NatoyaheardUnder ratedI’ve been listening to who killed for a couple years now. I really like it- especially the Amy episodes. I think the host is at his best doing the ‘deep dives’, but they’re all pretty good imo. The only episode I didn’t like was the Turney episode because as someone already stated it did come off a little like an awkward first date lol. But I think it’s overall a great listen. He’s also adopted a new style of presentation lately that’s really great sounding. Keep it up, I love this podcast!!! Keep it up Bill!
-
Lizzie hizzieTake the adviceI think the host needs to take a course in public/broadcast speaking. I’m not being rude, most people would benefit. There are certain bad habits each generation picks up (e.g. saying “like” repeatedly) and we reinforce that habit in conversation with our peers. It’s good to take a step back and gain perspective. Listen to how great broadcasters pace their speaking and don’t fill silence with um, like, you know. This pod has potential but currently it’s just hard to listen.

MrsliverAudio too choppyI can’t even listen to the new episodes its too choppy
-
rolltide239923Good podYo Huff dawg, don’t let the haterz stop you from doing your thang
-
hibye100492Wrong namesUsed the wrong name in the latest episode regarding Savanah Soto. Too much stuttering. Saying “and blah blah blah” is so disrespectful. First and only time listening. Awful.
-
While it lastedEdit! The music in the talking intro is TOO much. The stories are interesting, but the commentary, the stuttering, and page turning could be edited to be better. It’s just not a “smooth” listening podcast. I tried to like it, but have to see if any changes are made after listener feedback before unsubscribing.

Spook2517Enjoyed at FirstWhen it’s an actual story it can be good. So many episodes are just press conferences though. Stopped checking updates.
-
cinjiWrong facts and town name mispronunciationI listened to the Dixie mafia episode and the guy says the Sherry murders occurred in 1973. Nope, try 1987. Also why oh why can’t y’all look up how to pronounce city names?? It’s pronounced, bill-luck-see, not bill-ox-ee. Have we not heard of editing? Crappy research.

uodate your app properlyPoorGenuinely poor. Bad audio, won’t even respond to listeners when pointing out episodes with audio issues. Ad interruptions ever few minutes. Remove from your subscribed. Hate to say it, despite loving true crime garage, and trying to give this guy a chance. Bummer
-
kaivonpNot worth the timeThe host is completely superficial. He has no insight or commentary that you couldn’t find in 5 minutes on Wikipedia. Overall, it’s a boring and self-indulgent podcast.
-
Funny girly head sueWthSo the episode about the Idaho murders, the host is talking about showing dignity to the victims with his guest… and then seems to say it’s a white girl thing???? Wth does that mean!!! The host is a truly disturbed individual for that comment
-
DuchessOfNYDuchess of NYCI’ve always loved this podcast; I think Bill is an excellent interviewer and there are always interesting guests. But I’m finally writing a review today because he posted simply the audio of a press conference regarding a current case, and I appreciated it so much. I wouldn’t have necessarily gone looking for it, but since it was there in my feed, I listened, and I’m glad I did. Just a great podcast!
-
just so thankful in FloridaLike like like this is torture to like listen to this like podcastIt’s not edited properly, and the host and the guest if “Lisa Lexke” is more torturous than listening to a can of middle school girls. Unbearable, I couldn’t even get half way through it
-
honor.pc☺️i LOVE his voice and he has such a warm, respectful vibe. keep doing good!
-
PSRhondaWho Killed ?I listen to many podcast and this is one of the most uninteresting podcast. The dialogue is boring and it reminds me of a middle schooler making a podcast. I would give a zero if I could.
-
Kandyst4rBoring and annoyingI always find it interesting when true crime channels cover missing white people and then complain about people talking about white people.
-
Hagen729He tries but…The host does seem to have a passion for true crime which I appreciate but the podcast itself is nearly unlistenable. Sometimes the host is clearly reading from a script with the broadcasting skills of a local cable access news show. Other times, he tries to talk off the top of his head and this (I can’t believe I’m saying this) is even worse. The editing of the podcast is the worst I’ve ever heard. If you can forgive all this, go ahead and give it a listen. If not, well…

TildaJeanHaltingly deliveredConversational rather than informative

JulieD2019New Bedford Serial Killer CaseI was glad to hear this case covered. One of the more complex serial killing cases. One of the reasons why - probably because it was kept out of the media – under very tight control? I’m also glad that you had the author of the book Shallow Graves on for her important perspective. NBSK case should get a fresh set of investigators on it.

