I look forward to this podcast
Wonderful guests who were on LHOTP as well as having guest hosts who are fans. Brings a smile to my face. ☺️

    Play more of episodes
These would be so much better if they would not start & stop episodes so much to talk back & forth amongst each other. Play more of the episodes and talk less.

    Bonnie Bartlett = hypocrite !!
So this woman is totally triggered by who was elected president in 2016 but has NO problem with Bill Clinton’s dalliances with interns IN the Oval Office - along with countless accusations of sexual assault. What a tool! I turned the podcast off

    Great!
I have always loved Little House on the Prairie, ever since it was originally on TV. I am visually impaired so I may miss small things, but this podcast fills in the cracks. Plus, it makes me laugh and I love that they play clips.

    Love little house
Hey all, I love this podcast, I grew up watching little house, in the 80’s and I own the box set, this is one of the best podcasts, I also love Dr. Quinn cast, I watched that in the 90’s when I originally aired, these are two of my favorite shows, I also love the show heartland, don’t know if you’ll have heard about it, it pretty similar just modern day and filmed in Canada. I’m from Portland, Or, and my name is Liz, you’ll have given me a whole new perspective on these shows💕

Great concept and guest stars but this host ruins it
Love the concept of this podcast and the guest stars from the series but the host Mark just kills it for me. I end up skipping through most of the episodes because they can’t ever seem to stay focused. Also listening to him interview the stars from the series is absolutely painful! He isn’t particularly articulate, and he makes awkward comments throughout, it’s just weird.

    Dearest Mark, I’ll Miss You
I have absolutely loved this podcast for the past several months and even became a Patreon. I’ve been able to look past the host’s sometimes mocking tone, but then the R word was used in the Dearest Albert episode and they both made fun of the disabled. The guest host was a d-bag which obviously empowered Mark to be more offensive than usual. I can appreciate snark here and there, but know your audience. I’m done.

    Love the commentary
I’ve been listening to episodes as I make my way through a re-watch of the entire television series. Interesting information is given about the episodes (either behind the scenes info or insight into the time period). I enjoy the conversation style of the host and the way he interacts with his guests. Absolutely recommend for fans of Little House!

    Enjoy it, but…
I really enjoy this podcast and I think Mark is really funny. I guess my one criticism is the lack of editing, seemingly. Sometimes when there are technical problems, we listeners have to listen to the whole thing. I just wish a lot of that would be cut out. I guess I have one more criticism, and that is that whenever Kelly hosts, they get so far into the inside jokes that it’s not really fun to listen to. it just goes on and on and on. But overall it’s a fun podcast. I loved when Alison Arngrim recapped.

    Thank you walnut grove cast!
I love listening to walnut grove cast, but I do wish that you talked about the later seasons more. Other than that I think it is a great podcast and I appreciate all the hard work you have put in to it. One of my favorite episode is days of sunshine days of shadow and I was wondering if you could do that episode

    A Lot of Fun!
This Podcast is definitely a blast - the host is hilarious and engaging, the guests are intelligent and informative, and the episode clips are a nice touch. There are also cast interviews! So much fun to relive a classic!!!

    Love this podcast so much
Mark and his guests are so fun to listen to. I’ve learned a lot about LHOTP that I never knew before. I also notice little things, like what dresses Laura, Mary and Ma are wearing and ferns and how to pronounce Almanzo and how sometimes the same actors played different parts. It’s always interesting and you can tell how much work everyone puts into researching the episode they’re reviewing.

    Always a good listen!
I’ve been listening to this podcast for a few years. I love LHOP, and the approach is mostly lighthearted. Which as others have stated is a good thing. That being said, they also approach dramatic scenes respectfully. Definitely worth a listen!

    Excellent show!
I’ve been listening for over a year and a half, and my only regret is that I didn’t start sooner. An excellent mix of episode discussions and interviews.

