Zombie Nights

26

"Being a zombie, not so easy". That could have been Dave Connor's six word memoir. "At first he couldn't remember how he'd ended up in that shallow grave; he just knew it was hell to claw his way out, and that the taste of its dirt would remain in his mouth for the rest of his time on Earth" ... Expect the unexpected in this existential resurrection thriller.

    Good work, not amazing.
I kept waiting for the moment when Davey figured out how to eat people. Every time his uncle gets close, I think, "is this when?" But nope! This story takes all the zombie tropes and turns them around on you. There's a lady who works for the church, helping people who need it, and I assumed she was a professional zombie hunter, but nope; I don't even know if she knew about zombies for that matter. The ending is....interesting. I get how a lot of people would be upset by the sudden appearance of an ostensibly sexy eyepatch lady at the end, (she's in the final few paragraphs,) and the abruptness of the ending itself. Overall, it's worth it to give this a listen, it won't take up too much of your time and the "poor" quality of the recording is easy to overlook as you let the cadence of the reader take over. Hopefully, it will give you a bit of thought to chew on, and that's enough for me.

    No... Just No
Smart zombie? Really, I think this guy needs to reexamine his source material and see what he's writing about.

    Not terrible, but lacking
It's not a terrible story, but I couldn't help but think that the author hadn't figured out an ending, so he just had to finish it. That said, if you want something to listen to for a couple of hours, then this fits the bill well.

    Unique Undead Tale
omany found it boing, complaining that itwas a good zombie. This is the very reason i loved it. Just about every zombie flick or story you know what to expect wth this one though it was very refreshing. The feel of the story remonded me of the Fangoria movie I, Zombie. gtreat unique story.

    Dude, boring.
This story was hard to finish. If it wasn't for the fact that it's so short I couldn't have listen to the whole thing. Who ever heard of a nice zombie? No thanks.

    Meh
The reader is good but the recording sounds like an old hand held tape recorder. All treble and no bass. The story is different...ending uneventful.

    A differant kind of zombie
This was a good story. It was not what I expected and that is alway a good thing. It did feel a little Twilight-ish. Which is scary cause zombies are not vampires and should not be better in death than they were in life. Other than that is was a good listen.
