Design #173

Welcome to Overshare, hosted by Working Not Working co-founder Justin Gignac. In a world of carefully curated portfolio sites and Instagram feeds, Justin sits down with his favorite creatives to get past the highlights and discuss the tough stuff we don't talk about in public often enough.

Great for everyone not just creatives!
As a person who’s not in the creative industry, I take comfort in this podcast. It features many knowledgeable industry professionals that can easily relate to people working in different fields. Justin is an incredibly engaging host who draws folks in right away. Excited to finish season 3!

    INSPIRED
One of my favorite podcasts ever! I'm on my way into my final semester as an undergrad and the episode with Tina Essmaker truly inspired me to stay true to myself. This podcast overall has inspired me to push my personal projects and add meaningfull work to my portfolio. Thank you so so much!

    Intimate talks with geniuses
I’ve been a fan of host Justin Gignac since he was putting garbage in plastic cubes and calling it art. His curiosity and positive attitude really comes through here as he talks with artists about how to make art but also about how to live life.

    Soooo Needed
Even when creatives / people we look up to talk about this stuff, it's often glossed over or sugar coated. Justin does a great job of pulling out the truth and teaching us all to overcome hurdles.

    Inspiring AF
I love listening to these episodes for inspiration for handling the good times and bad ones, too. It’s also great for discovering great creators outside my normal scope of influence.

    Positive Creative Insights
Overshare is my favorite podcast to hear the raw, unfiltered truths about the creative process. This community inspires me to work on my craft and helps me connect with other creatives with similar struggles. I can't wait to hear more.

    The BEST design podcast period
Working Not Working’s “Overshare” is my favorite podcast. Justin, the host, goes beyond design trends and self serious conversation to get very personal with his guests (who happen to be some of the most relevant working designers in the game.) They share sagely advice for both entry level and seasoned designers. They discuss striving for personal life happiness, navigating career challenges, and their favorite swear words.

    Raw, Relatable, Relevant.
Truly a great podcast. Justin has an unparrallelled ability to bring out the best creative insights from guests that apply to any type of creative. Every episode is better and better and feels so unsensored and honest. The live recordings are also a treat.

    Pure Motivation
Alas! A podcast that provides an in-depth look at the realities of being a working creative — in all of its shapes, colors, and forms. Nothing is off topic, contrived, or banal. Overshare and its host, Justin Gignac, get right to the good stuff we're all thinking but don't discuss openly enough. Never missed an episode.

    Career changing...
I've been fortunate enough to attend a couple of the recordings. The one with David Droga in particular was incredibly insightful. It helped my business partner and I decide to pivot our careers. You don't need to learn everything on your own when there are others that have helped pave the path forward.

    Thanks WNW
Great listening, very inspirational. Can’t wait for more!

    Love the realness
Overshare is perfectly represented by its name as the conversations get SO real, and often you learn a lot more about the people getting interviewed than you expected. The conversations get deeper than any motivational or informational podcast. You feel like you're really there listening in on the conversation! And not to mention, it's just funny. Perfect commute podcast.

    SO GOOD.
I LOVE THIS PODCAST. I've loved the WNW brand for a while and I'm so excited to finally get to listen to a creation from them. It is SO refreshing to hear creatives talking about real stuff and not just answering the same old questions over and over. A+

    Hooray! A Relatable Creative Podcast
Thoughtful and real interviewing with different levels of creatives! Not to knock other design podcasts, but they tend to be a bit dry and serious. Nice to get some relaxed insights on how celebrity creatives view their work and life. Party on 🎨🍺🦄
