Sepharad1Good effort spoiled by a non-stop tiradeSadly, the story which was pretty good, was ruined through the mud, and back, and forth, and back,,,, Nobody really cares about the authors anti science beliefs. But hey, if thats whats important to him, good luck.

szandekhPretty goodI thought this was cool. Interesting story and I enjoyed it. The narrator is obviously Canadian so you get some aGAINs and some aBOOTs and other funny words but I didn’t think it took away from it. The story was good and I have to respect the author for putting it out there. Definitely draws on some Lovecraft source material, obviously, but I think he ties it in nicely. If you liked the original story you have nothing to lose by giving this a listen.

~ Violet ~PropagandaAntiscience plus antisocial. Starts of deeply unappealing, and I suspect it gets worse from there.

bad_screen_nameI enjoyed it.It’s funny people giving negative reviews on this because obviously the author has some doubt in the (we are all going to die in 10 years ) unless we all eat soy and talk like our nuts are in a vice. What’s more funny is I am sure they are fans of hp lovecraft and if you know any thing about his political stand points and personal beliefs then that should really get your organic soy beans in a bunch. HOW DEAR YOU! Any ways I liked it, mix of some horror and Sci fi. The narrator/author did a good job, A free full audio book with out ads through out is much appreciated! Keep up the good work! I would love to hear/read more.

MeinfrondsClimate Change Denial RantThat’s what this is. It’s not a story, it’s a tirade against belief in climate change. It’s disgusting.

ESPEErailfanZMTI Wanted To Like It...The author has a very strange way of pronouncing common words, if it happened once or twice I could've ignored it, but it kept happening, "a gain" and "a gain" throughout the story's "pro gress." That's minus one star. Then there were the cringe worthy sound effects, worse than nails on a chalkboard, there goes the rest of the stars. It was a chance to put out another view on climate change, but the story misses its mark and ends in a big ol' pile of nonsense. Sorry, but that's my opinion.

DababsterGood storyline, but gets easily sidetrackedI can agree somewhat with the first reviewer. The overall story line and writing style appealed to me and I did like the story. However the authors desire to correlate belief in climate change with some of the characters flawed beliefs in the Old ones was a rather base attempt to push his views on climate change upon the listener. I’ve read much of the science from both sides of the argument. I just don’t want it shoved down my throat with my entertainment. As for the reading It could’ve been better with a mixture of people with more voice talent but the authors budget could’ve been as much a factor as possible hubris.

strawbrmThe Horror of Madness When a Scientist Denies ScienceI loved At the Mountains of Madness, and while one could argue that the author mimics Lovecraft’s style in a modernized way, S. Lawrence Parrish should not have narrated this audiobook. More so, his aggressive anti-climate change stance causes me and anyone with even a quarter of a functioning brain to drop their suspension of disbelief long enough to google the author and realize that it isn’t a plot device, but his actual stance. Lovecraft may have been a racist, but that doesn’t mean Lovecraft wannabes need the same attention. Sorry. Skipping the rest of this.