MazyCakesIf it weren’t for Nic…Where to begin… this has to be the only example of a semi-successful podcast with a sub par host, production, editing (and that’s being kind), terrible interview skills. The sound levels are always awful, he reads out loud worse than Bill Burr, refers to himself in the third person, can’t pronounce words, injects his personal opinions when no one cares, terrible attempt at humor (please stop), cut Nic off mid sentence for commercials once, slightly above average research value, always awkward and unsure of his own ability…. I could go on but the real answer is that it’s still on because the amazing Nic from TCG is on almost as much as the host. The subject matter is good, I just wish someone else was hosting. Why are ads sponsoring this?
-
elmsysteRepetiveAlot of repetition; spit it out dude and do narrative you keep going back to the beginning
-
Jenny SandersMediocreOnly recently did I start listening and for the most part, I was enjoying listening. Then I had to listen, yet again to a senseless tragedy being blamed on guns. I have to wonder if the same was true for the evil mind who killed innocent people during a Christmas paradise, no less, using a vehicle. How many automobiles are to blame for the drunk drivers who cause deadly crashes? Or how many vehicles are responsible for evil minded individuals like the one in the aforementioned Christmas parade tragedy in 2021? I’m not going to waste my time to find out if Mr. Huffman had voiced the same sentiment when that happened, just about 6 months ago. The true crime genre is what I want to listen to when I need a break from politics. The senseless tragedy could have been respectfully mentioned without that tired line about guns. Disappointed.

obfus44Great podcastEnjoy listening 🙂

CallMeErnie or BigErnHorribleThis podcast isn’t good.
-
WavesAndTidesCannot listen to thisGood grief, get someone who can write a good script so you have something to follow. This is the most rambling, in-cohesive podcasts I have ever listened to. Its like a car on a race track who can’t figure out how to drive around in a circle and starts, stops, falters, loses momentum, and still crashes into a wall. It’s so disrespectful to the victims because no one wants to listen to the rambling, stumbling over words, etc.
-
Brian GouletNo Substance or ThemeHeck, just drop some profanity into your talk because you’ve got no content and can’t write or edit. Host just rambles on with no purpose or theme and then drops the S-bomb. Sad. Boring and sad.
-
KeeblizzleGreat show!Information is great, just try to be a little more relaxed! Loved hearing Nic on the show as well, that’s how I found you!
-
Tanna_WannaEditing at its worst!!!I can’t edit, but I can edit better than the people who edit this show. I think a 3 year old could edit better than whoever edits this podcast. It’s awful and painful to listen to. Gaps, hesitating and pauses out of nowhere. If I had the chance, I would have given zero stars. Boo!
-
Rnm75Content is ok, the rest not that goodContent on the Amy Mihaljevic case is good. The editing is poor. Content is often repeated. Commercials pop in right in the middle of the podcast without warning. The podcasts are not produced very well. I realize it’s 2021 but swearing with the F word makes you sound so unprofessional.
-
jennifaeriedawnEditingFor Chrissakes, fix the editing. This last Eastside Strangler episode with Nic seems to have just dropped audio, and the ads always pop up mid conversation with no warning.
-
njdhjd1978Yawn!If you want to fall a sleep this will do it! So boring
-
firstinclassVery Comical. Too bad it shouldn't be.Truly amateur. Horrible sound quality. Horrible interviewer. (Think Chris Farley) "Member when Amy Mihaljevic got kidnapped? That was awesome"! Strikes me as a 12yo hosting this podcast. Also his choice of guests are extremely questionable in what they bring to the table. A lot of them are cut from the same cloth as Bill Huffman. Throwing out ridiculous theory's based on nothing more than it's what popped in his head. This entire case is James Renner's baby. He's done an amazing job thus far. Let him do it and stop embarrassing yourself. You're not helping. Because of your horrible podcast we will never get the Renner version which would have been actually good. Also, advice to Nic from TCG. You are one of the best at what you do. It's bad enough that you have to work with Captain every week. But don't lower yourself to carrying this dude as well. Disassociate yourself with anything Bill Huffman.
-
CDJUWNPlease editThe editing is so unfortunate. This has potential to be a really great podcast. It’s impossible to follow when the editing is so bizarrely awful. Kudos for doing what you’re trying to do but you will never get consistent listeners with the editing issues.
-
lil.redhairgirlSo ... wait ... what ...?Bill, I love how passionate you have been about following the Amy Mihaljevic case. I listened to and enjoyed each episode. Amy was a beautiful, kind person! I started to listen to your newer episodes, like the Delphi case. While I appreciate you having Nic, and the one girl’s sister on the episode, it would have been SUPER helpful to have a recap of the crime. I totally appreciate what you do, but please recap the crimes before you delve into everything else. Thanks! Keep on with the amazing work!
-
Onlyinmydreams🤮🤮OMFG, the 4-part series with Sarah Turney, I felt like I was listening to a bad first date. And, the upteen interviews with Libby. Same old, same old. Sorry, Bill, but you’ve really gone downhill since your Amy series. Time to move on.
-
Beth-manDon’t waste your timeVery nervous. Podcast is not your thing.
-
ADV04Skip this podcast it’s just kinda badJust because you can make a podcast doesn’t mean you should. It’s very hard to sit through. The host has a nervous and unsure sounding delivery and his interview questions seem unprepared. This podcast is just not good at all.
-
ElkochanI can’t anymoreJust rambling conversations that are inane and barely touch on the topic. The Smalley episode is the WORST. 10 minutes about the case, then 50 about COVID, PTSD, Weinstein should get raped in prison(really? Thats what you want to put out there? Rape isn’t OK for anyone). The actual amy episodes aren’t bad, but the other ones are mediocre. Bill needs to invest in an editor
-
SailorFamiLeeLove Nic as GuestI enjoy the natural flow and tone of the conversations.
-
Ivan JaramilloGreat WorkTruly captivating. Keep up the great work!
-
mrsphancyI wanted to like itListened to one episode and tried to overlook the narcissism and self boasting. So I tried one more episode, the Delfphi since I’ve been so touched by this case and praying for answers. Almost immediately you man-splain for Libby’s sister regarding how she feels and then affirming her guilt (it’s not your fault girl!) for being the person who dropped them off. Then she explains how she had to work through that and you segue into who you’ve been talking to lately. Weird af. Maybe take a sensitivity and self awareness course, I’ll unsubscribe from here. Congratulations to your guest Kelsi, she was exceptional.

