. I can’t get enough so I signed up for her wedding planning boot camp!! THANK YOU SO MUCH MICHELLE!!!! We got this y’all! #literalLifesaver #planThatWedding
-
iris_wileyThe BEST resource I found! As a bride who planned her own 130-person backyard wedding (no coordinator), this podcast gave me the best, most useful information out of any of the resources out there. I had feedback like “this was the smoothest wedding I’ve ever been to” and “the whole ceremony just felt exactly like you two” and I credit the big wedding planning podcast for helping me absolutely nail my vision and throw the wedding of my dreams. Sending this podcast to every bride in my life 💛 - Iris
-
femmelissaMy big queer self loves your big wedding inclusivity!!!I downloaded Apple podcasts just so I could finally write a review for TBWPP! (I listen on Spotify which only allows me to give stars) The podcast is so informative, fun, and funny and I’ve binged like all the episodes since getting engaged in March, and finally joined the Patreon this month. It’s making wedding planning enjoyable and accessible for me when I don’t have a lot of people in my life who have planned weddings, and my fiancée and I both work pretty demanding jobs and don’t have a ton of time to dedicate to wedding stuff. But….my biggest and most important compliment is how much I love how inclusive and queer-affirming this podcast is. I’ve been truly exhausted and a little unpleasantly surprised by how heteronormative most wedding stuff still is in 2022. Even my venue writes me and my future wife emails about the “bride and groom” when they’ve met us (and our big boobs and female pronouns) in real life. Great job on age/gender/ability/size/race/budget diversity all-around. The podcast is a ball of sunshine and listening feels like I’m chatting with friends. (I might even bite the bullet and pay for the masterclass…I have no doubt it will be worth the money) Thanks for it all! Melissa D’Andrea
-
evelynJ3Helpful, inclusive, and entertaining!I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few months since before I was engaged, and even though a planner is not within my budget, I feel so much more relaxed and prepared thanks to their expert planning advice. I’ve listened to a few other podcasts but this is the best— Michelle and Christy are by far the most inclusive, thoughtful, prepared, and non-judgmental. They bring in great guests and have such entertaining banter to pair with their wealth of knowledge. THANK YOU Michelle and Christy for this incredible (free!!!) resource helping people plan weddings of all sorts, you guys are awesome!
-
ChelseabpereiraSo resourceful!Thank you to Michelle for producing this show & providing endless tips and resources. I’m a type A bride at the beginning of the wedding planning phase and I already have so many notes from this podcast! I’ve only been planning for two months and could tell I was over sharing with my fiancé and friends. Listening to this podcast gives me a creative outlet without bombarding people with my excitement! :-) from budget, florals, decor, and destination travel advice I have already picked up so much. I even have a zoom call with Linda Mitchell from the destination wedding planning episode next week. I plan to use her for my destination wedding in Cancun Mexico. Keep doing what you do!
-
Andi7002The Real DealThis podcast is a breath of fresh air. The hosts are honest, entertaining, consistent, and inclusive. Michelle and Christy helped me understand all aspects of wedding planning, always with a fun twist. Listening really helped me through the pandemic. Thank you!
-
_AshleyZ_So Grateful For This ShowI got engaged in February 2022, and I am planning my October 2022 wedding. I binged the pod, and I am currently listening back to absorb the information. I am so thankful for this podcast. I was convinced to go ahead and hire a wedding planner thanks to this podcast. Best decision I’ve ever made. I’m a type A control freak and I feel relieved having support and know I can enjoy our wedding day without the stress. Michelle, you’re killing it solo! I appreciate your point of view and advice. Thank you for giving us all so much *free* advice and information. Love you, love your show!
-
DSU PASo Many ThanksI am so thankful for your guidance, entertainment, and insight, Michelle. I started planning my wedding this past September with my fiancé, and you have given me so much comfort and so many warm giggles along the way. Our wedding is this June, and I know I will still be listening after the planning is done because I feel like you’ve become one of my favorite friends I’ve never met in person 😅 Keep up the great work and thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️
-
sdoublegInclusive, Kind, Real AdviceAs an introverted, new home-owning bride on a budget, I love TBWPP for their kind and practical advice that is delivered without judgement for those of us who can’t afford and aren’t comfortable with a magazine wedding. Thank you, Christy and Michelle for your sage advice and boundless generosity. You’re making the process far less nerve-wracking for me. Great to listen to while I DIY my decor. 💛