    Boring Host
I’m not sure if the host actually likes Little House, he’s incredibly boring to listen to on the recap episodes. Haven’t listened to the interview episodes yet. Disappointing format, in that there is little episode insight and not in order. Boring.

    I live for this podcast
I love this podcast. Little house is one of my all tine favorite tv shows. My favorite character is mrs Oleson and my second favorite is Hester sue. I think Hester sue was underused and she should have been schoolteacher instead of miss plum.

    Obsessed, in a non-creepy way!
So glad I found this podcast. It’s kept me sane through the pandemic! The perfect combination of sentiment and snark! If you were ever even a slight fan of LHOTP you have to give a listen.

    Self-centered host
I loved Little House as a teen and have been revisiting it. This seems to be the only podcast out there and I have a couple of nits to pick: 1) I would prefer it to be a chronological recap of each episode but I really wouldn’t mind that if 2) the host were not such a bore! I don’t really care about his personal life and find myself zoning out at said tangents taken away from the episode. If he were engaging and funny and BRIEF in those diversions I would give this podcast another star or two, but sheesh, focus on the episode, give us some background to the actors, writers, etc - the guests seem to do the heavy lifting on that - and thankfully so, because I wouldn’t want to listen to this guy for a whole hour. And even with his engaging guests, I’m afraid you lost me as a listener.

    A gem!
Fun little podcast for LHOTP fans. Lighthearted host(s) don’t take the show too seriously (a good thing) while committing to the content, summaries, research, and LHOTP community. The hosts’ voices, podcast pace, episode lengths, and audio are A+++

    fun show
i’ve seen a lot of reviews going after this podcast and all I can say is, haters are going to hate. I personally love this podcast. I look for new episodes all the time. I feel like I have the same sense of humor as a lot of the people on here. I loved Little House on the Prairie as a kid, and still love it today. I love the format of this show, I think it would be super fun to do a show someday. Particularly one of the blind episodes because I am blind myself, and I have lots of beef’s about how blind people are portrayed in the series. All in good fun of course. Keep up the great work!

    Going downhill fast!
I used to look forward to this show and hearing the recaps that took us on a stroll down the Walnut Grove memory lane, but anymore, this show is all interviews!! Most recently, there was an interview with a random dude who draws Little House pictures and did one that reminds him an old Snuggle fabric softener commercial??!! Are you kidding me?!! No offense to the artist, but he has NOTHING to do with Walnut Grove!! There were 9 seasons, over 200 episodes, of this amazing show and we are hearing about some rando who draws Little House pictures and now the show wants patrons?!! No! Just no. This show used to be fab, but it is going downhill fast and that makes me sad. Come on, man!!

    Undecided
While the hosts are respectful and professional while interviewing former cast members of the show, they seem to be mocking the show when they review individual episodes. The cohost that sounds like Roseanne Barr seems to be particularly sarcastic and ridiculing the writing of the episodes most of the time. However, the cast interviews are interesting and insightful.

    Meh
As a devotee of true crime podcasts, I realized after a while that that stuff can depress you. So I expanded my search for other podcasts and was really happy to find this one. I grew up watching Little House, and then started watching the old ones in reruns while the original was still airing (WPIX!). So I know the show pretty well. My problem with this podcast is that, after a year or more of listening to it, I find that at times the hosts move pretty slowly, and there can be some amount of dead air, as if they don't know what they want to say. At other times, they do know what they want to say and it can be a little snotty. Now, I think everyone can joke about Michael Landon's/Pa's need to not wear a shirt and to break his ribs, but something about the last podcast I listened to (The Election), with the main host making up a fake ending and the cohost laughing and snorting just really rubbed me the wrong way. It's a decent podcast, but I've noticed that, after listening for this long I am starting to be bored by it.

    Love it
I've really enjoyed the first 3 episodes and hope to see more in the future. Aside from the occasional technical issues, the quality is great. It has been years since I last watched Little House on the Prairie, but you guys bring up some interesting and often humorous points that I overlooked as a kid watching this show regularly with my grandparents haha. Good stuff.