LydianalaModeAngel Resendiz as murderer of Diefenbach?Love your show Bill — I just listened to the first episode about that poor child Christine Diefenbach, and I got chills thinking about how very similar her case sounded to the murders and sexual assaults committed by Angel Resendiz (the “.railroad” serial killer born in 1959 in Mexico — his only survivor, Holly Dunn, has appeared on another podcast). Angel traveled all over the U.S., Mexico, and Canada, traveling by train as a transient, and he killed his victims close to the train tracks all over geographically. He bludgeoned many of his victims to death — very violently like Christine. There is a gap in his known timeline between 1986 and 1991. He was executed in Texas circa 2006, and I can’t imagine his dna wasn’t tested in her case but one never knows? Anyway it gave me chills as it is so similar. Uncanny.
-
jkl5876Based on last episodeWAY too much rambling from the female narrator. She has spent 15 minutes telling us about herself. Lady, you’re not a movie star. I hope the male narrator is better. I really dislike true crime podcasts when they babble for a big part of the show. Get to the story. I’m not listening to these to hear all about the narrator. I’m listening to hear about the victim .
-
Jra4776Great Podcast!I love this podcast. I dont know why there’s so many bad reviews. Find it well researched & very entertaining. Just give it a shot.
-
tkippyReviewThe last few pods have been more about complaining about the main stream media than about the topic and conversation. I tune in to hear about cases not to hear all the swearing and complaining. I counted at least 5 f-bombs and I learned nothing new about the Turney case. So long, I’m unsubscribing to this mess.
-
Muffins2806MehThe content is actually pretty good. However, the halting way the host speaks makes it difficult to listen to at times. Very choppy.
-
iloveme1234Thank you for doing this podcast.I lived in Bay Village for ten years and people were still talking about who killed this poor little girl. I really didn’t know much about the whole situation until I heard this podcast. I really am glad that I listened.
-
trjvbpPlease kill the music! So distracting to have to block out the super loud music to hear the speaking! It does not enhance the show at all. It’s like a gnat in your ear....
