Vigornian.A glimpse into how people are manipulated to believe things that aren’t true.A great series that starts off showing how a PR firm (Hill and Knowlton) helped big tobacco companies create doubt about the increasing scientific evidence showing the link between smoking and cancer. The focus shifts to climate change, how we were coaxed into doubting scientific evidence, and how climate change became a political issue. I’d like a follow up series on how the pro-Brexit campaign used the same tactics and how the knowledge of experts is being eroded by populism.

francinegilThis is plagiarismThis show lifts reporting, sources and framing from Neela Bannerjee, Lisa Song, David Hasemeyer (Inside Climate News) and Amy Westervelt (Drilled podcast) without attribution. Crediting those whose work you’ve relied on would in no way minimize this story but failing to do so really undermines your credibility. I expect better of BBC 4.
