At the end of a long day, my husband and I love to wind down by listening to episodes of the Big Ones. Ghost Ghirls, Little Mysteries, the Complete Woman, Baking with Maria - everything Amanda and Maria do is gold. They are so funny and the podcast has sparked all sorts of interesting conversations in our house, including a lot of bewildered discussions about how many guests or Dear Big Ones writers make a habit of casual theft. Anyway it’s great and everyone should listen and I WANT MORE.

The Big Ones is addictively funny and insightful. I have not stopped listening since I found Amanda and Maria last year. Their show is smart, thoughtful and hilarious! And I tell everyone I know to listen.

Excellent podcast

I love picking random Big Ones to listen to as I try to catch up on their episodes. Then they started the summer series Playcation and I just couldn’t get enough of Amanda and Maria! They are very interactive with their listeners and really did amazing research for the places to visit. I’m still thinking I’ll end up going to The Galapagos Islands someday too. Do yourself a favor, listen the all of these episodes for a serotonin boost!

A wonderful show about ethics with genuine insights but mostly, a lot of big, big laughs. Maria and Amanda are absolutely hilarious and I love listening to them! Don’t miss it! I waited too long to get deeply into this show and I regret all the time I wasted!

I really enjoy listening to this podcast and have recommended it to my sister and multiple friends. Amanda and Maria are very funny and they come across as totally genuine people. There’s a great combination of thought-provoking discussion and goofy stuff, etc. that makes me laugh.

i started listening to The Big Ones during the pandemic, and I’m currently working through the entire catalogue of episodes. i never rated or reviewed because i listened on Stitcher Premium. i love this show so much!! keep up the wonderful work! :))

What dumb dumbs thought Maria sang the intro? Have they heard her sing the Earios hotline number????? Obviously, if it was anyone who sang the intro it would be David Bowie’s bastard daughter, Amanda Bowie. I envision the music video including Pennsylvania JONES piloting her around in a hot air balloon to all of the stops. Guest appearance would be Sandal and her mussel ridden feet singing backup. Then at the end Amanda Bowie throws her bucket hat at the camera and Playcation! splatters on the screen. Kinda the quality of the Reading Rainbow intro but with Robin Sparkles vibes. Anyways, love the show!

Thoroughly enjoy The Big Ones (Maria, Amanda, and Agee together is always a treat!), but I'm particularly loving this Playcation series! I have a long queue of podcast episodes to listen to and there are only a few pods that skip the queue and go straight to the top when a new episode comes out, and TBO: Playcation! is one of them. It's a genuine good time "exploring" these vacation destinations with the intriguing characters they come up with. Looking forward to Maria battling it out against the Web Crawlers ladies! I'm dreading the end of this summer series

The premise of this show is so fun! Love the wheel spins determining ones vaca fate. Equally appreciate character driven episodes and the ones that are less focused on that. Ive learned a lot by listening, like how career driven chefs who ignore their kids can change if they meet the right nanny, and you can get away with murdering someone if your name is something like Sandal and your victim is known to throw a few back at the bar from time to time. (RIP Lighthouse Keeper) PS — I typed 3 different possible titles for this review, knowing there is a possibility it will be read on the show and I was self-conscious.

why don’t you include the links that you are both looking at and talking about so that we can see the properties too? it’s difficult for the listener to try to imagine what you’re describing.

...or I don’t know, that could be fun. But anyway, this is one of my all time favorite podcasts. Amanda and Maria are incredible hosts and they have lots of great guests on as well. I love how goofy this show is while also tackling genuinely interesting moral quandaries. It is truly excellent!

Dear Big Ones, I found out about this podcast two months ago and have already listened to around 50 episodes. Maria and Amanda are delightful, witty and honest. They take complex issues seriously, while also driving the conversation with their humor. I find myself smiling and laughing through many of the episodes. They play off of each other so incredibly well and always engage the guest right from the top with their Little Big Ones. They all don’t always agree, which makes the show all that much better. The premise of the show is wonderful and Maria and Amanda are simple two of the funniest women in Hollywood. I’m going to join Patreon just for this show. A New Big Fan, Patrick Albanesius

I don’t write reviews about podcasts, and I swore that I never would. It’s just the way I was raised. Sadly, the hilarious hosts of this show and their dark (possibly Satanic?) powers of persuasion have forced me to break my solemn vow. And to add insult to injury, I have subscribed to their Patreon. I like what I hear! Amanda and Maria are a great duo and I feel sad I didn't discover this pod earlier. Topics can get serious to silly and back again with some deep thoughts on morality but it's never too heavy. I'm looking forward to more for sure.
