Great pod cast. Two things would make this better. 1. Interview farriers with experience working on these horses could give you a lot more insight. Trust me! 2. Include the Calumet story!

Brilliant work… I just wish there were more series!
Fascinating stories, great reporting, and excellent production. I wish there were more series to listen to.

    When a horse dies
The segments here are all well done but I have listened to the one about Horse Racing, three times now because it is so entertaining, informative and educational. The history is fascinating and the theory of what took place at Santa Anita is remarkable and completely understandable. A “must listen” and much appreciated.

    Well done!
I really appreciate how the perspective of the victim’s was captured. I hope they are able to find peace in sharing their stories and knowing they are not alone.

    Word
If you could get Travis to start incessantly using the word encapsulate as well that would be awesome

    Why only 3??
I love horse racing, radio production & history. Therefore this pod series is just fascinating to me. Just finished episode 2 & for the first time realized that there are only 3 episodes. I am deflated. Tremendous content & production. Kudos to all involved

    Thompson. Amazing as usual
I know/knew nothing about horse racing except maybe the name Secretariat from my youth. I listened simply because of the name Wright Thompson. Thanks Wright! Hail State! 🙂

    Compelling but keep going!
Wright is a strong storyteller and, as a casual horse racing fan, this podcast held my interest throughout. However, I was left wondering, could horses be faster, stronger, and less prone to major injury if the bloodline was diversified? Why haven’t breeders tried this even knowing these horses would not be able to run in triple crown races under the current rules? Please, keep this going!

    Wow
I did not mean to spend my Saturday night listening to all three episodes at once, but this was engrossing. Gonna have that soundtrack in my head all week.
