    My favorite Afterbuzz podcast
I listen to a lot of podcasts about the shows i watch and this is easily my favorite one. Not only am I going to miss the gorgeous, complex world of Mad Men, I'm going to miss listening to this podcast! Every episode has deepened my understanding and love for the show. The panel often points out little details I missed or ties it into the bigger picture which is really nice since i don't really have anyone to discuss the show with (I only know two people that watch it!). Thanks for the great podcasts guys!

    Mad Men Afterbuzz show
I am trying to remember if the first afterbuzz was Doctor Who and then I found Mad Men or the other way around. Mad Men ending is doubly disappointing, not only is a wonderdul show ending, but so is the podcast. It is Friday evening, can it be Sunday already ? Everyone who ever appeared on this podcast did an incredible job, the podcast was as essential as the show was. Hope you see and hear you all again around the afterbuzz tv universe.

    Late to the Party..
Just found you & I'm so glad I did because there's no such thing as too much MadMen.. Just wish I'd found you sooner. I've been re-watching MM from the beginning & it's strange how I was so into Don & excused his behavior back then.. Now I see him a bit more realistically & it's changed the show for me a little bit... Thanks for your enthusiasm on your show..lots of fun.

I will not only miss Mad Men, but also this dialogue
After a great episode of Mad Men, listening to this podcast is analogous to the cheese in the lasagna. It’s essential! Not only will I miss one of the greatest shows to ever grace television, but also the in depth analysis you all give to the after show. My prediction on the last show is that it will end on Don’s clothes, strewn on a beach as we pan up to him wading into the waves. Whatever the case, I look forward to hearing your final words on the closing of this amazing era not just forMad Men but for yourselves as well. Take a bow. Bravo!

    Never Too Late
I found this podcast on the next to the last episode, and I wish I had experienced it with you for all seasons. Variety of opinions and points of view add so much to my appreciation of Mad Men.

    A master Podcast
It is rare for a review show to be as well produced as the show it reviews. Your podcast is one such rarity. A superlative podcast for a superlative show!

    Great podcast and hosts!
Although I'm sad that I started listening to this podcast on the matter half of Season 7, I enjoy watching and listening to the familiar hosts of my other favorite Afterbuzz TV subscriptions. I'll miss the detailed discussion from this panel, but I'll continue to view the other Afterbuzz podcasts that these folks are on.

I love this podcast. “Mad Men” is one of my favorite drams of all time and as a writer my appreciation for it only increases as time passes and all of the narrative threads come together. Every week I write a review, but there’s so many interpretations that this podcast never feels repetitive. The hosts always have a working knowledge of not just the show but the history and adjoining literature and thusly I appreciate their unique viewpoints even more. Thanks for the journey to the end! Sincerely, Akash Singh

    Great insight
This show provides great background information and insight to each episode. I look forward to listening every week.

    Excellent Analysis from the Host
Just started watching here at the end and will go back to watch the after shows from season 5 on. The host has an excellent grasp of the characters, but also a peerless understanding of the lead women characters of this show. I wish the show would go back to season 1 as the rest of us mourn the ending of the show by watching it all over again. Great job!

    Great Podcast
The greatest Mad Men Podcast out there, I only wish I would of found them earlier in the series. I would definitely recommend listening to their other podcasts.

