I’ve been a fan of the podcast for a while - but the Kristian Bruun episode absolutely gutted me. The way he and Alana conversed about life, loss, and Anniston with ease was masterful. Had me in a puddle of tears, wanting to call up that friend who was “just there for me”. Thank you, Alana and Kristian.

Such a great episode. Alana is amazing and got Mitch to do some introspection. He has a kind soul. I love the premise of this podcast. Self esteem can be hard and it’s especially hard during this pandemic. Brought a tear to my eye and warmth to my (also) cold, dead heart.

Alana is the real deal! A delightfully funny host who’s a never-ending ball of energy. She’s also not afraid to get real. Listen and be forever changed!

While this podcast is being recorded in my living room I listen to it from the bedroom and let me tell you, it’s a great way to listen. It’s like I’m right there when in fact I’m right next to them in another room. 10/10 perfect review.

Alana Johnston is one of the funniest people around. I always relate to her honest chats about self-esteem, happiness, etc. Sometimes you just feel like a 3! I also like hearing the guests’ perspectives. Hearing hilarious and talented people be vulnerable makes me feel like - hey we’re all in the same boat here! Everyone struggles sometimes with self-esteem. And I get to laugh constantly while listening too :)

This be funny, with just enough depth to make it super unique. Definitely listen if you’re in the mood for a good haha

I first heard Alana, the devastatingly funny host of the pod, on Doughboys, probably like a lot of people. I’m just a comedy nerd living in the middle of nowhere, USA and I simply CANNOT be expected to observe the rise of every outstanding comedian in real time. Get off my back! Anyways, I expected to hold in tears of laughter at work listening to the pod (and I was not let down) but honestly what’s so remarkable about this podcast is the emotional honesty and vulnerability in every episode. Listening to Alana has had me examining my own self-esteem and feelings in a way I absolutely wasn’t before. Sounds crazy, I know! I cannot recommend this program highly enough. I hope someday I can see her in-person show, but until then, I’m just glad this exists. Please do not knife this review

Alana is hilarious as hell and also bighearted and clearly a beloved friend. This podcast runs the gamut from silly funny zany to real explorations of self worth and I’m so glad it exists. Cheers to you, Alana and Scott. (Btw I love The Knife and do rather miss Love List/Hate List in part because it made me so nervous to hear)
