Tough to listen to due to one of the male hosts
I listen to a fair amount of Afterbuzz podcasts. I am going stop listening to this one because one of the male hosts is so unaccepting of the other (female) host's opinion that it is painful (it makes me cringe) to listen to. He belittles her opinions. For example he repeatedly told her that her positive review of Tom Hardy's acting could only be because she thought Tom Hardy was hot. She tried over and over to explain her position, only to be dismissed mid sentence with the "you are wrong because your opinion differs from mine, it's just because he's hot" mantra. Obnoxious! This guy should be removed from the podcast panel. I feel sorry for the female host that has to work with him. It is clear from listening it is awkward and uncomfortable.

    Overmatched
While they try, the hosts on this podcast are in over their heads. They're too giggly and distractible. They talk all over each other. And they just are honestly not able to accurately figure out many plot points and historical allusions. Look elsewhere for a good Taboo podcast.

    Why?
If the majority of you don't like the show all that much, why make a podcast about it? I'm not trying to talk you into liking it, but why waste your breath? Maybe try a straight tv review show instead of doing specific shows, then you could just move on to a show you do like instead.

    Great Podcast with Some Caveats
Podcast followed the standard Aftebuzz TV format of young energetic hosts who are alert enough to present a proper recap. The standout of the premiere episode was Tehran. Tehran clearly understood that "Taboo" was a period piece murder mystery and geo-political thriller. Tehran explained the historical and financial signifigance of the East India Company and why they wanted to exert pressure on show's protagonist, James Delaney. Tehran also explained how the the rigid British class structure impacted all the characters. Tehran gave this podcast substance over snark (he actually said something while saying something). If Tehran is present for all episodes, this podcast will remain 5 stars!