IT'S THE PEOPLE NOT THE JOB
Great recap. And I like how you guys treated your own Jim Hobart when your boss crashed in there! (With respect a just a touch of "Get out of hear & let us do our jobs!") More Peggy than Joan is what I'm saying. Ha! Seriously, I love this recap. Been a fan for about three years. You're always insightful and clearly real fans. It's not just another show to you guys. Here's my predictions. I'd love to know your thoughts: Don doesn't die. He rides the rails. He goes off the map. HE plans to never come back. But........last episode, he's in a bar in LA he sees that someone left a copy of advertising age in a booth. He picks it up. It has a picture of Roger, who died the previous week of a massive heart attack in his office at McCann Erickson. This is the same Roger who Don use to compete with. Think of the history between Roger & Don. Roger flirts with his wife? Don feeds him oysters & breaks the elevator so that Roger throws up in front of clients. Roger marries a secretary? Don marries a secretary too. On & on. But what Don doesn't see is how much Roger loves him. End of season 7A, Roger on the phone. "We don't have enough votes. Now I'm gonna' lose you too." The whole McCann merger? Roger did it so that Don wouldn't get fired. The last SCP drink at the bar after Jim Hobart just tells them that McAnn has killed their little company? What does Roger say to Don there? "You are okay". And he gives him a kiss. Then this week Roger gives Peggy the advice that DON was suppose to give her. That she's talented and doesn't have to make anyone feel "comfortable". That SHE is the true creative heir to the Don Draper throne. So what does this all mean? Don will realize that he wasn't there when his friend died. He'll realize that no matter what his own name is, Dick or Don it doesn't matter. It's the people he loves & the people who love him, his first ex-wife, his kids, his co-workers for the past 10 years, Pete, Joan, Peggy & even Roger, who are his true home. Not the road. Not the whorehouse he grew up in. Wether he works for McCann or not he misses these people. The people he should be spending time with. Not a crazy waitress that he slept with a couple times. His people. His team as Cooper would say. And it takes Roger's death, of natural causes, to make him realize this. Not a suicide. No Manson "Brothers" murders. Not a filmed version of the show's open with some ad guy tumbling out a window. Just a natural death. The kind that comes to everyone eventually. We can all go any minute. We should spend those minutes with the ones we love and the ones who love us as much as possible. At work or at home. On rollerskates or playing the organ. Or even watching nostalgic TV show. Whatever it is. It doesn't matter. It's who you do it with that matters. Make sure it's someone you love and someone who loves you. And do it now. Before it's too late. That's the message. This is how Mad Men should end. This is how every show should end. ‪#‎LoveAgain‬ ‪#‎YouHeardItHereFirst‬

    Terrific
I love your podcast. Listening to it after each show gives me even more appreciation of Mad Men--I show that I already loved. But you bring in so many details that I miss, that I want to watch each episode again after listening, because now I understand it at a much deeper level. Thanks so much for your thoughtful and thought-provoking insights!

    How I learn what happened
I quit cable, so I only get a few TV channels and no AMC. Afterbuzz is how I learn about what happened each week on Mad Men! Your descriptions and plot analyses keep me up to date on the show and I can visualize what happened. Thanks for being my ears AND eyes for this show!

    Awesome
This after show podcast is one of the many things I will miss about this brilliant, brilliant show. This panel just has incredible insight and the conversation is great. I will say, I immediately await the posting of this podcast at 11pm on Sunday nights, especially when a lot of s—t has gone down in the episode that I want to hear them talk about. (Most recently, Joan vs. the men at McCaan. Worth the wait!) You all are awesome!

    might be good
I can't get past the grating and obnoxious intro. I figure any podcast that starts like that can't be worth listening to.

    Extension of episodes
I love this after show . I try to save it for Wednesday or Thursday so I can have a mid week mad men fix! I listen to several afterbuzz podcasts on commute- some are much better than others. This is at the top, all the panelists actually have knowledge of the show and pay attention not asking questions that were clearly explained in the show. And I love to hear everyone's theories on how don will end up . So sad only a few left but I've loved every second of mad men and love this podcast .

    The best, bar none.
The Mad Men After Show is a great way to dissect the show. Great insights that take me back to watching the show again after the podcast to catch the stuff that I missed the first time.

    astoundingly splendiferous
i was afraid for a hot minute that i would loose the ability to hear a saul goodmen esque voice talk to me about tv shows when BCS ended. Never fear the madmen aftershow is here to deliver AMC quality analysis to the hungry masses. also this review took me 20 seconds to type up ya lazy bums. GET TO IT

can't wait - don't want it to end!
I've been catching up on Mad Men - episode/podcast, episode/podcast - and love having the insights you all provide after each show. I can't get enough of the show so the podcast just extends the joy of watching! I dread the approaching final episodes but look forward to your input and commentary. Thanks so much!!!