CynD4BizMOB seeks updated wedding info for daughter’s turn down the aisle. Two of my kids got engaged a week apart in December 2019. Little did we know they would quickly become a Covid groom and a Covid bride. One is just now getting married and the other one has been married for 16 months. Several months ago as we ramped up the planning for my daughter’s wedding, putting Covid aside, it became clear many, if not most of the protocols that my friends and I rigidly followed as brides in the early 80s to 90s were not followed so rigidly, if all. To support my daughter, I needed to update my wedding knowledge. I listened to several different wedding podcasts until I stumbled upon The Big Wedding podcast. I never went back to another podcast after this one. Michele and Christy generously shared their expertise in a valuable. and entertaining way and now Michele continues to evolve the podcast with terrific special guests that bring deep level of expertise in specific areas and others who share personal experiences that are valuable and entertaining too. Quick benefits. #1 my daughter could no longer argue I didn’t know what I was talking about when I made suggestions. This was her wedding to plan and her vision to be realized, but the devil is in the details… #2Who knew wedding insurance was such a thing and you needed to get some liability protection. #openbar # 3. Totally changed what was acceptable in contracts. There are a lot of creative people but may not be business focused that are doing a Flowers food etc.It was huge to understand what needed to be in the contract and we shouldn’t be in the contract. I walked away from a caterer who was probably really good, but it was a risk. The list could go on and on. I hate taking the time to write thorough reviews if write them at all, But I receive so much from this podcast I felt compelled to throw my hat into the ring of support. I have forwarded this to every friend I have that is supporting their kids produce so a wedding. Thank you Michele and please tell Christy thank you for her contribution in creating this podcast too. PS I think I will probably still be listening to the podcast after the wedding is over.
-
User girl 8My favorite podcast!I am so thankful I found this podcast. Michelle and Christy’s advice has been extremely helpful throughout my entire wedding planning experience. They break down specific topics and bring on super knowledgeable guests. I am not sure where I would be without this podcast. Keep rocking it Michelle!
-
ashley 10051So helpful!I am getting married this October and this podcast has been so incredibly helpful!!
-
mick101226Advice that’s actually helpful!I’m so glad I found this podcast! I had been listening to a different planning podcast and I wasn’t really getting many valuable takeaways other than to just prioritize your budget (which seems obvious to me lol) With this podcast I really do get multiple really useful tips. nikkib337A MUST MUST LISTENI’ve been listening to The Big Wedding Planning podcast since I got engaged back in April 2021 and it has been a GODSEND! My Fiancé and I love listening together and with each new episode, it never ceases to spark new conversation about how we can make our wedding more “us” and fun! Thank you so for this show! It helps make this process so much more enjoyable (and wayyyy less overwhelming).

GiannaCaicedoTruly the BEST wedding planning podcast!!I got engaged in May 2021 and started listening a month later and quickly realized I had no clue what I was getting myself into. Honestly, I wish I started listening years prior to getting engaged. I researched dozens of wedding planning podcast but TBWPP is the BEST one! Sooo many help tips and tricks I never would've found by googling. I started listening from the beginning and now I'm kind of jumping around. The YAWA's are my favorite because you get to here questions you may not have ever thought about. My wedding is officially scheduled for August 2023 so now that I'm getting down to planning specific aspects I can finally go back and listen to the respective podcast episodes and feel so much more confident when planning. Seriously, just start listening!!! You won't regret it!!

empanadamnInformative, humourous, + relatableThe Big Wedding Planning Podcast is one of the few outlets that provide an unfiltered, modern take on celebrations, how to make it your own, finding the support in your vendor team to do so. As a DJ working in the wedding scene in NYC, I strive to always be learning and align myself with a progressive and inclusive mindset, and away from the old school trappings of what your celebration should look like because of tradition. In getting to know new couples, I like to drop this podcast's name to check their awareness, and if they aren't in the know, offer it as an educational and entertaining resource. Looking forward to what the new year has in store. Thank you for always providing useful output!

TessButtonthe TOP wedding podcast! When I say it’s the top wedding podcast, it is. I don’t have time to be reading about wedding planning so I tried multiple different wedding podcasts and they were either too traditional views or too trendy. Michelle not only sounds like Kristen Bell (at least to me I picture Anna from Frozen planning my wedding) but the information is truly versatile for any bride! I just joined to be a patron member and she answered my question instantly, but also got a second opinion from a colleague. I’m obsessed with this podcast.

skyrider44444In the roller coaster of wedding planning in 2022 you want to be sitting next to Michelle! The best wedding planning podcast ever! Honestly I’d so much rather listen to charming banter and the cliff notes of great advice than read the latest book. With the world today you want up to date wedding planning advice. Only a show like this can ride the roller coaster with you! Michelle Martinez is a blast and I’m so looking forward to hear her 2022 interviews. Thanks for bringing me so much relief and honesty during my own wedding planning. And thanks for helping everyone in these crazy times!
