This drives me absolutely crazy. I love the content of the podcast, but the voice actress is constantly out of breath as though she’s run a marathon. I want to listen to all of the episodes, but I’m not sure I can tolerate it. She’ll stop breathing in our ears to swallow & you hope it marks the end of the labored breathing, but no, after an exaggerated swallow, she starts right back up again. It’s just so unnecessary & it just doesn’t stop.

One of the best pods I’ve listened to in a while! Great acting, great plot, great production! Very similar vibes to Haunting of Hill House and Bly Manor, so if you like those you’ll love this too!

Fantastic voice acting and an amazing story. I’m usually good at predicting things, but i didn’t get the twist until the narrator actually explained it, and my mind was blown! I would also love to see this series have additional seasons, but it’s perfect as-is, so i can understand if they don’t!

Such a fantastic limited series. I would love to see them continue it but with the mother looking for corrupt houses to…investigate. The sound design is phenomenal. Definitely listen with headphones ONLY!

I listened to this podcast in a day. It was non threateningly creepy if that makes sense. Really enjoyable. Each story interspersed with the next and I was happy it ended on a good note.

It’s certainly a ghost story podcast, but not an exceptionally good one. It starts off with an all too derivative story about a girl haunted by her own ghost from the future -who hangs herself- which is far too close to a condensed version of Nell’s haunting from The Haunting of Hill House, which debuted on Netflix only two years earlier. The house itself is the evil, here, as well. Every episode strives to strike a chord through fright or emotional appeal, and some of the atmosphere created is pretty well done, though they definitely give the impression of trying maybe a little too hard. There are some good performances, but overall there’s much more overacting, and prose-like dialogue where it feels out of place - you can feel the script stumbling off the page. It’s too short to justify the disjointed anthology approach of the individual stories with only brief attempts at linking them together through Wendy’s own experiences. Overall, if you’re looking for something genuinely chilling, like me, I’d recommend searching elsewhere.

Loved this! The story was good and I really liked that each room had its own story. I would love to see this be adapted for tv.

This is a cool story. Interesting concept and mostly well executed. I say mostly because there were a couple of times that I had a really difficult time discerning what was happening, but that could have been intentional to make the listener feel as confused as the protagonist. I really enjoyed this show.

I loved this podcast right up to the final episode. I don’t normally write reviews but the final episode really upset me. I honestly can’t believe how dumb that girl is…. Smh, rolls eyes.

You ever see Cabin in the Woods? If you haven’t, give it a watch. If you have, you know you can’t tell anyone about it, save for ‘you have to see it for yourself’. This is one of those podcasts you ought to hear for yourself. Buckle up for the ride into a horrifying trip through a most peculiar house.

At first I annoyed because I felt like the only scares were going to come from loud noises. I thought that’s what they were going for- loud bangs or voices for a bunch of jump scares. But as the story continued, it got better and better. I must say I’m highly impressed!

It’s simply amazing. From the music, tot he story, to the production values. Simply fantastic. I hope we have a second season.

I’ve attended E3W’s immersive theatre performances in the past, which were always incredible, and this podcast lives up to the expectations that their stellar in-person shows have set. It has the best sound design of any fiction podcast I’ve listened to, and the performers are so engaging. The stories evoke the perfect amount of fear to be suspenseful and thrilling without scaring away non horror fans, and the characters are so empathy-inspiring. Hope there’s another season!

I listen to a lot of scary stories but this one was genuinely scary in places. The acting was mostly good. A couple over-the-top moments, but pretty believable. The audio quality was top notch, and the writing was exceptional.

The sound design on this is so amazing! Be sure to listen using headphones/earbuds, because it's like being in the creepy rooms with these characters. This podcast continually raises the hairs on the back of my neck, but also has some surprising moments of sweetness sprinkled in.

I usually avoid things that are very scary, because it can really get under my skin, however this is so well made it really drew me in and I find myself anxiously waiting for the next episode.

A really creepy ghost story that deepens with every episode. Chilling, downright scary, and dare I say...sentimental and beautiful? This hits all the perfect notes of a haunted house ghost story.

I want more of this. Please, make more, and beer stop making more. More forever. Whatever they’re about, just please make more podcasts. If In Another Room is any indication of what this company can do, I can’t wait for what comes next. Awesome stuff.

So nice to hear such powerful voice performances in a story that had me hooked since episode one! The sound design seems like it’s really been thought out. The scares are legit and not just a lame jump scare. Been sharing this with my horror friends and eager to hear how the series progresses. It’s fun to hear the perspectives of the ghost stories in more than just a scary personification (it is scary tho!). But also from a stance of empathy and understanding. Can’t wait for more! 5 Stars!

Generally, I find it really hard to get into narrative podcasts, but I wanted to give this show a shot based on my experiences with E3W’s immersive shows. They have not disappointed, and the same layered acting and sound design in their live shows is captured here, creating a deeply scary and entertaining experience.

Wasn’t expecting it to sound so good, but it’s awesome. Really into it so far.

Beautifully written and acted, and brilliant sound work. So so rarely does a horror podcast deliver on all fronts... this had me legit scared over every creak in my apartment at night. Highly recommend!!