    Great Show - Great Podcast
I really love being able to extend my enjoyment of the show by listening to this each week after watching Mad Men. It is interesting to see what they comment on and the insights the hosts bring up. I thoroughly enjoy this podcast and the hosts very obviously love the show and do their research. It's a very well done podcast. Love it!

    Real Fans
I make a weekly appointment with this podcast. They are all true fans, know the history of the show as well as I do, and have similar reactions to me, but with totally new insight. It's no fun to hear a Podcast commentator's claim to "have seen it coming," when there is a shocking twist in the story. I like that these folks are just as surprised as I am. I really appreciate that they always do their homework as far as historical context as well. If you only listen to one podcast, make it this one.
  • Buffaload
Best Mad Men podcast by far
Unlike most of the others, which sadly I can't un-hear, you guys grasp important details like the names of the characters. And it's cool how you can speak in coherent sentences, without sounding like a third grader reading a book report. Season finale this week -- bring it home.
  • Dncjrbfkvuend
Not updating with the latest episode
I don't know if it's my phone, but I haven't been able to get this past weekends episode "Runaways". Maybe it's because of the latest update? Obviously I love the podcast if I'm complaining about not being able to hear the latest episode. Love to hear the different takes from all of you!
  • Frustrated fan--
Need season 7 back please. Great podcast otherwise.
Best tv show podcast of all I have tried. Others have bad or annoying sound quality-- including other afterbuzz shows--since the commentators aren't in the same studio and call in which really ruins the shows and shows poorer effort with poorer quality. This one they are all there together doing great work and not simply (and literally) "phoning it in." Their love of the show shines through.

Great podcast but where is S7/E6
Season seven episode 6 isn't posting. Using Instacast. Also none of the season 7 episodes show up on the podcast app for iOS7.
  • GiancarloG12
    Love the podcast, but...
Why is all of season 7 gone? Maybe it's just me but I've tried all different ways of getting the podcast and nothing doing. Otherwise it's a great show with great insight and it's always a great feeling knowing that others care about a show as much as one does. Thanks and keep it up!

    Great show but I can't find 2014
I updated my Podcast app and all my subscriptions were lost. Now I only see 2013 episodes.... What am I doing wrong?

    Re-reviewing to give 5 STARS
Bumping up my star rating because so impressed with s7,episode6 review. Thanks for the Mets insights. I am too sports illiterate to catch it on my own.

    A couple of thoughts about S7, E5
Loved your roundtable. Especially appreciated guest co-host Kirsten Ford. Nice to have some behind-the-scenes discussion plus a woman’s insight to character motivation is always welcome. About Ginsberg. So sad. I understand being a bit surprised about his dislike of ‘homos’, but do you recall his relationship with his father? There’s something weird about how he was raised and his home life. I think Ginsberg is one of the creative geniuses in the office, but his personal turmoil destroyed him. Although we didn’t see him at home much, I think that’s what drove him crazy. Sigh. About Lou. You know that expression “Sh** floats”? He’s that guy. Despite not getting along with his peers, being mean to his subordinates and lack of creativity, in a creative job, he’s that guy that always rises to the top while making your stomach turn. I predict his comic will be a big hit and that’s why he’ll leave the agency. By the way his comic reminded me of the Beatle Bailey strip. Betty. She was hot in that yellow dress. I just had to make mention. I’m always on the edge of my seat watching this show and excited for each character. Wish the season was longer, but the quality of the writing and acting makes up for it. Looking forward to your take next week. Good work.

Afterbuzz is like viewing Madmen twice a week!
Thanks for putting on a great show! Because of your show, I watch each MadMen episode at least twice —first, new episode, then I listen to your show (sometimes twice :),and go back again to watch Madmen a second time with your breakdown in mind! I LOVE your podcast it’s the highlight of my week, after the show, of course!!!!
  • BabsyB
    So great

  • J Schlep
    Love it!
