Great Content: host needs allergy meds
Nice insight, great context, I listen often. Nasal congestion is distracting. I too have chronic allergies.

    Denmark Groover and history
A thought provoking episode, and it leaves me with the same unanswered question I have been asking myself about George Wallace over the years. As each went from racist opinions to much more moderate views, did either have a true change of heart over time, or did they merely reflect the politics of the day? Consider it an unsolved mystery for psychologists and historians.

no to opening show with a commercial
the Lid had been my 1st listen each day, a quick podcast fix, now the lid begins with a commercial, I hesitate to open, and if I don’t listen that day and the show becomes 1 day old, I delete. two thumbs down on opening with and ad, Marc

    Witty and quick info
Carrie does a great job of doing a quick dive into relevant news with wittiness and fun puns. Keep it up!

    Slanted views from skewed polls
The polls that you use are inefficient as they are biased towards the views and the insights of the white voter. Ranging from the extreme right to the extreme left a ledge insight into the thinking and political nature of the white perspective but as we know America is a lot more than its white subset. So how about more balanced and fair polls being taken into account - like those that asks those whine are poor to rich, black to white, and any and everybody in between, because that’s what America is. Chill with the Bernie bashing too, it’s not cool. If you can speak well of tulsi gabbard and act like you can’t see the obvious with her I am sure you can find something well off to say about every candidate sander included. Tell the truth about buttegieg as well, he has questionable tendencies so stop glorifying him as he is not. Put him on the same ground as all that seek the presidency.

    Short bites of interesting info
Love the length - with quick detailed looks at political trends. Sounds contradictory- but try it out and you’ll see!

    NO to Chuck Todcast
I subscribe to Meet the Press. Please stop including Chuck Todcast! This guy just likes to hear his own voice.
  • TrumpDude
    Five stars for leaning democrat.
This podcast has not shown any republican candidates! Only dems! Why can’t you actually be a neutral source!? Like your supposed to be. I listen to this, then I listen to a right leaning news source and kind of make my own opinion based off both sources. If you only listen to NBC, you will vote dem. I feel they can “talk you into it”...

    Insightful and witty
    Love your reporting

Good, but can you do it without a slant?
Carrie, you are smart and charming. But as much as I’m inclined to agree with your views, I can’t help but wonder if you could deliver your broadcast without an agenda. The media, both leftist and right, divide society so readily now. It would be so refreshing to get some unbiased knowledge which we can begin to process on our own.
  • Andeemsu
    Quick and delightful
Carrie is charming and witty, the news is current and straight to the point, it’s an excellent go to for an afternoon snapshot of the day in politics.
  • Clarity4Sure
Humor is to rushed and political bias is evident
Love the idea. MTP has been for years a go to Sunday show for me. These couple minute quips with the forced humor and left leaning perspectives just doesn’t work well if what we’re after is a quality and quick look at a topic.

    short sweet with personality!
love the pod cast news and personality. Carrie is a pleasure to listen to and she makes me laugh.

    Great snap shot of polls
Perfect and succinct way to digest some recent political polling.
  • ShekiPete
    Eh.
This presentation does not connect despite pop culture references I would normally love (to Curb, for instance). Sounds like a robot trying to make a funny. Stick to the politics.

Why can’t we get the entire episode???

    Rachael Maddox
Great support staff. Her presentation is clear, direct & appreciate her understanding of what a waste it is to quote a known liar. She & Nicolle Wallace equally do an outstanding service to Americans

    Too short / irritating style
Too short to add any value and written in a conversational style which is not pleasant to listen to - add in annoying and intrusive background music and its not a great listen - switch to NPR instead.

4 Minutes Or Less (Yes Please)
Short, Sweet & To The Point! Other podcasts should take note.
  • Red morning
    Too short.
Huge MTP fan, but I’m hoping future “Lid” Podcasts end up being longer than 3 minutes. It’s just too short to be of any real substance or worth the time downloading. Something in the 15-20min range would be more in-line with other daily, “commuter-targeted”, news podcasts.
  • Bengland
    Short but substantive
If you’re looking for something in-depth, look elsewhere. These are 3-4 minutes. But they’re a good snapshot of politics and polling. They’re especially interesting for those obsessed with polling data. I usually listen to it on the walk to my car at the end of the work day.

    Best Politics Bench in TV
The whole NBC Politics bench is *the* best in TV (I’m a WaPo fan overall) More to the point this is a short but deep dive into the day’s events. If you want a quick download this is the podcast for you.

Until there is an MTP Daily podcast . . .
Tight, well-written, a good snapshot of a nationally-important senate race in Florida. Good start.
